Abstract
The rapid development of information technology is driving the educational sector to utilize innovative and interactive learning media. One approach is to develop a multimedia-based learning system to enhance student understanding of the subject matter. This research aims to design and build a multimedia-based computer education system as a learning medium for seventh-grade Informatics at SMP Negeri 5 Wewewa Barat. The system development method used is the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) model, which consists of six stages: concept, design, material collection, creation, testing, and distribution. This system presents computer education materials in the form of text, images, audio, and video to make them more engaging and understandable for students. System testing was conducted using the black box method and questionnaires with teachers and students to determine the system's feasibility and effectiveness. The test results indicate that this multimedia learning system is able to increase student interest and understanding of the computer education material. This system is expected to make the learning process more enjoyable, interactive, and efficient, and support the achievement of Informatics learning objectives at the junior high school level.
