Abstract
Recurring floods in Aceh Tamiang Regency can have long-term psychological effects on affected communities, including anxiety, mild depression, and trauma. Psychological recovery is influenced by external factors, such as social support, as well as internal factors, including individual resilience. Objective: this study aimed to analyze the relationship between social support and resilience and the psychological recovery of communities following a flood disaster in perkebunan pulau tiga village, aceh tamiang regency. Methods: this study used a quantitative approach with a correlational analytic design and a cross-sectional approach. The study population consisted of heads of households affected by the flood, with a sample of 70 respondents selected using total sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed univariately and bivariately using the pearson chi-square test with α = 0.05. Results: the results showed that most respondents had high social support (51.4%), high resilience (52.9%), and high psychological recovery (52.9%). There was a significant relationship between social support and psychological recovery (p = 0.000; χ² = 98.679), as well as between resilience and psychological recovery (p = 0.000; χ² = 98.078). Conclusion: social support and resilience have a significant relationship with the psychological recovery of communities following a flood disaster. The higher an individual's social support and resilience, the better their psychological recovery
