Abstract
The determination of beneficiaries for the housing improvement assistance program at the Department of Housing and Settlement Areas (Perkim) of Tanjungbalai City still faces problems in the selection process, which is carried out manually, requiring considerable time and potentially causing errors and inaccuracies in determining beneficiaries. This study aims to apply the Fuzzy Tahani method in developing a Decision Support System (DSS) to assist the decision-making process for the housing improvement assistance program. The criteria used in the decision-making process include the level of house damage, family income, number of dependents, and house ownership status. The system is designed using UML, while the application is developed using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. The Fuzzy Tahani method is applied to process data based on linguistic values and membership degrees for each criterion, resulting in alternatives and rankings of prospective beneficiaries. The proposed system is expected to assist the Department of Housing and Settlement Areas of Tanjungbalai City in determining beneficiaries more accurately, practically, and measurably according to the level of community needs.
