Abstract
This Study Aims To Analyze The Effect Of Variations In The Number Of Cutting Blades On The Production Rate And Percentage Of Defective Products In A Satay Skewer Machine. The Research Was Conducted Experimentally By Observing The Bamboo Cutting Process Using Different Numbers Of Cutting Blades. The Analyzed Parameters Included Production Time, Number Of Good Products, Number Of Defective Products, Production Rate, And Types Of Defects, Including Broken, Bent, Blunt-Pointed, And Cracked Products. The Test Results Showed That An Average Production Time Of 5 Minutes Resulted In 533.8 Good Skewers, 13.8 Defective Skewers, And A Total Production Of 547.6 Skewers. The Average Production Rate Reached 109.5 Skewers/Minute. Based On The Characteristics Of Defective Products, 24 Skewers Were Broken, 19 Were Bent, 24 Had Blunt Points, And 14 Were Cracked. These Results Indicate That Variations In The Number Of Cutting Blades Are Associated With The Machine's Production Capability And The Quality Of The Resulting Satay Skewers. The Optimal Blade Configuration Is Determined Based On A Balance Between A High Production Rate And A Low Percentage Of Defective Products.
