IMPROVING STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES ON TEMPERATURE AND HEAT MATERIALS WITH GUIDED INQUIRY ASSISTED BY SIMULATION MEDIA

Abstract: This study was conducted to describe the improvement of student learning outcomes in learning that applied guided inquiry assisted by simulation media on temperature and heat materials. This research was carried out on students&#8230; tudents in grade VII-G at UPT SMPN 18 Gresik by conducting pre-test activities, three learning treatments, and post-tests. The type of research used is pre-experimental research with a one group pretest posttest research design. The learning outcomes of students were measured by pretest and posttest questions with a sample of 31 students in this study which was measured by N-Gain analysis and to test the significance, the Wilcoxon test was used. The learning outcomes obtained by students have increased with an increase in N-Gain of 0.40 with a "Medium" interpretation. In addition, the results of the significance of the pretest and posttest scores showed a value of 0.000 (<0.05) which means that there was a significant increase in the pretest and posttest results.

LIBRARY LITERACY MANAGEMENT IN MOTIVATING STUDENTS' INTEREST IN READING AT DRIVING SCHOOLS IN STATE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOLS BARITO KUALA

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to find out  the literacy management of school libraries, supporting and inhibiting factors, and strategies that can be applied by the library in an effort to motivate students' interest in reading&#8230; reading at SMPN 3 Alalak and SMPN 4 Alalak as driving schools.The theory used in this study is the theory according to George R Terry. The methodology of this research uses a qualitative approach and this type of research uses qualitative descriptive research. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that library management in SMPN 3 Alalak and SMPN 4 Alalak in motivating students' interest in reading includes the function of Planning is the development of collections and reference services. The Organizing Function is the division of library work programs and reference services. The function of Direction/implementation is the development of collections. The supervisory function is collaboration and partnership. Supporting and inhibiting factors to motivate students' interest in reading at SMPN 3 Alalak and SMPN 4 Alalak as driving schools include technological advancements, collection of reading materials, human resources, facilities and infrastructure. Strategies that can be applied by the library in motivating students' interest in reading as a driving school are increasing collection materials, providing adequate facilities and infrastructure, providing good services, holding additional programs such as conducting regular and continuous promotions. It can be concluded that at the end of the study, data was obtained for student visits to the SMPN 3 Alalak library reaching 27%, which is not yet classified as high student visits, while for SMPN 4 Alalak reaching 65%, it is classified as high student visits.

PELATIHAN LITERASI DIGITAL : PEMANFAATAN MEDIA CANVA UNTUK PEMBELAJARAN

Abstract: Digital literacy training using the Canva platform was conducted at MIS Al-Hidayah Leuwohung, involving 13 teachers as participants. This training aims to improve teachers' ability to create interesting and interactive learning&#8230; earning materials. The training methods included material presentation, hands-on practice, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The results of the training showed that the majority of participants were able to produce designs that meet the criteria of aesthetics, creativity, and learning relevance. Evaluation through questionnaires showed that the training was very useful and relevant to the participants' needs. The obstacles faced, such as limited devices and internet connection, were successfully overcome with appropriate solutions. The positive impact of this training is not only to improve teachers' competence in digital literacy, but also to create a more interesting learning experience for students.

THE PERSPECTIVE OF SECURITY COMMUNICATION IN THE DEMOCRATIC CAMPAIGN FOR THE 2024 GENERAL ELECTION IN INDONESIA

Abstract: The 2024 Indonesian General Election presents significant challenges, including disinformation, cyber threats, and social polarization, which pose risks to democratic stability. This study aims to analyze security communication&#8230; ication in democratic campaigns, focusing on risk mitigation strategies, the role of social media, and cross-sector collaboration. A literature review method was employed, with qualitative descriptive analysis of relevant materials, including journal articles, official reports, and books. Findings reveal that security communication strategies involving early threat detection, the strategic use of social media for credible messaging, and collaboration among governments, media, and civil society effectively enhance public trust. However, challenges such as low digital literacy and information access disparities persist. The integration of big data technology for public conversation analysis offers significant potential for early threat detection and improved communication strategy effectiveness. In conclusion, effective security communication requires inclusive, collaborative, and technology-based approaches to ensure stability and transparency in democratic processes. GAMBARAN PENERAPAN SIMRS PADA BAGIAN PELAPORAN INTERNAL DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN MODEL 5M DI RUMAH SAKIT X

Abstract: Laporan internal memuat catatan dan atau rekaman kegiatan yang telah diselesaikan atau dikerjakan oleh pihak manajemen rumah sakit. Pelayanan kesehatan yang baik dan bermutu kepada masyarakat, rumah sakit memerlukan dukungan&#8230; ngan input yang bermutu juga sehingga akan menghasilkan output yang berkualitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi gambaran penerapan SIMRS pada bagian pelaporan internal dengan menggunakan pendekatan model 5M di Rumah Sakit X. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, dengan menggunakan unsur man, money, material, machine, methode melalui analisis kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini untuk unsur man sudah sesuai, untuk unsur money sudah terdapat anggaran operasional tetapi belum terlaksana untuk anggaran pelatihan, untuk unsur materials ketersediaan bahan-bahan sudah cukup memadai, unsur machine sudah terdapat mesin pendukung dalam pengelolaan, dan untuk unsur  methode terdapat SOP untuk kegiatan pelaporan, tetapi belum terdapat SOP khusus untuk kegiatan pelaporan internal.   Kata kunci: 5M, Pelaporan, Pelaporan internal, SIMRS

INDONESIAN CULTURE IN COMIC MEDIA AS A LEARNING MODEL FOR BAHASA INDONESIA BAGI PENUTUR ASING (BIPA)

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the use of comic media in learning Indonesian for Foreign Speakers (BIPA). One of the main challenges in BIPA learning is the low motivation of participants. This lack of motivation is often caused&#8230; used by the monotonous classroom atmosphere. To increase learning motivation, an interesting and innovative approach is needed, especially for teenage and early adult participants. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. The research subjects were beginner level participants of the Indonesian for Foreign Speakers Program (BIPA) at Prima University Medan, while the research object was the use of comic media in BIPA learning. The results showed that comic media can be used effectively to support BIPA learning objectives. Comics are able to facilitate the learning of listening, speaking, reading, and grammar, while creating a more pleasant classroom atmosphere. In addition to entertaining and attracting participants’ interest, comics also have various other benefits in BIPA learning. It is recommended for practitioners to continue to develop and integrate comic media into BIPA learning materials.

EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH ON LITERACY FOR TPQ BUSTANUL ULUM SEJATI STUDENTS IN THE MAPAK BELATUNG AREA MATARAM

Abstract: The unrestricted use of mobile phones by elementary school children to access social media and online games can be disastrous for them. This greatly affects their literacy skills, leading to suboptimal development of the&#8230; four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. This community service program aims to raise awareness and motivate the students of TPQ Bustanul Ulum Sejati to improve their literacy skills. The method used in this community service activity was lectures and discussions. The activity received a positive response from the TPQ Bustanul Ulum Sejati students and their parents. The program was conducted through material presentations and discussions using a relaxed conversational approach, making the activity feel less formal and more comfortable. This atmosphere allowed all the students to express their opinions without hesitation. This activity left a positive impression on the participants about the importance of literacy and avoiding excessive use of mobile phones to access social media and online games.

AN ANALYSIS MORAL VALUE IN SONG LYRICS "PRICE TAG" BY JESSIE

Abstract: This study examines the moral values in the song lyrics of Price Tag by Jessie J. . The song critiques the growing focus on materialism and emphasizes the importance of love, happiness, and authenticity in life. The research&#8230; arch aims to identify and analyze the moral messages conveyed through the song, using a qualitative approach to explore the lyrics and categorize the moral themes. The analysis reveals that the song advocates for a shift in societal focus—from the pursuit of wealth and material possessions to prioritizing emotional well-being and human connection. The moral values identified in the lyrics include love and affection, bravery, sympathy, and honesty. The findings suggest that the song calls for a shift in focus—from valuing money and possessions to prioritizing emotional well-being, human relationships, and genuine happiness. The most frequent moral value expressed in the song is love and affection, with the lyrics urging listeners to "pay with love" and to prioritize emotional connections over material wealth. In conclusion, Price Tag offers a critique of materialism while encouraging listeners to value love and unity. The study highlights the power of music as a tool for spreading moral messages and inspiring positive change in society, especially in an era where consumerism often overshadows more meaningful pursuits.  

PENGGUNAAN TEKNOLOGI DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA DI SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to find out how effective the use of technology-based learning media is in improving students' language skills in primary schools. Literature study was used as the methodology, and descriptive&#8230; e research was used by using library research projects such as Google Scholar to obtain comprehensive data for online or digital journals. In Indonesian language learning, technology has become a significant issue. The results show that technology in education is very important because it allows students to gain knowledge about learning materials, work efficiently, and understand complex materials so that they can overcome challenges. Teachers should plan and optimisestrategically to improve student outcomes.

PELATIHAN BUSINESS ENGLISH BAGI SISWA SMK JAYAWISATA 1 JAKARTA PUSAT

Abstract: Learning English is fundamental and speaking English is a requirement that appears in every job vacancy. In vocational school vocational students' learning, every student should be able to understand English, especially&#8230; if they take a tourism or hospitality vocation.  Therefore, UHAMKA and Jayabaya University lecturers held community service activities (PKM) at SMK Jayawisata 1 Central Jakarta with the aim of identifying English language needs for vocational school students. This PKM is held in the form of providing materials and training in English role studies, with the aim of increasing knowledge in business management, e-commerce and career planning. The method used in this study is through a literature study which collects several previous studies to answer the role of English. Use of English and the influence of using English for the purpose of applying knowledge regarding business management, e-commerce and career planning. It is hoped that all SMK Jayawisata 1 students who have taken part in training in the lecturer's role, namely PKM (Community Service), can broaden their knowledge of Business English. Based on the results of this literature study, it can be concluded that English plays an important role as a communication tool for business purposes.
