CORRELATION BETWEEN NEUTROPHIL LYMPHOCYTE RATIO AND LIPID PROFILE IN ADULT PATIENT WITH OBESITY IN PRODIA TANGERANG CLINICAL LABORATORY

Sari, Lia Dwi, Anak Agung Ayu Eka Cahyani, Ika Setya Purwanti
Abstract: Obesity is a condition of abnormal or excessive fat accumulation which can be a risk factor for dyslipidemia. Uncontrolled dyslipidemia can directly cause endothelial dysfunction by increasing the production of free radicals,… cals, causing Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) oxidation and stimulating the release of inflammatory factors that can cause inflammation. Neutrophils and macrophages are the first leucocytes to appear in the early response to inflammation, so the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio can be useful for evaluating the prognosis of inflammation as an early detector and as a marker of inflammation that can be detected simply and efficiently. This study aims to determine the correlation between Neutrophil-Lymphocyte Ratio (NLR) and Lipid Profile in adult patients with obesity in Prodia Tangerang Clinical laboratory. This study is an analytical study with a cross-sectional approach and used purposive sampling technique. The research sample data was taken from secondary data from patient medical records. The p-value obtained using Rank Spearman correlation from the comparation of neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio with each lipid profile value is total cholesterol (p=0.003), LDL cholesterol (p=0.013), High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol (p=0.375) and tryglicerides (p=0.316). This study found a relationship between the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio with total cholesterol dan LDL cholesterol, but there was no relationship between the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio with HDL cholesterol and tryglicerides in obese adult patient in Prodia Tangerang Clinical Laboratory.

Priyandari, Damar Ajeng, Yanti, Ni Luh Gede Puspita, Muliawati, Ni Kadek
Abstract: Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease caused by the Dengue virus transmitted to humans through the bite of the Aedes aegypti and Aedes albocpitus mosquitoes. One of the laboratory tests that can help diagnose Dengue… e fever includes Dengue IgM and IgG Antigens and hematology tests. The number of lymphocytes plays a role in the body's immune system and is one of the parameters found in hematology tests. This study aims to determine the relationship between Dengue IgM and IgG antibodies and the number of lymphocytes in patients suspected of having Dengue fever at the Prodia Sunter Clinical Laboratory for the period 2021-2024. The research method is observational with cross-sectional using secondary data of 104 samples. Data analysis uses Spearman rank. The results of the study showed that most of the suspected Dengue fever patients were male, 56 patients (53.8%) with the highest age at 19-59 years as many as 53 patients (51.0%) and the duration of fever was mostly experienced on the 3rd day of fever 29 patients (27.9%). The results of the Dengue antigen IgM examination in suspected Dengue fever patients were negative for 89 patients (85.6%) and the Dengue antigen IgG was negative for 64 patients (61.5%). The number of lymphocytes was within normal limits for 44 patients (42.3%). The results of the IgM correlation test obtained p = 0.005 with r 0.271, so the hypothesis was accepted, it can be concluded that there is a weak correlation between Dengue IgM antibodies and the number of lymphocytes and the results of the IgG correlation test obtained p = 0.043 with r 0.198, so the hypothesis was accepted, it can be concluded that there is a weak correlation between Dengue IgG antibodies and the number of lymphocytes in suspected Dengue fever patients.

ACTIVE JUDGES IN ADVERSARIAL COMMON LAW AND THEIR RELEVANCE TO INDONESIA’S HYBRID CRIMINAL PROCEDURE

Setyawan , Vincentius Patria, Wisnubroto , Aloysius
Abstract: This research examines the relevance of adopting the concept of active judges within adversarial common law traditions to Indonesia’s hybrid criminal procedure. The primary objective is to explore whether the active judge… dge model can strengthen Indonesia’s criminal justice reform without undermining its civil law foundation. This study employs a normative juridical method with a comparative approach, analyzing doctrinal sources, statutory law, and scholarly debates from both civil law and common law perspectives. The findings suggest that while the adversarial system traditionally restricts judges to a passive role, the notion of an active judge has emerged to prevent procedural abuses and ensure substantive justice. For Indonesia, integrating aspects of the active judge model may contribute to enhancing transparency, protecting defendants’ rights, and harmonizing procedural justice with societal expectations. Nevertheless, challenges remain, particularly concerning judicial independence, consistency of application, and potential conflicts with established inquisitorial practices. This study concludes that the adoption of active judge principles must be carefully contextualized, reinforcing Indonesia’s hybrid system rather than replacing its legal traditions.

STRENGTHENING ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILL: ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING PROGRAMME BASED ON CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING FOR THE YOUNG GENERATION OF TEGAL ISLAND

Andriyaningsih, Ayu, MS, Vike Aprilianin, Sutiyono, Sutiyono
Abstract: This community service program aimed to enhance the English language skills of elementary school students on Tegal Island, Lampung Province, through the implementation of a Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach.… . Limited English proficiency among local children has long hindered effective communication with foreign visitors and restricted opportunities for community-based tourism development. To address this challenge, the program incorporated basic English vocabulary related to the beach environment into interactive activities, such as songs, games, visual aids, and direct exploration of local surroundings. These methods were designed to provide authentic, engaging, and memorable language learning experiences tailored to the learners’ environment. A pre-test and post-test design was employed to evaluate the program’s effectiveness. The results demonstrated a substantial improvement in students’ vocabulary mastery, with mean scores rising from 61.36 on the pre-test to 89.73 on the post-test. Statistical analysis using a paired sample t-test revealed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), confirming that CTL significantly enhanced vocabulary acquisition. The normalized gain (N-Gain) indicated a high level of progress among participants, showing consistent improvement across all learners. Beyond cognitive gains, qualitative observations indicated that students exhibited greater confidence, motivation, and environmental awareness as they linked English lessons to familiar contexts. This program illustrates that CTL offers a practical, low-cost, and highly effective strategy for empowering youth in remote island communities. By contextualizing English instruction in real-life settings, CTL not only fosters academic achievement but also supports community engagement, cultural pride, and sustainable human resource development in rural tourism areas.

FIRM ETHICALITY, GREEN MARKETING, AND BRAND LOYALTY: MODERATING EFFECTS OF BRAND REPUTATION, ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERN, AND SOCIAL INFLUENCE

Pradana, Mahir, Bryant , De Roger Baggio, Rubiyanti , Nurafni
Abstract: This study examines the influence of firm ethicality, green marketing, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) on brand loyalty toward Tokopedia, it also explores the moderating roles of brand reputation, environmental… concern, and social influence. A survey of 56 Tokopedia users was analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). Results show that firm ethicality significantly and positively influenced brand loyalty. In contrast, green marketing and CSR did not show significant effects, nor did any of the hypothesized moderating relationships. Interestingly, social influence, although not proposed as a direct predicator, demonstrated a significant direct effect on brand loyalty, highlighting the roles of normative and informational influence in e-commerce. Assessment of the measurement model confirmed satisfactory construct reliability, convergent validity, and discriminant validity. The structural model exhibited predictive relevance. The findings indicate that corporate ethics and social influence are key factors in fostering loyalty within Indonesia’s digital marketplace.

LEGAL CERTAINTY OF FINANCING OF MERAH PUTIH VILLAGE COOPERATIVES: INSTITUTIONAL ANALYSIS BETWEEN THE PRINCIPLE OF COOPERATIVE INDEPENDENCE AND STATE INTERVENTION

Hasanudin, Adnan, Winanti , Atik, Jilena Meliala, Aurora
Abstract: This study examines the legal certainty of financing for Indonesia's Desa Merah Putih Cooperative (KDMP) initiative, analyzing the institutional tension between cooperative independence and state intervention. Rooted in… the constitutional mandate for cooperatives as a cornerstone of the Indonesian economy, the KDMP program aims to establish 80,000 village-level cooperatives through state-facilitated credit lines and technical assistance. However, this top-down model raises concerns about undermining cooperative autonomy enshrined in Law No. 25/1992 and the principle of subsidiarity. Employing a normative juridical research design, this study draws on secondary data from legal literature and primary legal materials to systematically examine relevant norms and doctrines. Findings reveal a tenuous alignment between state financing mechanisms and cooperative autonomy, primarily due to the proposed reliance on state-owned bank credit lines rather than direct state budget grants, leading to legal ambiguity regarding accountability and oversight. The potential for mass loan defaults and the contentious use of Village Funds as collateral further complicate legal certainty and risk hidden liabilities. Comparative insights from India's Amul cooperative and the Philippines' barangay cooperatives illustrate successful models where government acts as a facilitator without impinging on cooperative self-governance or member control. This study advocates for a recalibrated regulatory approach featuring transparent oversight, proportional supervision, and participatory decision-making to reconcile developmental imperatives with cooperative principles, ultimately enhancing legal certainty and ensuring that state-supported cooperatives remain genuinely member-driven enterprises.

Lu'luil Maknun, Fitriyana, Nia
Abstract: The purpose of this study is to determine the significance level of the effect of using hand puppet media on the speaking skills of second-grade students at MI As-Syafi’iyah 10 Gunung Sindur. This research employed a quasi-experimental… uasi-experimental method with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used was non-random purposive sampling, with two classes selected as samples, each consisting of 32 students. The data collection technique used in this study was an oral test instrument, designed using a non-equivalent control group design. The results showed that the average score of the experimental class was 45.31 in the pre-test and 67.81 in the post-test. Meanwhile, the control class scored an average of 44.84 in the pre-test and 46.56 in the post-test. The data were tested for normality and found to be normally distributed. The homogeneity test results showed a significance value of 0.308 > 0.05, indicating that the data are homogeneous or have the same variance. The findings revealed that the use of hand puppet media had a significant effect on students' speaking skills. The hypothesis testing using a Paired Sample T-Test showed a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that the result is statistically significant. Therefore, the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) is accepted, meaning there is a significant difference in students’ speaking skills before and after being taught using hand puppet media.

THE LEGAL POLITICS OF THE FORMATION OF JOB CREATION LAW WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF RESPONSIVE LAWS

Febriana, Lega Rahayu, Setiadi , Wicipto, Ahsin Thohari, Ahmad
Abstract: The introduction of the omnibus methodology to Indonesian lawmaking through the Job Creation Law has generated intense scholarly debate over the balance between regulatory efficiency and democratic legitimacy. Drawing on… Nonet and Selznick’s responsive law theory, this study examines the legal politics underpinning the formation of Law No. 11 of 2020, PERPPU No. 2 of 2022, and Law No. 6 of 2023 within Indonesia’s civil‐law framework. Using normative legal research methods including statutory interpretation, constitutional doctrinal analysis, and comparative legal study this article traces the procedural trajectory from initial draft to successive judicial reviews (Decision Nos. 91/PUU-XVIII/2020 and 168/PUU-XXI/2023). The findings reveal systemic procedural deficiencies: exclusion of affected stakeholders, lack of meaningful public participation, and executive reliance on emergency powers instead of mandated legislative revision. The Constitutional Court’s interventions have served as corrective “strange attractors,” introducing “meaningful participation” requirements (right to be heard, right to be considered, and right to explanation) and compelling the government to adopt legislative reforms. However, persistent executive resistance underscores enduring tensions between efficiency‐oriented omnibus reforms and procedural legitimacy. The study concludes that forthcoming legislative efforts particularly the mandated separate Employment Law will determine whether Indonesia’s legal system advances toward genuinely responsive law or reverts to repressive practices. These insights hold broader significance for comparative constitutionalism and the global discourse on omnibus legislation in developing democracies.

ACCURACY OF TIMING IN TSH SAMPLE COLLECTION FOR CONGENITAL HYPOTHYROIDISM SCREENING AT PRIMA MEDIKA GENERAL HOSPITAL DENPASAR

Gusti Ayu Kristalia Mustika Dewi, Prasetya, Didik, Diah Prihatiningsih
Abstract: Congenital hypothyroidism (CH) is an endocrine disorder that can cause developmental delays if not detected and treated early. Congenital Hypothyroidism Screening (CHS) aims to detect abnormal levels of Thyroid Stimulating… ng Hormone (TSH) in newborns before clinical symptoms appear. The timing of blood sample collection is a critical factor because TSH levels physiologically surge within the first 24 hours of life. This study aims to determine the accuracy of TSH sampling time in CH screening at Prima Medika General Hospital, Denpasar. A descriptive analytical method was used with a total sampling technique involving 105 neonates who underwent CHS from October to December 2024. Secondary data were obtained from laboratory request forms and the Laboratory Information System (LIS). Results showed that 92.4% of samples were collected on the second day of life, which aligns with the ideal window of 48–72 hours, and only 1.9% of neonates had elevated TSH levels. The study concludes that most sample collections met the recommended timing, contributing to valid results and effective CHS implementation. Timely sampling plays a vital role in early CH detection and reflects the overall quality of neonatal laboratory services.

DIFFERENCES IN HEMATOCRIT LEVELS AND PLATELET COUNTS ON THE 4th To 6th DAY OF FEVER IN DENGUE HEMORRHAGIC FEVER PATIENTS

Ni Luh Hepy Karniawan, Moh.Fairuz Abadi, A.A.Ayu Eka Cahyani
Abstract: Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an endemic disease in Indonesia caused by the dengue virus and transmitted through the bites of Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquitoes. The risk of serious complications primarily… arises during the critical phase, typically between the 4th and 6th days of fever, during which plasma leakage may occur, leading to shock and severe bleeding. Hematocrit levels and platelet counts are important parameters in the diagnosis and monitoring of DHF patients. This study aimed to determine the differences in hematocrit levels and platelet counts during days 4 to 6 of fever in DHF patients at Prima Medika Hospital Denpasar, in February 2025. This research employed a descriptive quantitative design with purposive sampling, involving 35 patients who met the inclusion criteria. The results showed a decrease in hematocrit levels with averages of 42.8%, 42%, and 41.2%, and platelet counts with averages of 87 x 10³/µL, 59 x 10³/µL, and 47 x 10³/µL from day 4 to day 6 of fever. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, the Friedman non-parametric test for hematocrit levels, and the Repeated Measures ANOVA parametric test for platelet counts. Statistical analysis showed a p-value of 0.002 for hematocrit levels and 0.000 for platelet counts. The conclusion of this study is that there are significant differences in hematocrit levels and platelet counts between days 4 to 6 of fever in DHF patients.
