REFRAMING PHILANTHROPY: STAKEHOLDER COLLABORATION AND THE ECOLOGY OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Eko Muliansyah, Muh Gani Irwansyah
Abstract: Philanthropy has increasingly evolved from a form of charitable assistance into a strategic actor within sustainable development processes. However, much of the existing practice and literature still treats philanthropy… as an isolated or supplementary intervention, limiting its potential to generate systemic and long-term impact. This article aims to critically examine the role of philanthropic institutions within a broader ecosystem of sustainable development, emphasizing the importance of multi-stakeholder collaboration involving government, the private sector, academia, and local communities. Using a qualitative literature review with a conceptual and analytical orientation, this study synthesizes scholarly works on philanthropy, collaborative governance, corporate social responsibility, Islamic philanthropy, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a particular focus on Indonesia and the Global South. The analysis demonstrates that philanthropic contributions become more effective and sustainable when embedded within an integrated development ecology, rather than operating through fragmented and project-based approaches. The findings highlight philanthropy’s strategic roles as a catalyst for social innovation, a bridge between sectors, and a facilitator of long-term social investment. Islamic philanthropic instruments such as zakat and productive waqf further illustrate how value-based financial mechanisms can support inclusive development when professionally managed and aligned with national and global development agendas. This study contributes conceptually by reframing philanthropy as a system-level change agent within a sustainable development ecology, offering an integrative lens for understanding collaboration, governance, and impact. The article concludes that sustainable development is best achieved not through isolated institutional efforts, but through coordinated, trust-based ecosystems in which philanthropy plays a transformative and connective role.

Kristin Nurhayati, Dadang Munandar
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effect of job insecurity and job satisfaction on the turnover intention of contract employees at PT Adetex Banjaran. Employment conditions in the textile industry indicate a relatively high… level of job uncertainty, particularly for contract employees who experience changes in work schedules, income fluctuations, and limited guarantees of job continuity. These conditions have the potential to reduce job satisfaction and encourage employees’ intention to leave the company. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. The research population consists of all contract employees at PT Adetex Banjaran, with the sample determined using a proportional sampling technique. Data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires developed based on indicators of job insecurity, job satisfaction, and turnover intention. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques with the assistance of SPSS software, including validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, correlation analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination, and partial and simultaneous hypothesis testing. The results indicate that job insecurity has a positive and significant effect on turnover intention, meaning that the higher the level of job insecurity perceived by employees, the greater their tendency to leave the company. In addition, job satisfaction has a negative and significant effect on turnover intention, indicating that higher job satisfaction leads to a lower intention to leave the organization. Simultaneously, job insecurity and job satisfaction have a significant effect on the turnover intention of contract employees at PT Adetex Banjaran. These findings highlight the importance of human resource management practices that focus on enhancing job security and job satisfaction in order to reduce turnover intention. This study is expected to serve as a consideration for company management in formulating more stable, fair, and sustainable employment policies, as well as a reference for future research in the field of human resource management.

THE ROLE OF CONSUMERS IN THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY: A LITERATURE REVIEW ON CONSUMER PROTECTION REGULATIONS AND SUSTAINABILITY

Naufal Shofwan
Abstract: In facing global sustainability challenges, consumers play a strategic role in shaping the direction of the circular economy. This article presents a literature review on the relationship between consumer protection and… the transition toward a sustainable consumption model. The main focus is directed at three key issues: the right to environmental information, the right to repair, and regulatory challenges related to greenwashing practices. By using a narrative literature review approach, this article examines various academic and policy sources to evaluate the extent to which consumer protection has been integrated into circular economy strategies. The findings show that although positive initiatives have been taken, regulatory implementation remains weak and often fails to provide effective protection mechanisms for consumers. The policy implications proposed include strengthening standards for environmental claims, expanding the right to repair across sectors, and increasing sustainability literacy at the consumer level. This article aims to enrich academic discourse and serve as a foundation for consumer-based policy development in support of the circular economy agenda.

CRIMINAL RESPONSIBILITY OF CHILDREN IN BRAWLS THAT RESULTED IN DEATH IN REVIEW OF LAW NUMBER 35 OF 2014 (STUDY OF DECISION PN TANJUNG KARANG NUMBER 11/PID.SUS-ANAK/2025/PN TJK)

Benny Karya Limantara, Carissa Novira Putri
Abstract: Student brawls involving children remain a recurring social phenomenon in Indonesia and frequently result in serious criminal offenses, including those causing death. Children as perpetrators of criminal acts occupy a special… ecial position within the criminal justice system; therefore, their criminal liability cannot be equated with that of adults. This study aims to analyze the criminal liability of children involved in brawls resulting in death and to examine the application of legal provisions in the Decision of the Tanjung Karang District Court based on the Child Protection Act and the Juvenile Criminal Justice System. The research employs normative juridical and empirical juridical approaches through the study of statutory regulations, analysis of court decisions, and interviews with law enforcement officers. The data were analyzed qualitatively to describe the implementation of juvenile criminal law. The findings indicate that child offenders may still be held criminally liable while observing the principle of the best interest of the child. Judges consider both juridical and non-juridical aspects, including the child’s role in the offense, age, psychological condition, and social inquiry reports, resulting in sanctions that emphasize rehabilitation rather than retribution. This study concludes that the application of juvenile criminal law in cases of brawls resulting in death is in accordance with prevailing legal provisions; however, improvements in the quality of case handling by law enforcement agencies are still necessary to ensure balanced and sustainable child protection and justice for victims.

Rindi Tri Utami, Dadang Munandar
Abstract: The coffee shop industry in Indonesia continues to grow alongside changes in consumer lifestyle, particularly in tourism areas such as Pangalengan, Bandung Regency. Sales records from November 2024 to October 2025 indicate that monthly revenue ranged from IDR 6,084,522 in March 2025 to IDR 10,726,758 in July 2025. This condition suggests that sales performance has not been stable and highlights the need to evaluate marketing strategies, especially pricing and promotion. This study aims to examine the effect of price and promotion on sales growth at The East Coffee Pangalengan. A quantitative approach with descriptive and verification methods was applied. The sample consisted of 72 respondents, selected using incidental sampling. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS, including validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, t-tests, F-tests, and coefficient of determination analysis. The descriptive results show that Price (76%), Promotion (80%), and Sales Growth (74%) are perceived positively and categorized as strong. Verification analysis reveals that price has a positive and significant effect on sales growth (t = 8.017; Sig. = 0.000; β = 0.856), while promotion has a significant but negative effect (t = −2.346; Sig. = 0.022; β = −0.329). Simultaneously, price and promotion significantly influence sales growth (F = 90.421; Sig. = 0.000), with the model explaining 72.4% of the variance in sales growth (R² = 0.724). These findings indicate that sales growth at The East Coffee is more strongly driven by appropriate pricing perceptions, while promotional strategies require improvement to achieve more consistent and sustainable sales performance.

Andre Budi, Lady Evelyn Aritonang, Hendrianto
Abstract: Breast cancer remained the most frequently diagnosed cancer among women and continued to contribute substantially to morbidity and mortality, particularly in developing countries. In Indonesia, most breast cancer cases were… ere detected at an advanced stage, indicating inadequate knowledge and low awareness of early detection. This study aimed to identify factors influencing women’s knowledge of breast cancer through a systematic literature review. A literature review was conducted using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews. Ten national and international research articles published between 2021 and 2025 were analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach supported by simple descriptive statistics through vote counting. The results showed that women’s knowledge of breast cancer was influenced by internal and external factors. Internal factors included education level, age, attitudes and awareness, and psychological factors. External factors comprised access to information and educational media, the role of health professionals, educational interventions, socioeconomic status, cultural norms, and family support. Education level and access to information were identified as the most dominant factors based on their frequency across the reviewed studies. It was concluded that women’s knowledge of breast cancer was shaped by the interaction between individual characteristics and social environments. Comprehensive and sustainable health education strategies were therefore required to improve breast cancer awareness and support early detection practices.
