OVERVIEW OF PREPAREDNESS ATTITUDES IN FIRE DISASTER MANAGEMENT AMONG CORRECTIONAL OFFICERS AT POHUWATO CORRECTIONAL FACILITY

Abstract: Fire incidents continue to be a major concern. Data from the International Association of Fire and Rescue Services (CTIF) in 2022, recorded > 1.3 million fire incidents worldwide each year, causing more than 15,000 deaths… s and economic losses. Fire disasters are one of the serious threats in various environments, including Correctional Institutions (Lapas). Prisons have a high potential risk of fire due to various factors, such as the use of unsafe electrical equipment, overcrowding, lack of adequate fire fighting facilities and riots that lead to fires. The purpose of the study was to determine the picture of the attitude of preparedness related to fire disaster management among correctional officers at Pohuwato Prison. The type of quantitative descriptive research , the population of all Correctional Officers at Pohuwato Prison recorded in 2024 was 71 people. Sampling used the Non-Probability Sampling method with the Purposive Sampling technique . The technique was chosen based on certain considerations according to the research criteria. A sample of 59 respondents was obtained. The single variable analyzed was related to the attitude of preparedness. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using reliability and normality tests . The results of the study showed a picture of the attitude of preparedness of correctional officers with a sufficient category of 56 respondents (94.9%). It was concluded that the attitude of preparedness of correctional officers was still sufficient and there was a need for counseling or training related to fire disaster management at Pohuwato Prison.

LIBRARY LITERACY MANAGEMENT IN MOTIVATING STUDENTS' INTEREST IN READING AT DRIVING SCHOOLS IN STATE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOLS BARITO KUALA

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to find out  the literacy management of school libraries, supporting and inhibiting factors, and strategies that can be applied by the library in an effort to motivate students' interest in reading… reading at SMPN 3 Alalak and SMPN 4 Alalak as driving schools.The theory used in this study is the theory according to George R Terry. The methodology of this research uses a qualitative approach and this type of research uses qualitative descriptive research. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that library management in SMPN 3 Alalak and SMPN 4 Alalak in motivating students' interest in reading includes the function of Planning is the development of collections and reference services. The Organizing Function is the division of library work programs and reference services. The function of Direction/implementation is the development of collections. The supervisory function is collaboration and partnership. Supporting and inhibiting factors to motivate students' interest in reading at SMPN 3 Alalak and SMPN 4 Alalak as driving schools include technological advancements, collection of reading materials, human resources, facilities and infrastructure. Strategies that can be applied by the library in motivating students' interest in reading as a driving school are increasing collection materials, providing adequate facilities and infrastructure, providing good services, holding additional programs such as conducting regular and continuous promotions. It can be concluded that at the end of the study, data was obtained for student visits to the SMPN 3 Alalak library reaching 27%, which is not yet classified as high student visits, while for SMPN 4 Alalak reaching 65%, it is classified as high student visits.

ANALYSIS OF PROFESSIONAL ETHICS VIOLATIONS IN NOTARY PRACTICE CASE STUDY IN KISARAN CITY

Many factors can trigger this violation, such as a lack of understanding of the code of ethics, economic pressure, and conflicts of interest. The impact of these violations not only harms the image of the notary profession, but also has the potential to reduce public trust in legal institutions as a whole.This research adopts a normative-juridical method, which involves literature study and analysis of secondary data. Data that includes secondary sources such as statutory regulations, scientific journals, research results, and so on is an important reference in understanding the authority of Article 67 paragraph (1) of the Law on the Position of Notaries (UUJN) which states that supervision of notaries is carried out by the Minister. In carrying out this supervision, the Minister formed a Notary Supervisory Council which is tasked with ensuring notary compliance with applicable regulations. Supervising notaries is a Supervisory Council created by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. This institution consists of the Regional Supervisory Council (MPD), Regional Supervisory Council (MPW), and Central Supervisory Council (MPP).According to I Gede A.B. Wiranata, there are eight factors that can influence the decline in morality in the legal profession. These factors include profession, business orientation in carrying out the profession, lack of social awareness and care, stagnation in the justice system, influence of position, consumer lifestyle, weak faith, and the influence of family characteristics. If a notary is involved in violations such as falsifying client data, making deeds that favor one party, or providing false information to clients, this can threaten his career. The client has the right to report the action to the Honorary Council to provide sanctions to the notary in accordance with the applicable code of ethics. Apart from that, clients can also report these actions to the police, which could potentially result in criminal legal consequences for the notary concerned. Therefore, notaries are obliged to carry out their duties based on a professional code of ethics.In general, the position of a notary is regulated in Law Number 30 of 2004 concerning the Position of Notaries, which has been updated through Law Number 2 of 2014, and based on the guidelines contained in the Notary Code of Ethics prepared by the Indonesian Notary Association (INI) in 2005 and updated in 2015.  

ETHICS IN MEDIATION: THE ROLE OF ADVOCATES IN DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Abstract: Mediation is an alternative method of dispute resolution that is increasingly being used in the modern legal system. This process prioritizes dialogue between the disputing parties to reach an agreement without resorting… to litigation. In mediation, ethics plays an important role in maintaining fairness, confidentiality and professionalism, both by the mediator and by the advocates involved. Advocates have a strategic role in mediation, namely as legal advisors who provide direction to their clients, and ensure that the mediation process runs in accordance with existing ethical principles. Advocates also function to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of information obtained during mediation, as well as ensuring that clients are not pressured into accepting detrimental agreements. In this paper, we discuss the importance of ethics in mediation, the challenges faced, and the vital role of advocates in ensuring fair and effective dispute resolution. By paying attention to ethics in mediation, it is hoped that the dispute resolution process can take place more transparently, efficiently and fairly for all parties involved.

CHALLENGES IN RECORDING AND REPORTING ASSETS

Abstract: MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) play a very important role in the Indonesian economy, especially in creating jobs and empowering communities. However, MSMEs often face significant challenges in recording and… reporting their financial assets. This study aims to identify the main challenges faced by MSMEs in recording and reporting assets, analyze the factors that cause a lack of accuracy in asset recording, and evaluate the effect of limited managerial knowledge and access to technology on the quality of financial reports. The research method used is a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews with MSME owners/managers and field observations. The results of the study indicate that lack of accounting knowledge, limited human resources, and minimal technological support are the main factors that hinder accurate asset recording. In addition, inaccuracies in financial reports can have a negative impact on the ability of MSMEs to obtain funding from financial institutions or investors. Therefore, efforts are needed to increase capacity through management training and the use of accounting technology to improve the transparency and accuracy of MSME financial reports.

This study aims to analyze how Pancasila education subject teachers prepare and implement differentiated learning at the UPT SPF SMP Negeri 3 Makassar. The number of informants in this study was 5 people consisting of 3 key informants and 2 additional informants. The data collection technique was by conducting observations, interviews and documentation. This research is a descriptive Qualitative study. The results of this study indicate that the way Pancasila education teachers prepare differentiated learning is: 1.1.) Making questions, compiling or preparing initial assessment instruments; 1.2.) Carrying out and analyzing initial assessments; and 1.3.) Making teaching modules. 2) The process of implementing differentiated learning is carried out by Pancasila education teachers, namely: 2.1.) Mapping or forming groups of students based on the results of the initial assessment; and 2.1.) Carrying out the differentiated learning process in terms of content, process, and product.

The research method used is field study. According to the study's findings, the majority of the Bonai people, who are predominantly from the Bonai Malay ethnic group, tend to support two economic systems: agriculture and fisheries. The problems faced by the community in Bonai include market access related to a lack of insight, lack of knowledge and skills, and so on. Although the Bonai Malay community is active in agricultural and fishing activities, they still have the desire to sell and exchange goods with people outside the Bonai region.
