INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGN OF RESTRICTED SECURITY AREA FENCING TO ENHANCE AIRPORT SECURITY

Ahmad Ardi Zulkarnain, Achmad Muhyidin Arifai, Deni Priansyah
Abstract: This study aims to develop a technically compliant and economically feasible design for a Restricted Security Area (RSA) perimeter fence surrounding Substation 7, the Chiller facility, and the Ground Water Tank (GWT) at… Kertajati International Airport. These facilities constitute critical operational infrastructure supporting electricity distribution, terminal cooling systems, and water supply, including fire suppression reserves. Field observations identified the absence of a regulation-compliant perimeter protection system, exposing the utility cluster to unauthorized access and operational risk. The research employed a quantitative descriptive–analytical approach integrating field measurement, engineering design modeling, volume computation, and cost estimation based on the 2024 Majalengka Regional Standard Unit Price. Technical evaluation referred to national aviation security regulations and ICAO Annex 17 principles. A BRC (British Reinforced Concrete) fence system with a total height of 3.20 meters (2.40 m fence body and 0.80 m concertina wire) was proposed. The structural configuration includes reinforced concrete isolated footings, tie beams (sloof), and a bottom plinth beam to ensure lateral stability and anti-climb resistance. The total perimeter length of 313.74 meters ensures complete enclosure of the critical facilities. The estimated total project cost amounts to IDR 509,553,000.00, including VAT. The results demonstrate that the proposed design is structurally reliable, regulation-compliant, and economically justified within a risk mitigation framework. The study contributes a replicable engineering and financial planning model for strengthening airport critical infrastructure protection and enhancing long-term operational resilience.

POSITIONING DIGITAL LITERACY IN MODERN PESANTREN: TEACHERS’ PERCEPTIONS AND EDUCATIONAL IMPLEMENTATION

Saing, Marnang, Panggabean, Hadi Saputra, Yunus, Anwar, Nafiza Fadia
Abstract: Digital literacy has become an essential competence in modern education; however, its implementation in pesantren presents distinctive dynamics, particularly when institutions restrict students’ access to digital devices… es while simultaneously encouraging teachers to master digital literacy. This study aims to examine how digital literacy is positioned, perceived, and implemented in the learning process at Pesantren Ar-Raudlatul Hasanah as one of Indonesia’s modern pesantren. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation of classroom practices and pesantren activities, and analysis of institutional documents. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify relevant patterns and key themes. The findings reveal that digital literacy in the pesantren is positioned primarily as a learning resource mediated by teachers rather than as an individual competence freely accessible to students. Teachers’ perceptions of digital literacy are reflective and selective, shaped by moral and scholarly responsibility, concern for students’ ethical conduct (adab), and apprehension regarding the negative impacts of the digital environment. In terms of implementation, digital literacy is applied in a limited and functional manner through teachers’ use of digital learning media, basic computer courses for students, cultural and extracurricular pesantren activities, and the digitalization of institutional administrative systems. This study concludes that the pesantren has developed a contextual and ethically grounded model of digital literacy, in which technology functions as a supportive educational tool without displacing core values, scholarly authority, or the primary goal of students’ character formation. These findings contribute empirical insights to the growing body of research on digital literacy within the context of Islamic education, particularly in modern pesantren

Diana Sari, M.Oktavianur
Abstract: This study analyzes the business model of a culinary microenterprise in Indonesia using the Business Model Canvas (BMC) framework proposed by Osterwalder and Pigneur (2010). A qualitative descriptive method was employed,… utilizing in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that although the enterprise has not formally implemented a structured business model, all nine elements of the BMC are naturally reflected in its operational practices. The customer segments consist of students, workers, and the wider community seeking affordable and fast-serving meals. The value propositions emphasize affordability, consistent flavors, and friendly customer service. Key resources include human resources, equipment, raw materials, and financial capital, while key partnerships involve employees, suppliers, and customers. Revenue streams arise from food and beverage sales and delivery services, supported by direct sales channels and simple promotional strategies. This study aligns with the literature highlighting the importance of BMC in strengthening MSME competitiveness (Alifiyah & Budiman, 2021; Dwisanto & Ifghaniyafi, 2024). The findings contribute to MSME development research by demonstrating the relevance of the BMC as a strategic tool for enhancing sustainability in small-scale culinary businesses.

A correlational study design with… th a cross-sectional approach was employed. The study involved 83 mothers with children aged 0–24 months, who were selected through random sampling. Data were obtained via structured interviews using a master table and subsequently analyzed using the chi-square test with a significance level set at 5%.   The findings indicated that the majority of mothers were between 20 and 35 years of age (81.9%), did not have paid employment (68.9%), and had attained secondary to higher levels of education (78.3%). More than half of the respondents reported providing exclusive breastfeeding (56.6%), and most children were classified as not stunted (75.9%). Bivariate analysis revealed a statistically significant association between maternal age and the occurrence of stunting (p = 0.039). However, no significant associations were identified between maternal occupation (p = 0.159), maternal educational attainment (p = 0.203), or exclusive breastfeeding history (p = 0.925) and stunting incidence.   The study concludes that stunting is influenced by multiple interrelated factors, indicating that its prevention cannot rely solely on exclusive breastfeeding. Comprehensive strategies involving sustained nutritional interventions, improved environmental sanitation, and appropriate caregiving practices are essential to effectively reduce stunting. Therefore, health professionals are encouraged to continue promoting exclusive breastfeeding while simultaneously addressing other contributing factors that support optimal child growth and development.
