Abstract: The ability to speak English is very important, especially for coastal communities such as those on Tegal Island, which has tourism potential. However, students at the Pesona Pulau Tegal Community Learning Center (PKBM)…
KBM) still have difficulty communicating, especially in English, because learning has tended to be conventional, focusing on memorization and grammar rather than practical communication. This creates a gap between the need for speaking skills and the teaching methods used, reinforcing students' fear and lack of confidence. Based on these issues, this Community Service activity aims to improve students' speaking skills through the application of the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) method integrated with the Playful English approach, which involves enjoyable learning through games, role-play, and creative activities. The methods used include guided speaking exercises, conversation simulations, and collaborative projects such as creating promotional posters for beach tourism in English. The results show a significant improvement in students' fluency, confidence, and active participation. Students began to speak more boldly, practice simple sentences, and express ideas spontaneously. The classroom atmosphere became livelier and more enjoyable with minimal psychological barriers such as fear of making mistakes. The implications of this activity are that the CLT approach combined with elements of joy can serve as an effective learning model in non-formal institutions. This method not only enhances language skills but also empowers students socially and emotionally, and can be replicated in similar communities.
Abstract:This study focuses on the internalization of moral values among students in facing the challenges of modernization, such as moral degradation and youth relations. This study uses qualitative methods. The data analysis techniques…
chniques in this study are data presentation, data discussion, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study identify four key aspects, namely: 1) Pre-learning planning for students is very important to determine the aspects of learning that will be implemented in the classroom, 2) The implementation of ISMUBA learning based on moral knowing and feeling will focus more on students' moral education, 3) Teachers' exemplary behavior as role models for students because good activities must be exemplified first, and 4) Learning projects/training students' skills through learning outside the classroom trains students to face daily challenges and fosters moral action. The main challenges in moral internalization include a lack of teacher role models, a lack of supervision of outside classroom activities, and external factors due to the influence of social media. Therefore, this study recommends cooperation among educators, namely schools, teachers, and families, to strengthen the effective moral internalization of students.
Abstract:The conflict surrounding the Rempang Eco-City National Strategic Project (PSN) on Rempang Island, Batam City, Riau Islands Province, is one of the most complex development policy crises of the past decade. This study analyzes…
lyzes the neglected environmental disaster mitigation dimensions in the acceleration of the Rempang Eco-City PSN from nine environmental perspectives, while evaluating whether the cancellation of this strategic development policy is a normatively and empirically justifiable choice. Using a qualitative research approach with a case study design, the study combines regulatory analysis based on legal documents including Laws, Government Regulations, Presidential Regulations, Ministerial Regulations, Environmental Impact Assessment (AMDAL) documents, and the Batam City Spatial Plan (RTRW) with field data from secondary sources compiled between 2023–2025. The findings reveal four main conclusions: (1) regulatory incoherence exists between Permenko Ekuin No. 7/2023 and Law No. 32/2009 on Environmental Protection and Management (PPLH) as well as Law No. 27/2007 on Coastal Zone Management; (2) the AMDAL process was carried out procedurally without participatory substance and was only initiated after the conflict erupted; (3) environmental impacts including threats of deforestation of protected forests, mangrove ecosystem degradation, and sea sand exploitation have not been adequately mitigated; and (4) resistance from approximately 80% of affected residents indicates a failure of the Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC) principle. The most recent development shows that through Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 12 of 2025, signed by President Prabowo Subianto on February 10, 2025, Rempang Eco-City is no longer listed among the 77 national strategic projects. This study recommends a comprehensive policy evaluation for Rempang Island development based on an independent AMDAL review, fulfillment of the rights of the Malay indigenous community, and a moratorium on all construction activities until legal certainty is established.
Abstract:This research comprehensively analyzes the glass industry development policy on Rempang Island, Batam City, Riau Islands Province, using an environmental risk mitigation approach. Employing a descriptive qualitative method…
od with a case study design and library research, this study examines five main dimensions: the chronology of the Rempang Island case, policy conflicts and controversies, the government regulatory framework, disaster risk analysis from nine environmental perspectives, and overall policy evaluation. The findings reveal that the Rempang Eco City project, designated as a National Strategic Project (PSN) through Permenko for Economic Affairs Number 7 of 2023, triggered prolonged agrarian conflict due to the absence of meaningful participation from indigenous Malay communities who have inhabited 16 ancient villages on the island since 1834. The project implementation was marked by forced evictions, repeated acts of violence, and non-transparent environmental impact assessment (AMDAL) processes. Disaster risk analysis from nine environmental perspectives covering air quality, water quality, coastal and marine ecosystems, sand mining and geological degradation, biodiversity, community health, social-cultural impacts, climate change vulnerability, and environmental governance consistently produces high-risk assessments, affirming that Rempang Island as a small island ecosystem lacks adequate carrying capacity for large-scale glass industrial development without permanent and irreversible ecological damage. Although Presidential Regulation Number 12 of 2025 de facto removed Rempang Eco City from the list of 77 National Strategic Projects under President Prabowo Subianto’s administration, the absence of an explicit revocation of Permenko Number 7 of 2023 creates ongoing legal ambiguity for affected communities. This research concludes that Indonesia urgently requires fundamental reform in its investment-based development policy paradigm, encompassing strengthened indigenous community participation mechanisms, elevation of AMDAL as a non-circumventable legal requirement prior to investment designation, and application of the ecological precautionary principle in small island development.
Abstract:The scientific background regarding the case of gratuity in Indonesia, in terms of juridical violations under Articles 12A, 12B, and 12C of Law Number 31 of 1999, in conjunction with Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the…
Eradication of Corruption Crimes, has caused poverty across various aspects of people’s lives. In addition, efforts to eradicate the crime of gratuity need to be supported by professional human resources and the enforcement of legal sanctions to foster personal awareness of anti-corruption. Based on the description above, the problem formulation is focused on: 1) Why is the integrity of state officials needed in eradicating graft cases? 2) What is the relationship between the philosophical study of the integrity of state officials in the case of gratuities? 3) What is the legal purpose of the integrity of state officials in the case of gratuities? The purpose of this study is to analyze the integrity of state officials in eradicating cases of gratuity. The approach method in this study is a normative juridical approach. The types of legal materials used are primary, secondary, and tertiary. The analysis technique used is qualitative descriptive. The results of the study are the eradication of gratuities in Indonesia, namely unlawful acts (corruption) by state officials/employees, receiving bribes (gratuities) from corporations or related parties, abuse of authority, and the practice of collusion with fictitious projects offering a 50%:50% profit split with contractors. This research novelty concludes that gratuities are unlawful acts by state officials who must be audited their salary financial data and even their family’s financial data through the Annual Personal Tax Payment Letter in accordance with the Regulation in Lieu of Law Number 1 of 2017 and reported to the Financial Audit Agency and the Financial Transaction Analysis Reporting Center in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 8 of 2010.
Abstract:Project-Based Learning (PjBL) has emerged as an innovative educational approach that bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. This study explores the impact of PjBL on students' learning experiences,…
xperiences, particularly in real-world engagement, collaborative teamwork, social interaction, and problem-solving skills. Findings from interviews with multiple informants highlight that PjBL provides students with new experiences beyond the traditional classroom setting, allowing them to engage directly with the school environment. Through collaborative projects, students develop interpersonal skills, enhance communication, and strengthen teamwork. Additionally, PjBL fosters adaptability and problem-solving abilities, equipping students with essential 21st-century competencies. These results align with the theoretical perspectives of Krajcik & Blumenfeld (2006) and Blumenfeld et al. (1991), which emphasize the significance of experiential learning and social interaction in deepening students’ understanding. Overall, PjBL offers a transformative learning experience by making education more meaningful, engaging, and relevant to real-world challenges
Abstract:This study specifically projects output and predicts economic growth, investment needs, and additional labor requirements sectorally, using labor and output data (GDP by business field at constant prices) for the period…
2001-2019. The analysis method used is labor projection based on the output approach, namely the Incremental Labor Output Ratio (ILOR). The results of the study show that (1) the increase in output in the agricultural sector does not have an impact on the expansion of labor absorption in the sector, but the conditions contrast with the increase in output in the public services, mining and trade sectors which will have an impact on the expansion of labor (2) Additional labor in the agricultural sector does not provide optimal results or additional labor in the agricultural sector and has an impact on decreasing output in the future (3) Additional labor in the mining sector will result in high output in the future.

m projects in Indonesia. The research method applied is a double linear regression analysis of a case study involving 67 information system projects that have been completed by various organizations and companies in Indonesia. Some of the major findings of this study cover critical aspects that have a significant impact on the performance of information system projects. Analysis of project information system requirements is identified as one of the key factors affecting the success of the project. Team capabilities, both in terms of technical skills and interpersonal coordination, are also important elements that correlate with project outcomes. The involvement of stakeholders throughout the project cycle has also proved to have a positive impact. It is understood that involving stakeholders actively can enhance a better understanding of user needs and minimize the risk of change of requirements in the middle of the way. By gaining in-depth insight into these key factors, this research makes valuable contributions to the planning, development, and implementation of future information system projects in Indonesia.
