Yossar, Yossar, Nur Hakima Akhirani, Mira Yanti Lubis, Fithri Choirunnisa Siregar, Sutan Botung Hasibuan, Rusydi AM, Riki Saputra
Abstract: Muhammad Iqbal emerged during a period of intellectual stagnation in the Muslim world in the early 20th century, introducing a fresh and visionary idea: the reconstruction of religious thought. In his seminal work, The Reconstruction… Reconstruction of Religious Thought in Islam, Iqbal proposed a way out of this stagnation by revitalizing the Islamic intellectual heritage while engaging in a critical dialogue with modernity. This study aims to examine the key concepts of Iqbal's project, including his critique of Greek philosophy, his dynamic view of ijtihad (legal reasoning), his theory of the "Khudi" (Self), his dynamic concept of God and the universe, and his vision of spiritual democracy. Using a qualitative approach with philosophical-hermeneutic analysis, this research concludes that while Iqbal's thought has been widely appreciated as a revitalizing force for Islamic intellectualism, it has also faced criticism concerning its practical implementation and philosophical consistency. The study finds that Iqbal's ideas remain profoundly relevant today, particularly in navigating the challenges of modernity without sacrificing Islamic identity.

Tethool, Evie Susanna, Diat Prasojo , Lantip
Abstract: Democracy in Indonesia faces problems such as the disruption of freedom of expression in criticizing the government, physical violence committed by a junior high school principal against a teacher in Jombang Regency, East… t Java. Principals who are far from democratic values such as deliberation or expressing opinions, Public Junior High Schools in Merauke are less able to control subordinates. This study aims to analyze the implementation of quality-based democratic leadership by Public Junior High School principals in Merauke Regency and identify supporting and inhibiting factors. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach with primary data sources in the form of in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation in five Public Junior High Schools in Merauke, as well as secondary data in the form of archives and educational regulations. The results show that a quality-based democratic leadership style can create a collaborative work climate that improves teacher performance and the quality of educational services, if balanced with effective coordination, continuous motivation, and transparency in decision-making. However, obstacles were also found in the form of a lack of firmness of leaders in enforcing discipline, weak consistency in providing examples, and the influence of local culture that gives rise to personal sentiments. The conclusion of this study is that democratic leadership of quality-oriented school principals is effectively implemented if accompanied by increased managerial competence, strengthening the role of the school principal as a motivator, and a commitment to transparency and professionalism.

Wahdeni, Tuti khairani, Khairani Hasibuan, Hamka
Abstract: The training program “Developing a Growth Mindset Among Elementary School Teachers: A Training Guide for Enhancing Deep Learning” was organized by the Department of Education of Mandailing Natal Regency to strengthen teachers’… teachers’ pedagogical competence and foster a student-centered learning culture. This initiative was motivated by the 2022 PISA results, which revealed that more than 99% of Indonesian students could only solve problems at lower levels (Lower Order Thinking Skills), while less than 1% reached higher levels (Higher Order Thinking Skills). One of the underlying causes is the prevalence of a fixed mindset among teachers—the belief that intelligence is innate and difficult to change. This training aimed to cultivate a growth mindset based on Carol S. Dweck’s (2006) theory, which emphasizes that abilities can be developed through effort and learning strategies. The method employed was a reflective andragogical workshop involving material presentations, microteaching simulations, and collaborative reflections. The results indicated a significant improvement in teachers’ understanding of the growth mindset concept and its implementation in deep learning. Teachers began providing process praise, applying The Power of Yet strategy, and creating emotionally safe and collaborative classroom environments. Furthermore, the establishment of the Growth-Oriented Teacher Community of Mandailing Natal (KGB-Madina) emerged as a sustainable platform for sharing best teaching practices and fostering continuous professional growth.

The research employs a qualitative approach, with data collected through… hrough observation, interviews, and documentation. The focus of this study is to examine how DP3A carries out its role in addressing child abuse in Gowa Regency and to identify the inhibiting factors it faces in handling such cases. The findings reveal that DP3A Gowa Regency plays a strategic role in addressing child abuse through preventive measures such as community outreach and education, case handling through the UPTD PPA with legal and psychological services, and child recovery programs including counseling, therapy, and social reintegration. Collaboration with schools, the police, the Social Affairs Office, NGOs, and the establishment of a Children’s Forum further strengthens the child protection system in the region. However, the study also identifies several inhibiting factors, including a shortage of professional human resources, limited operational funding, and low public awareness influenced by patriarchal culture and the normalization of violence. These obstacles result in limited services, delays in case handling, and a large number of unreported cases. In conclusion, DP3A Gowa Regency plays an essential role in creating a comprehensive child protection ecosystem, although it still requires greater support in terms of human resource capacity, funding, and shifts in societal paradigms to ensure optimal child protection

The research object includes non-financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2014–2023. ESG variables are measured using Bloomberg's ESG score which includes environmental, social, and governance dimensions, while operational efficiency is proxied by the Total Asset Turnover ratio. Financial performance is proxied by Return on Assets. The research method uses a quantitative approach with panel data regression analysis. The research sample consisted of 80 companies with a total of 711 observations. The results of the study show that ESG has a significant negative effect on financial performance. However, operational efficiency has been shown to play a role as a moderation variable that strengthens the relationship between ESG and financial performance. This research makes a theoretical contribution by enriching the literature on the relationship between ESG and financial performance, especially in the context of emerging markets. Romando Yusrat, Arbanur Rasyid, Budi Gautama Siregar
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the implementation of management functions in the management of professional zakat at the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of Padangsidimpuan City. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data… were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, with triangulation applied to ensure validity. The findings show that BAZNAS has implemented the four classical management functions—planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising—in managing professional zakat from civil servants. Planning is carried out through the preparation of zakat collection programs in cooperation with government institutions; organizing is realized through the formation of operational sub-units; implementation is conducted by collecting zakat through salary deductions and distributing it to mustahik via social and empowerment programs; while supervision is executed by an Internal Audit Unit to maintain accountability and transparency. Supporting factors include government affiliation and mayoral instructions, whereas inhibiting factors involve limited human resources, the absence of binding local regulations, restricted access to military and police institutions, and low awareness among civil servants. The study concludes that although BAZNAS has applied management principles in practice, improvements are still needed in human resource regeneration, regulatory frameworks, and digital zakat systems to optimize professional zakat management.
