GENDER ISSUES IN PUBLIC SPACES WITHIN MUSLIM COMMUNITIES: A SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW

Hafith, Abdul, Nikmatullah, Dahlia Hidayati
Abstract: Gender issues in public spaces and Muslim communities have increasingly gained attention in academic discourse due to their strong connection with social norms, cultural values, and religious interpretations that shape women's… omen's patterns of participation. This study aims to examine the influence of gender norms and values within Muslim communities on women’s engagement in public spaces, uncover the challenges they face, and formulate recommendations based on feminist and social constructionist perspectives to promote gender equality. The research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by tracing reputable academic databases through rigorous selection and thematic analysis. The findings reveal that Muslim women’s participation in public spaces is often hindered by patriarchal constructions, discrimination, and limited access. Nevertheless, women have developed strategies of resistance and negotiation that expand their roles. Thematic analysis identifies three main patterns: women’s representation in public spaces, gender-based social practices that impose limitations, and resistance strategies through religious reinterpretation and community activism. This article contributes to theoretical development by enriching global feminist perspectives through the lived experiences of Muslim women while also offering practical contributions in the form of inclusive and socially–religiously sensitive public policy recommendations. The implications highlight the importance of cross-cultural studies and the exploration of women’s experiences at the local community level to broaden understanding of gender equality in contemporary Muslim societies.

Kogoya, Napius, Halitopo, Manase
Abstract: This study analyzes the phenomenon of homophone pyramid language in the Lani Tribe of Papua Pegunungan, revealing that homophones in the Lani language are not merely linguistic coincidences but embody unique phonological… patterns and semantic variations deeply connected to the tribe’s cultural and environmental context. Through descriptive linguistic analysis and field-based data collection, the study identifies several instances of lexical homophony such as tu (“door” / “road”), mayu (“rain” / “salt”), nengge (“eat” / “drink”), ngilu (“cucumber” / “snack”), eyo (“tree” / “barren”), kolee (“leader” / “older man”), abila (“pregnant” / “fat man”), and anuka (“head” / “Anuak tribe”). These examples demonstrate that meaning in the Lani language is primarily determined by contextual cues and pragmatic usage. The findings suggest that homophones in Lani function as linguistic features and cultural expressions that reflect the tribe’s perception of nature, community roles, and social identity. This research contributes to a broader understanding of Papuan linguistics and underscores the importance of preserving indigenous languages as repositories of cultural knowledge and intellectual heritage.

The data sources consist of BIPA teachers, BIPA students and expert lecturers. Data analysis in this research uses descriptive qualitative which consists of data presentation and data conclusions. The results of this research are that BIPA students often feel bored and confused by teaching materials that are only presented in the form of textbooks and very short material. Therefore, teaching materials need to be developed in accordance with Widodo and Jasmadi's theory of teaching material characteristics so that they can support independent learning, deeper understanding, contextualization of material, increased motivation, comprehensive language skills, adaptation to technological developments, learning flexibility, and strengthening skills. grammar. The development of teaching materials through Animaker shows the dominance of changes in substantial and visual aspects, which shows a comparison of characteristics between original and developed teaching materials. The teaching materials developed are more interactive and communicative, so that they can reduce boredom, increase understanding of the material, and increase enthusiasm for learning Indonesian for students

Abstract: Laboratory examinations play an important role in supporting disease diagnosis and treatment, one of which is the measurement of uric acid levels. The accuracy of laboratory results is significantly influenced by the pre-analytical… -analytical stage, including the type of blood collection tube used. Two commonly used tubes are the plain vacutainer and the clot activator vacutainer, each with different additives that may affect blood clotting time and test results. This study aimed to determine the differences in uric acid test results and clotting time using these two types of tubes. A simple experimental method with a comparative design was conducted at Klinik Pratama Rawat Jalan Mambal Medical Care from March to April 2025. The sample consisted of 15 respondents, each undergoing two blood draws using both tube types. The results showed that the average clotting time for the clot activator tube was 9.27 minutes, while for the plain tube it was 24.67 minutes. The average uric acid level measured using the clot activator tube was 5.27 mg/dL, compared to 5.14 mg/dL using the plain tube. Statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test indicated a significant difference in clotting time but no significant difference in uric acid levels (p > 0.05). It can be concluded that the use of clot activator vacutainer tubes accelerates the blood clotting process but does not significantly affect uric acid levels compared to plain tubes.
