Abstract: Equality education through the Package B Program at PKBM has an important role in providing educational services for people who cannot access formal education. The diverse characteristics of learning residents require the… e application of appropriate learning approaches, one of which is through the andragogi approach. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the andragogy approach in Package B learning at PKBM Citra Priangan, identify its supporting and inhibiting factors, and determine its impact on the involvement of learning residents. The research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using Miles, Huberman's model. The results of the study show that the principles of andragogy have been applied through experiential learning, participatory methods, learning flexibility, and the development of life skills programs. Supporting factors include family culture, tutor competence, and learning flexibility, while inhibiting factors are limited facilities, learning environment conditions, and heterogeneity of learning residents. The implementation of andragogy has been proven to increase the participation, motivation, and involvement of learning residents in the learning process. Thus, the andragogy approach effectively supports the implementation of Package B learning that is more relevant to the needs of learning residents

Abstract: Nature based curricula are often perceived as mere aimless play, despite their significant potential to meet formal learning targets. This study aims to analyze the role of teacher professionalism in integrating outdoor… experiences (outbound) into formal learning outcomes for early childhood. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative through a literature study of reputable journals. The findings indicate that teacher professionalism, encompassing pedagogical competence and nature-educator identity, is the key to successful integration. Systematically designed outdoor activities are proven to significantly enhance children's executive functions, self-regulation, and literacy-numeracy skills. The discussion emphasizes that direct experience in nature is not a hindrance but a catalyst for formal academic achievements. In conclusion, effective integration requires teachers capable of mapping nature activities into national curriculum indicators. This study recommends specialized training for early childhood teachers to strengthen reflection and curriculum mapping skills in nature-based settings.

Wildatul Umah, Muhammad Ma’dinul In’am Al Kamil, Erma Fatmawati, Mu'alimin
Abstract: Lesson Plan (RPP) is an important component in the learning process that functions as a guide for teachers in conducting teaching and learning activities. This study aims to analyze Social Studies (IPS) lesson plans in the… the 2013 Curriculum and the simplified lesson plans, as well as to examine the differences, strengths, and weaknesses of both in supporting the learning process. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a library research method and comparative analysis. Data were obtained from official documents, books, and relevant scientific journals. The results show that the 2013 Curriculum lesson plan has complete, detailed, and systematic components, providing structured guidance for teaching, but it tends to be complex and burdens teachers administratively. Meanwhile, the simplified lesson plan only consists of three main components, namely learning objectives, learning activities, and assessment, making it more flexible, practical, and efficient. In Social Studies learning, the simplified lesson plan is considered more relevant as it accommodates contextual and student-centered learning. However, the effectiveness of the simplified lesson plan highly depends on teachers’ pedagogical competence in designing and implementing learning activities. Therefore, teachers’ skills and creativity are required to ensure that the simplified lesson plan can optimally achieve learning objectives.

Abstract: The aim of this research was to investigate: (1) the application of the Community Language Learning (CLL) model on students’ speaking competence, (2) the students’ speaking competence before and after the implementation… ion of the CLL model, and (3) whether there is a significant effect of the CLL model on students’ speaking competence.  The population of this study consisted of 248 tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan. Using systematic sampling, a total of 35 students were selected as the sample. This research employed an experimental method. Data were collected through observation and speaking tests, and the results were analyzed using a paired-sample t-test. The findings revealed that the application of the CLL model on students’ speaking ability scored 3.6, categorized as “Very Good”. The students’ mean speaking score before the implementation of CLL was 78.51 (“Good”), which increased to 83.42 (“Very Good”) after the treatment. The t-test calculation yielded a t-value of 7.15, which exceeds the critical t-value of 2.03 at a 5% significance level (df = 35). Therefore, it is concluded that there is a statistically significant effect of the Community Language Learning model on students’ speaking competence among tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan.

FROM DISCIPLINE TO DEVELOPMENT: ADAPTING CORE MARCHING BAND STRUCTURES FOR DEVELOPMENTALLY APPROPRIATE PRACTICE IN INDONESIAN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

Kurniawan, Iwan, Pamungkas, Joko
Abstract: This study examines how core marching band structures can be adapted for Indonesian early childhood education through developmentally appropriate practice and performance theory. The study responds to concerns that preschool… hool marching band activities may reproduce discipline-oriented rehearsal models designed for older learners. A one-group pre-test and post-test mixed-methods design was used with twenty Indonesian preschool children aged four to five years. Over six weeks, children participated in twelve adapted marching band sessions that combined simplified rhythmic patterns, child-scaled instruments, neat but developmentally adjusted formations, cooperative music-making, visual-motor activities, and responsive teacher facilitation. Quantitative data were collected using a four-point developmental observation rubric covering rhythmic competence, motor coordination, and socio-emotional engagement. Qualitative data were obtained from teacher reflective journals and post-intervention interviews. Paired-sample analysis showed higher post-test scores across the three developmental domains. The largest observed improvement appeared in socio-emotional engagement, followed by rhythmic competence and motor coordination. However, because the study did not include a control group, the findings should be interpreted as developmental changes observed after participation rather than definitive causal effects of the intervention. Qualitative findings indicated that children participated more confidently when teachers simplified rhythmic tasks, used clear and neat formations with reduced technical pressure, provided child-scaled instruments, supported safe movement, and acted as co-players and emotional co-regulators. The study reconceptualizes marching band routines not as rigid disciplinary scripts, but as adaptable performative frames that may support social participation, emotional regulation, rhythmic learning, motor coordination, cooperation, and creative agency when aligned with children’s developmental readiness.

PROFESSIONALISM AND THE ROLE OF SHADOW TEACHERS IN INCLUSIVE EDUCATION SERVICES AT BUTTERFLY LEARNING CENTER

Lathifah, Inayatul, Pamungkas, Joko
Abstract: This study aims to describe the professionalism and roles of shadow teachers in supporting inclusive education services at Butterfly Learning Center (BLC). As an institution dedicated to transitioning children with special… al needs (CSN) into formal schooling, BLC implements an intensive one-to-one accompaniment system. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation of accompaniment activities, and document review. The findings indicate that shadow teachers at BLC fulfill multifunctional roles, including identifying each child's specific needs, designing intervention programmes, developing basic independence skills, and providing evaluations and progress reports to parents and classroom teachers. The professionalism of shadow teachers is demonstrated through their ability to adapt instructional strategies in accordance with each child's concentration level, as well as their physical and cognitive limitations. Furthermore, teachers engage in ongoing collaboration with parents to monitor and evaluate children's progress through regular daily reports. This study concludes that the competence and dedication of shadow teachers are critical factors in the successful transition of children with special needs into broader educational settings. An effective shadow teacher does not only focus on academic readiness, but also place equal emphasis on developing independence as a necessary foundation for children's social integration in the future.
