QUANTITATIVE ROADMAP: EXPLORING METHODOLOGY THROUGH THE LENS LITERATURE REVIEW

Juniarti, Leni, Donna Boedi Maritasari, Dinda Rizka Amalia, Nurul Aini
Abstract: Quantitative research is a crucial foundation in the scientific landscape to understand phenomena objectively and measurably. Although essential, there is often a gap between methodological idealism and research practice,… , especially among novice researchers, which is indicated by the use of quantitative methods that are not optimal in student theses due to lack of mastery of methodology and statistics, marked by inconsistencies in variable logic, lack of theoretical basis, data bias, sampling technique errors, to inaccuracy in testing the validity of instruments and statistical analysis. Through a systematic and comprehensive literature review, this article aims to present a complete picture of the “roadmap” of quantitative research, including the essence, principles, key stages (starting from problem formulation, sample determination, instrument development, data collection, to analysis and interpretation of results), and its various types, rooted in the positivist paradigm that emphasizes objectivity and hypothesis testing. Although quantitative research offers significant advantages such as time efficiency and generalizability, challenges such as difficulty in data collection and lack of in-depth analysis also need to be overcome, so improving methodological and statistical training is crucial to producing valid, accountable scientific work that contributes significantly to the development of science.

RELATIONSHIP OF BODY MASS INDEX WITH HbA1c MEASURES IN PATIENTS AT PRIMA MEDIKA DENPASAR HOSPITAL

S.A.N Diah Ratnasari Warassaty, Prasetya, Didik, Nyoman Sudarma
Abstract: The rising prevalence of obesity in Indonesia contributes to increased risk of metabolic diseases such as diabetes mellitus. Body Mass Index (BMI) is commonly used to assess nutritional status and may be correlated with… long-term blood glucose levels measured by Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c). This study aimed to explore the relationship between BMI and HbA1c levels in patients at Prima Medika General Hospital, Denpasar. A cross-sectional analytic observational design was employed, involving 30 purposively selected respondents. BMI was calculated from weight and height measurements, while HbA1c levels were assessed using the immunoturbidimetric method. Results showed an even distribution of respondents in the normal and overweight BMI categories (each 46.5%), while 50% had HbA1c levels >8%. However, Pearson correlation analysis indicated no statistically significant relationship between BMI and HbA1c levels (p=0.982; r=-0.004). The study concludes that BMI does not have a linear correlation with HbA1c levels. Other factors such as type and duration of therapy, disease progression, and patient adherence may play a greater role in influencing glycemic control and should be further investigated.

Erpianti, Wiga, Sulastio, Agus, Vai, Aref
Abstract: This study aims to understand the effect of underhand passing training using a wall as a medium on underhand passing ability in children aged 10-12 years. This study is an experimental study using the One Groups Pretest-Posttest… Posttest Design method. The sample in this study were 15 athletes of the Putri Angin Kuantan Singingi Club aged 10-12 years. The instrument in this study was a volleyball underhand passing skill test for ages 10-12 years. Data analysis and testing of research hypotheses using the t-test analysis technique (t-test) using the SPSS 23 program, namely by comparing the mean between the pretest and posttest with the hypothesis acceptance criteria if the t count value is greater than the t table with a significance of 5%. The results showed that: Underhand passing training using a wall as a medium on underhand passing ability in children aged 10-12 years at the Putri Angin Kuantan Singingi Club had a significant effect. These results were proven by data analysis using prerequisite tests and hypothesis testing. The results of the hypothesis testing obtained in the study were t count = 10.614> t table = 2.145 and a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. These results indicate that the t count value is greater than the t table. It can be concluded that there is an effect of underhand passing using wall media on underhand passing ability in children aged 10-12 years at the Putri Angin Kuantan Singingi Club.

Abstract: Abstract This study is motivated by the financial literacy of generation Z and also the quality of life insurance products in Indonesia which are moderated by gender in influencing a person's interest in buying life insurance… surance in Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive relationship approach. Determination of the sample in this study was carried out by calculating using the Bernoulli formula, with a total of 384 respondents. The data analysis technique used is the Structural Equation Model - Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results of the study show that financial literacy (X1) and product quality (X2) do not have a significant effect on buying interest (Y) where the p-values of both variables are <0.05. Other findings also state that Gender (Z) does not significantly moderate financial literacy and product quality. The conclusion of this study is that the factors that make generation Z interested in buying insurance products are influenced by their perceptions of financial literacy and product quality. More specifically, the perception of product quality factors has a significant and positive influence on generation Z's interest in buying life insurance products in Indonesia. The findings show that of the two variables, product quality can be the strongest predictor in predicting generation Z's interest in purchasing life insurance products. Financial literacy cannot significantly predict generation Z's interest in purchasing insurance products. Keywords : financial literacy, product quality, gender, purchasing intention
