Thomas Kuhn, through his theory of scientific revolutions , argued that the development of science does not occur linearly and cumulatively, but rather through paradigm leaps triggered by internal crises in the scientific community and resolved through collective consensus. On the other hand, Ibn Rushd, as a representative of rationalist philosophers in the classical Islamic thought treasury, places reason and logic as universal epistemic foundations in revealing scientific truth, and firmly rejects the dominance of theological authority that hinders freedom of thought. This study reveals that although both come from different traditions and historical contexts, there is a common ground in the critical attitude towards intellectual stagnation and the drive to open up space for renewal of thought. However, epistemologically, both show sharp divergences: Kuhn is based on contextual paradigmatic relativism, while Ibn Rushd is rooted in transhistorical rational objectivism. Using a comparative-philosophical approach, this article concludes that a critical synthesis of the two views can enrich contemporary discourse on the foundations and direction of the development of science.

tion of the Archipelago is inextricably linked to colonial epistemological legacies and the hegemony of external cultures, particularly Arabic. Gus Dur’s thought process can be understood as a deconstructive effort against the dichotomy between “pure” and “local” Islam that was created by colonial powers and puritan movements. It is evident that Gus Dur’s rejection of the uniformity of Arab culture as the sole representation of Islam was underpinned by a sharp critique of arabisation. As an alternative, he proffered the concept of Islamic pribumisation, defined as the adjustment of Islamic expression to local cultural values without sacrificing the substance of the teachings. Furthermore, Gus Dur placed significant emphasis on the necessity of contextualising Islamic teachings, emphasising the importance of re-evaluating Islamic values in accordance with the prevailing social and cultural dynamics of Indonesian society. It is asserted that an approach of this nature will engender the concepts of pluralism and tolerance, which will in turn serve as the primary foundations upon which religious life is to be constructed. The present study employs a qualitative approach, utilising critical discourse analysis of Gus Dur’s ideas and relevant supporting literature. The findings demonstrate that Gus Dur’s thought plays a significant role in formulating the paradigm of Islam Nusantara. This paradigm is characterised by its responsiveness to local realities, its transcendence of religious formalism, and its rehabilitation of cultural dignity as an integral part of Islamic expression. Consequently, the thought of Gus Dur constitutes a significant contribution to the development of a plural, humanist and contextual Islamic civilisation.

This research is using a qualitative descriptive approach, the research involved interviews, observations, and data analysis to identify students’ English competencies and challenges. The Findings in this research show that students require strong skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, especially to understand international literature, compose academic and legal documents, and participate in global discourse. However, students face major obstacles such as limited vocabulary rela ted to Sharia and economic terminology, and a lack of confidence in speaking due to minimal exposure. Despite these challenges, students demonstrate high motivation to improve their English for academic advancement and career opportunities. Data were collected from scientific articles published between 2015 and 2024 using Scopus, PubMed, DOAJ, and Google Scholar. Findings reveal that excessive complaining amplifies stress, worsens mental health, and disrupts the immune system. Psychologically, uncontrolled complaints are linked to low emotional resilience. From an Islamic view, patience (shabr) and supplication to God provide spiritual strength and mental stability. Medically, emotional stress raises cortisol levels, negatively impacting tissue healing and immune responses. This study underscores the urgency of a holistic approach that integrates psychological, spiritual, and medical dimensions in healthcare services. It contributes to scientific discourse by offering a model for more humane and comprehensive healthcare. Further empirical studies are recommended to validate this integration in clinical settings.

Through a nethnography approach, this study examines the comments of netizens in response to the issue, revealing various expressions of digital politics, social identity, and criticism of public policy. Using the Public Sphere theory, and media equation theory, this study highlights the dynamics of interaction between satirical media, public opinion, and digital political participation. he results of the study indicate that netizens' comments serve not only as a means of political expression but also as a reflection of collective negotiation and public discourse surrounding IKN policies. The findings indicate three predominant patterns in netizens' opinions. The first is a rejection of the IKN project, encompassing controversies over its development, concerns regarding its potential impacts, and widespread public skepticism. Second, the perspective of governance and leadership, including the management of the capital city and the political situation of Indonesia. and the third development project of the capital city is considered good which includes community support. This research contributes to a new understanding of digital political literacy and the importance of social media platforms in shaping contemporary political discourse. The novelty of this research lies in the use of nethnography to examine public responses in the context of satirical media, which is rarely the focus of political communication studies.

The selection of peer-reviewed articles published within the last ten years involved databases like PubMed and Google Scholar with keywords related to Islamic spirituality and mental health. This method allowed a comprehensive analysis of contemporary studies, focusing on the therapeutic benefits of tawakal and dzikir in clinical settings. Results indicate that tawakal significantly reduces anxiety by fostering a relinquishing of control and instilling peace of mind, while dzikir enhances emotional stability through its meditative repetition of sacred phrases, promoting relaxation and reducing stress responses. Both practices not only support spiritual well-being but also offer practical coping mechanisms in stressful situations. The conclusion underlines the potential integration of tawakal and dzikir into conventional psychotherapeutic practices. It suggests further exploration into the incorporation of these spiritual elements within mental health frameworks to enhance therapeutic outcomes and patient recovery. This research contributes to the broader discourse on the intersection of spirituality and psychology, highlighting the relevance of traditional spiritual practices in contemporary mental health paradigms.
