BRIDGING FINANCIAL AND DIGITAL COMPETENCES WITH INVESTMENT RISK THROUGH THE MEDIATING POWER OF INFORMATION DISCLOSURE

Indrasari, Elizabeth Sastrina, Soma, Abdul Mukti
Abstract: Digital technologies are changing rapidly, and this has changed the financial services industry, especially how people decide where to invest their money. This study looks at how digital literacy, financial literacy, and… fear of missing out (FOMO) affect how much risk young investors are willing to take when investing with information disclosure as a mediating variable. The research data is taken from 447 investors of Gen Y and Z in West Java and used Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLSSEM). The results show that being financially literate makes people more likely to search for financial information, but it also makes them less willing to take risks when investing. This suggests that people who know a lot about money are more careful when they invest. On the other hand, FOMO has a positive effect on both information searching and risk tolerance, showing how emotions can affect people online. Digital literacy helps people be more willing to take risks, but it does not have a big effect on how much information they search. These results show how important cognitive and emotional factors are in determining how people act when it comes to IT-driven finances. The study helps with responsible digital transformation by showing how important it is for individuals to be ready to navigate fintech ecosystems. It also gives regulators, platform providers, and educators ideas on how to promote more informed and resilient investment practices.

EXPLORING PERSONAL INNOVATIVENESS AS A DRIVING FACTOR IN THE TECHNOLOGY ACCEPTANCE MODEL FOR MYTELKOMSEL IMPROVING

Yulianti, Dira, Noviaristanti, Siska
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the role of Personal Innovativeness in influencing the actual use of the MyTelkomsel application through an extended Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). In this model, Personal Innovativeness is… positioned as a core construct that influences three key user perceptions: Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, and Perceived Enjoyment. A total of 355 respondents participated in the study, and the data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that seven out of eight hypothesized paths between constructs in the model demonstrate statistically significant effects. The only non-significant relationship is found between Perceived Ease of Use and Attitude Toward Use, suggesting that ease of use is no longer a major determinant of user attitudes toward digital applications, possibly because it is now perceived as a basic standard in technology usage. Conversely, Personal Innovativeness consistently exerts a significant influence on all three key perceptions, which in turn affect users’ attitudes, intentions, and actual behaviors. These results underscore the strategic role of innovative personal characteristics in driving adoption and active engagement with digital applications. The practical implications highlight the importance of user segmentation based on innovation levels, the development of enjoyable features, and the refinement of user experience to promote sustained engagement within digital ecosystems such as MyTelkomsel.

IMPACT OF SOCIAL MEDIA USE IN POLITICAL CAMPAIGNS ON VOTER AWARENESS AMONG FIRST-TIME VOTERS AT SMAN 15 GARUT IN ELECTORAL PARTICIPATION

Ilham, Muhammad Ilham Fadilah
Abstract: The use of social media in political campaigns significantly impacts the political awareness of first-time voters at SMAN 15 Garut. Validity and reliability tests of the research instrument indicate that the questionnaire… e used is valid and reliable, allowing for accurate measurement of the desired concepts. Simple linear regression analysis reveals a positive relationship between the social media use variable (X) and the level of voter political awareness (Y), with social media explaining approximately 23.1% of the variation in voter awareness. Although significant, the influence of social media does not explain the entire variation in voter political awareness. Other factors outside the research variables also contribute, indicating the complexity in understanding the factors that influence the political awareness of first-time voters. Therefore, it is suggested to integrate social media use into better political campaign strategies, considering the characteristics of first-time voters. Increased digital access and knowledge also need to be strengthened so that first-time voters can participate more actively and effectively in the democratic process.
