Abstract:This article examines political practices concerning gender issues in Indonesia by highlighting the roles of maternalism (ibuisme) and the hijab as symbolic political instruments. Maternalism positions women within the social…
ocial construction of nurturing “mothers of the nation,” while the hijab functions as a symbol of religiosity and cultural identity used to strengthen electoral legitimacy. Although these symbols may provide women with access and acceptance in political spaces, they often limit the meaning of women’s participation by emphasizing symbolic representation rather than substantive capability and political ideas. This analysis employs a qualitative approach based on a literature review of academic studies on political representation, identity politics, patriarchy, and citizenship. The findings indicate that maternalism and the hijab reflect the persistent dominance of patriarchal culture in Indonesian politics, resulting in gender-biased forms of female citizenship. Therefore, critical awareness and deeper reflection are needed to ensure that women’s representation in politics does not remain merely symbolic but instead fosters substantive participation for a more inclusive democracy.
Abstract:This study examines the ethical and pedagogical implications of deep learning integration in fourth-grade classrooms at SDN 100801 Pasar Sempurna, Indonesia. Through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with…
h teachers, and document analysis, the research found that deep learning applications significantly improved student engagement and individualized learning outcomes. However, ethical concerns emerged regarding data privacy, unequal access to digital tools, and limited teacher preparedness. Teachers expressed uncertainty in balancing technological autonomy with moral and pedagogical control. The study concludes that while deep learning supports more adaptive and inclusive learning environments, its ethical implementation remains constrained by insufficient institutional policies and digital literacy. Strengthening teacher competence and establishing transparent ethical frameworks are crucial for ensuring responsible AI integration in primary education. These findings provide practical insights into balancing innovation and ethics in early educational contexts.
Abstract:Muhammad Iqbal emerged during a period of intellectual stagnation in the Muslim world in the early 20th century, introducing a fresh and visionary idea: the reconstruction of religious thought. In his seminal work, The Reconstruction…
Reconstruction of Religious Thought in Islam, Iqbal proposed a way out of this stagnation by revitalizing the Islamic intellectual heritage while engaging in a critical dialogue with modernity. This study aims to examine the key concepts of Iqbal's project, including his critique of Greek philosophy, his dynamic view of ijtihad (legal reasoning), his theory of the "Khudi" (Self), his dynamic concept of God and the universe, and his vision of spiritual democracy. Using a qualitative approach with philosophical-hermeneutic analysis, this research concludes that while Iqbal's thought has been widely appreciated as a revitalizing force for Islamic intellectualism, it has also faced criticism concerning its practical implementation and philosophical consistency. The study finds that Iqbal's ideas remain profoundly relevant today, particularly in navigating the challenges of modernity without sacrificing Islamic identity.

e among children has become a major concern because it can affect their emotional and social aspects. This research employed a quantitative method with a descriptive correlational design and a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of all fifth- and sixth-grade students totaling 37 respondents, with 34 students meeting the inclusion criteria. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed statistically using a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that most respondents experienced online game addiction (18 students or 52.9%) and emotional changes (18 students or 52.9%). Based on the bivariate test results, a p-value of 0.007 (p < 0.05) was obtained, indicating a significant relationship between online game addiction and emotional changes among school-age children.
Abstract:This study aims to implement the work ethics of government employees in providing public services in Tamalate District based on Law Number 25 of 2009 concerning Public Services. This study uses a qualitative method with…
a case study approach in administrative services in Tamalate District. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with government employees and service users, direct observation of the service process, and analysis of relevant documents. The results of the study indicate that the work ethics of government employees in providing public services is still not optimal. Some employees exhibit unprofessional behavior, such as slow service delivery, lack of empathy towards the public, and low transparency in the service process. However, there are also employees who demonstrate positive behavior, such as providing clear and accurate information, and praying friendly and patient in serving the public. This study concludes that improving the work ethics of government employees is essential through public service ethics training programs, strict supervision, and regular evaluation and monitoring of employee performance. This effort is crucial to ensure public services meet the standards of professionalism, transparency, and accountability as mandated by Law Number 25 of 2009. The results of this study are expected to contribute to improving the quality of public services in Tamalate District and serve as a reference for similar research in the future.
Abstract:Background: Maintaining children's health is a special concern for parents. Changes in children's health conditions are influenced by changes in weather, one of the symptoms that often occurs in children is fever or hyperthermia.…
rthermia. One of the non-pharmacological treatments is by administering Water Tepid Sponge (WTS). Water Tepid Sponge is a combination of warm compress techniques, superficial vascular block compress techniques and wiping techniques. The compression technique is carried out at several points where there are large blood vessels (neck folds, right and left axillary folds, right and left thigh folds) so that vasodilation occurs and then accelerates evaporation and conduction to lower body temperature in children. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of administering Water Tepid Sponge (WTS) to reduce body temperature in toddlers with hyperthermia problems in Panican Village. Method: This study used a descriptive case study with respondents of toddlers with hyperthermia problems. The focus of this case study is the provision of Water Tepid Sponge (WTS) with hyperthermia problems as a nonpharmacological action. This study was conducted in Panican Village for 3 days starting on 23-25 June 2025. Results: After being given Water Tepid Sponge (WTS) for 3 days with 1 meeting within 15-30 minutes using water temperature of 37oC40oC, the child's body temperature decreased, the initial result was 38.7oC and after being given Water Tepid Sponge (WTS) for 3 days, the result was 37.3oC. Conclusion: Providing Water Tepid Sponge (WTS) can reduce body temperature in toddlers with hyperthermia problems in Panican Village.
Abstract:This research examines the relevance of adopting the concept of active judges within adversarial common law traditions to Indonesia’s hybrid criminal procedure. The primary objective is to explore whether the active judge…
dge model can strengthen Indonesia’s criminal justice reform without undermining its civil law foundation. This study employs a normative juridical method with a comparative approach, analyzing doctrinal sources, statutory law, and scholarly debates from both civil law and common law perspectives. The findings suggest that while the adversarial system traditionally restricts judges to a passive role, the notion of an active judge has emerged to prevent procedural abuses and ensure substantive justice. For Indonesia, integrating aspects of the active judge model may contribute to enhancing transparency, protecting defendants’ rights, and harmonizing procedural justice with societal expectations. Nevertheless, challenges remain, particularly concerning judicial independence, consistency of application, and potential conflicts with established inquisitorial practices. This study concludes that the adoption of active judge principles must be carefully contextualized, reinforcing Indonesia’s hybrid system rather than replacing its legal traditions.
Abstract:This study examines the influence of firm ethicality, green marketing, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) on brand loyalty toward Tokopedia, it also explores the moderating roles of brand reputation, environmental…
concern, and social influence. A survey of 56 Tokopedia users was analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). Results show that firm ethicality significantly and positively influenced brand loyalty. In contrast, green marketing and CSR did not show significant effects, nor did any of the hypothesized moderating relationships. Interestingly, social influence, although not proposed as a direct predicator, demonstrated a significant direct effect on brand loyalty, highlighting the roles of normative and informational influence in e-commerce. Assessment of the measurement model confirmed satisfactory construct reliability, convergent validity, and discriminant validity. The structural model exhibited predictive relevance. The findings indicate that corporate ethics and social influence are key factors in fostering loyalty within Indonesia’s digital marketplace.
Abstract:This study examines the legal certainty of financing for Indonesia's Desa Merah Putih Cooperative (KDMP) initiative, analyzing the institutional tension between cooperative independence and state intervention. Rooted in…
the constitutional mandate for cooperatives as a cornerstone of the Indonesian economy, the KDMP program aims to establish 80,000 village-level cooperatives through state-facilitated credit lines and technical assistance. However, this top-down model raises concerns about undermining cooperative autonomy enshrined in Law No. 25/1992 and the principle of subsidiarity. Employing a normative juridical research design, this study draws on secondary data from legal literature and primary legal materials to systematically examine relevant norms and doctrines. Findings reveal a tenuous alignment between state financing mechanisms and cooperative autonomy, primarily due to the proposed reliance on state-owned bank credit lines rather than direct state budget grants, leading to legal ambiguity regarding accountability and oversight. The potential for mass loan defaults and the contentious use of Village Funds as collateral further complicate legal certainty and risk hidden liabilities. Comparative insights from India's Amul cooperative and the Philippines' barangay cooperatives illustrate successful models where government acts as a facilitator without impinging on cooperative self-governance or member control. This study advocates for a recalibrated regulatory approach featuring transparent oversight, proportional supervision, and participatory decision-making to reconcile developmental imperatives with cooperative principles, ultimately enhancing legal certainty and ensuring that state-supported cooperatives remain genuinely member-driven enterprises.
