n, carbon emissions, and concerns over long-term energy availability. Biomass-based alternative energy has emerged as one of the strategic solutions to support sustainable energy transitions, particularly in developing countries such as Indonesia. One potential biomass source that remains underutilized is horse manure, which can be processed into briquettes known as Brikuda.
This study aims to analyze the potential of Brikuda as an alternative energy source and to develop a sustainable business model using the Business Model Canvas (BMC). A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, involving in-depth interviews, direct observations, and analysis of secondary data. The findings reveal that Brikuda has strong potential as a renewable fuel due to the abundant availability of horse manure in Bandar Lampung. It offers economic benefits, reduces environmental pollution, and supports local empowerment. The Business Model Canvas analysis shows that farmers and livestock breeders are the primary customer segments, while the value proposition emphasizes affordability, environmental friendliness, and ease of use.
The study concludes that the Brikuda business model can enhance local economic value, promote sustainable waste management, and serve as a feasible alternative energy innovation. The research contributes to the development of renewable energy entrepreneurship and provides a reference for policy formulation in promoting local-based bioenergy initiatives.

competitive advantage of a micro-scale coffee shop in Indonesia, namely 360 Coffee. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving business owners, employees, and customers. The findings reveal that brand identity consistency, emotional engagement with consumers, product differentiation, and service experience significantly contribute to customer loyalty and market positioning. However, the study also identifies challenges related to limited strategic branding planning, constrained resources, and suboptimal digital branding utilization. These findings support previous studies emphasizing that effective branding enables MSEs to create perceived value beyond functional attributes (Kotler & Keller, 2016; Wijoyo et al., 2021). This research contributes to the literature on small business branding by providing empirical evidence from a local coffee enterprise and offers practical insights for MSE owners seeking sustainable competitive advantage.

utilizing in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that although the enterprise has not formally implemented a structured business model, all nine elements of the BMC are naturally reflected in its operational practices. The customer segments consist of students, workers, and the wider community seeking affordable and fast-serving meals. The value propositions emphasize affordability, consistent flavors, and friendly customer service. Key resources include human resources, equipment, raw materials, and financial capital, while key partnerships involve employees, suppliers, and customers. Revenue streams arise from food and beverage sales and delivery services, supported by direct sales channels and simple promotional strategies. This study aligns with the literature highlighting the importance of BMC in strengthening MSME competitiveness (Alifiyah & Budiman, 2021; Dwisanto & Ifghaniyafi, 2024). The findings contribute to MSME development research by demonstrating the relevance of the BMC as a strategic tool for enhancing sustainability in small-scale culinary businesses.

Abstract:Philanthropy has increasingly evolved from a form of charitable assistance into a strategic actor within sustainable development processes. However, much of the existing practice and literature still treats philanthropy…
as an isolated or supplementary intervention, limiting its potential to generate systemic and long-term impact. This article aims to critically examine the role of philanthropic institutions within a broader ecosystem of sustainable development, emphasizing the importance of multi-stakeholder collaboration involving government, the private sector, academia, and local communities.
Using a qualitative literature review with a conceptual and analytical orientation, this study synthesizes scholarly works on philanthropy, collaborative governance, corporate social responsibility, Islamic philanthropy, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a particular focus on Indonesia and the Global South. The analysis demonstrates that philanthropic contributions become more effective and sustainable when embedded within an integrated development ecology, rather than operating through fragmented and project-based approaches.
The findings highlight philanthropy’s strategic roles as a catalyst for social innovation, a bridge between sectors, and a facilitator of long-term social investment. Islamic philanthropic instruments such as zakat and productive waqf further illustrate how value-based financial mechanisms can support inclusive development when professionally managed and aligned with national and global development agendas. This study contributes conceptually by reframing philanthropy as a system-level change agent within a sustainable development ecology, offering an integrative lens for understanding collaboration, governance, and impact. The article concludes that sustainable development is best achieved not through isolated institutional efforts, but through coordinated, trust-based ecosystems in which philanthropy plays a transformative and connective role.

the transition toward a sustainable consumption model. The main focus is directed at three key issues: the right to environmental information, the right to repair, and regulatory challenges related to greenwashing practices. By using a narrative literature review approach, this article examines various academic and policy sources to evaluate the extent to which consumer protection has been integrated into circular economy strategies. The findings show that although positive initiatives have been taken, regulatory implementation remains weak and often fails to provide effective protection mechanisms for consumers. The policy implications proposed include strengthening standards for environmental claims, expanding the right to repair across sectors, and increasing sustainability literacy at the consumer level. This article aims to enrich academic discourse and serve as a foundation for consumer-based policy development in support of the circular economy agenda.
