IMPLEMENTATION OF BEETROOT JUICE (BETA VULGARIS L) ADMINISTRATION TO INCREASE HEMOGLOBIN LEVEL IN PREGNANT WOMEN WITH ANEMIA IN TAMANSARI VILLAGE KARANGMONCOL DISTRICT

Farah Diska Meila Sari, Priyatin Sulistyowati, Fida Dyah Puspasari
Abstract: Background: Anemia is a condition in which the level of red blood cells or hemoglobin in the body is below normal. In pregnant women, anemia can pose health risks to both the mother and the fetus. One of the non-pharmacological… logical treatments that can be used is the administration of natural ingredients such as beetroot, which serves as an alternative due to its content of iron, folic acid, and vitamin C that can help increase hemoglobin levels. Objective: To provide an overview of the implementation of beetroot juice to increase hemoglobin levels in pregnant women with anemia. Methods: This study used a case study design involving one pregnant woman with anemia who met the inclusion criteria. The intervention consisted of administering 200 ml of beetroot juice per day for seven consecutive days. Evaluation was carried out by measuring hemoglobin levels before and after the intervention using the Easy Touch GCHb device. Results: The results showed that hemoglobin levels increased from 10.5 g/dL before the intervention to 11.8 g/dL after seven days, with an increase of 1.3 g/dL. Conclusion: Regular administration of beetroot juice is effective in increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women with anemia.

THE EFECT OF BAY LEAFT (SYZYGIUM POLYANTHUM) DECOCTION ON URIC ACID LEVEL REDUCTION IN ELDERLY PATIENTS WITH GOUT ARTHRITIS IN SERANG VILLAGE

Sofiyatun Hasanah, Dwi Astuti, Priyatin Sulistyowati
Abstract: Background: Elderly individuals are at high risk of experiencing degenerative diseases, one of which is gout arthritis, caused by the accumulation of monosodium urate crystals in the joints due to hyperuricemia. Non-pharmacological… macological therapies such as bay leaf (Syzygium polyanthum), which contains flavonoids, tannins, and essential oils, are believed to naturally reduce uric acid levels. Objective: To determine the effect of bay leaf decoction on reducing uric acid levels in elderly patients with gout arthritis in Serang Village. Method: This research used a descriptive approach with a case study method. The subject was one elderly person with gout arthritis who was given an intervention in the form of bay leaf decoction twice a day for four days. Results: The uric acid level before the intervention was 8.2 mg/dL and after the intervention was 4.2 mg/dL. The reduction of 4 mg/dL indicates that the bay leaf decoction was effective in lowering uric acid levels. Conclusion: Bay leaf decoction affects the reduction of uric acid levels in elderly patients with gout arthritis and can be used as a safe, easy, and affordable nonpharmacological alternative therapy.

Conclusion: Administering tomato juice and dragon fruit juice can be an effective complementary therapy in lowering blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

PETROLOGICAL AND PETROGRAPHIC CHARACTERISTICS OF BUTON ROCK ASPHALT (ASBUTON) TRAP ROCK IN THE WINNING AREA OF BUTON REGENCY

Isman Saleh
Abstract: This study aims to identify the petrological and petrographical characteristics of carbonate rocks that act as natural asphalt (Asbuton) reservoir rocks in the Winning area, Buton Regency. The analysis was conducted through… ugh megascopic observation of rock outcrops and microscopic observation of thin sections using a polarizing microscope. The results show that the carbonate rock units in the study area are dominated by bioclastic limestone (biomicrite) and dolomitic limestone (biogenic dolomite). The bioclastic limestone consists of foraminiferal and shell fragments bound by micrite and sparry calcite cement, whereas the dolomitic limestone displays fine- to medium-crystalline textures with well-developed intercrystalline porosity formed through dolomitization. Partial to advanced dolomitization occurred due to the circulation of magnesium-rich fluids in a restricted marine environment during the post-depositional stage. The mineralogical transformation from calcite to dolomite enhanced both porosity and compactness, making these rocks potential reservoir rocks for natural asphalt accumulation. Overall, the petrological and petrographical characteristics indicate that the carbonate rocks in the Winning area underwent a complex diagenetic evolution and play a significant role in the formation and entrapment system of Buton Rock Asphalt (Asbuton).

Kogoya, Napius, Sem, Adriana, Kogoya, Napius
Abstract: Abstract  This research was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the Task-Based Learning (TBL) method in enhancing the English language learning outcomes of Great students at SMA YPPGI Sinakma, Wamena, Papua Pegunungan.… unungan. The study employed a quantitative approach, utilising a pre-experimental design featuring a one-group pre-test and post-test model. A total of 30 students were selected as the sample through purposive sampling. Data collection instruments included pre-tests, post-tests, classroom observations, and student questionnaires. The findings indicated that the Task-Based Learning method significantly enhanced students’ English proficiency. The average pre-test score of 58.2 rose to 78.6 in the post-test, reflecting an overall mean improvement of 20.4 points. Statistical analysis via a sample t-test confirmed a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results at the 0.05 significance level. Furthermore, observational and questionnaire data revealed that students exhibited increased motivation, confidence, and active engagement during the learning process. The results demonstrate that Task-Based Learning effectively promotes students’ English learning by fostering meaningful communication, collaboration, and practical language use. Consequently, it can be concluded that the TBL method is a suitable and effective teaching strategy for enhancing English proficiency among high school students, particularly in remote learning contexts such as SMA YPPGI Sinakma Wamena.
