POPULATION DYNAMICS AND THE CHALLENGES OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Andi Jalal Al Afgan, Supriadi Torro
Abstract: This study aims to analyze population dynamics and the challenges of sustainable development in Indonesia from a social, economic, and environmental perspective. Population dynamics, including population growth, urbanization,… tion, internal migration, and changes in demographic structure, have become determining factors in the success of development. The method used is a qualitative approach with a literature review sourced from official documents, scientific journals, and reports from international institutions. The results show that rapid population growth and uncontrolled urbanization have led to spatial inequality, reduced green open space, pressure on public infrastructure, and increased environmental degradation. Furthermore, unpreparedness in spatial planning and weak integration of population data into development policies exacerbate socio-economic imbalances between regions. The shift in demographic structure toward a predominance of the productive age group presents the opportunity for a demographic bonus, but also the risk of a demographic burden if not balanced by improvements in the quality of human resources. This study emphasizes that successful sustainable development requires data-driven, gender-equitable, environmentally friendly, and participatory population policies. The integration of technologies such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and spatial analysis is a strategic step in realizing inclusive, adaptive, and sustainable development for future generations.

The research population consists of Indonesian individuals aged 17–40 years (Generation Z and Millennials) who are BCA customers and have been exposed to the “Don’t Know Kasih No.!” advertisement. The sample size was determined using Cochran’s formula, resulting in a minimum of 100 respondents, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using an online questionnaire developed based on a five-point Likert scale containing 47 statement items. Data analysis was conducted using SmartPLS 4.0 to evaluate validity, reliability, and structural hypothesis testing.

Victorson Taruh, Nurharyati Panigoro, Sisna Meamogu, Yusuf Abdul Wahid
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the differences in the financial performance of PT MAP Boga Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPB) before and after the consumer boycott campaign in the 2022–2024 period. The boycott campaign triggered by global… bal geopolitical issues has an impact on the decline of the company's social legitimacy, thus affecting profitability and financial stability. The research method uses a descriptive quantitative approach through the analysis of annual financial statements processed using profitability ratios. The results show a significant downward trend in the entire profitability ratio from 2022 to 2024. In 2022, the entire ratio was in a positive condition, but declined sharply in 2023 and turned negative in 2024; NPM from 4.26% to −4.53%, ROA from 5.67% to −4.93%, ROE from 12.45% to −9.45%, and ROI from 8.37% to −4.87%. Robi Latansa, Putu Nina Madiawati, Mahir Pradana
Abstract: This study investigates how Word of Mouth, service quality, and brand image influence B2B customer loyalty at As-Syifaa Pharmacy in Majalengka, with customer satisfaction acting as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach… proach was applied using the SEM-PLS method, drawing on data from 300 purposively selected customers. The analysis included measurement of validity and reliability, followed by structural model testing to identify both direct and indirect relationships among variables. The findings reveal that Word of Mouth, service quality, and brand image each play a meaningful role in enhancing customer satisfaction, which in turn becomes the strongest predictor of customer loyalty. Satisfaction was also found to mediate the effects of the three antecedent variables, either fully or partially, highlighting its central role in shaping long-term business relationships. These results indicate that building B2B customer loyalty requires more than consistent operational performance; it also depends on maintaining a credible brand reputation and fostering positive relational communication within the business network. Based on these insights, the study recommends strengthening service standards, reinforcing brand consistency, and managing interpersonal communication to support sustainable loyalty among B2B partners.

Lenny Kurnia Octaviani, Sugiarto, Tonny Hendratono, D. Rudi Susanto
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the influence of multi-stakeholder collaboration on the resilience of tourism activities and to examine the mediating role of sustainable tourism management within a community-based tourism village… lage context. A quantitative explanatory research design was employed, using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The research was conducted in Nglanggeran Tourism Village, Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia, with data collection carried out in 2025. A total of 90 respondents were selected through purposive sampling based on their active involvement in village tourism activities. The three main constructs, namely multi-stakeholder collaboration, sustainable tourism management, and tourism activity resilience, were measured using a 5-point Likert scale instrument. PLS-SEM analysis was employed to evaluate the measurement and structural models, encompassing assessments of validity, reliability, R², Q², and hypothesis testing via bootstrapping. Findings indicate that multi-stakeholder collaboration has a positive and significant effect on both sustainable tourism management and tourism activity resilience. Sustainable tourism management also shows a positive and considerable influence on tourism activity resilience. Furthermore, a partial mediation effect was identified, wherein sustainable tourism management strengthens the impact of multi-stakeholder collaboration on the strength of tourism activities. Structured and inclusive multi-stakeholder collaboration, when integrated with sustainable tourism management practices, enhances the resilience of tourism activities in community-based destinations. These results underscore the crucial importance of collaborative governance and sustainable management practices in fostering destination sustainability and resilience.

SELF-MANAGEMENT AND WORK READINESS AMONG BACHELOR’S DEGREE FRESH GRADUATES

utami, Narastri insan, Siti Yuliany
Abstract: A graduate is generally expected to possess stronger competencies than a non-graduate, particularly at the undergraduate level, where higher education should foster greater competitiveness and work readiness to meet industry… stry standards. However, many fresh graduates report feeling unprepared to enter the workforce, and employers frequently perceive them as lacking essential readiness for work. This study aims to examine the relationship between self-management and work readiness among fresh graduates of undergraduate programs. The proposed hypothesis states that there is a positive relationship between self-management and work readiness. The study involved 120 fresh graduate participants. Research data were collected using the Work Readiness Scale (reliability coefficient = 0.883) and the Self-Management Scale (reliability coefficient = 0.900). Data analysis was conducted using the Product Moment correlation technique. The results show a correlation coefficient of r = 0.846 with p = 0.000 (p < 0.050), indicating a significant positive relationship between self-management and work readiness among fresh graduate undergraduate students.

This study aims to examine the description of principal leadership, internal communication, and teacher performance at SMK Negeri 1 Majalengka, as well as to analyze the influence of principal leadership on teacher performance, the influence of internal communication on teacher performance, and the influence of both variables on teacher performance. Thus, this research not only describes the actual conditions but also tests the relationships between the variables under study. The research employed descriptive and correlational methods. The study population consisted of all 141 teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Majalengka. The sample was determined using the Slovin formula, resulting in 104 respondents selected through proportional sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire that had undergone validity and reliability testing. Data analysis was carried out to determine the strength of the relationships between variables and to test the research hypotheses. The results indicate that principal leadership falls into the very competent category, internal communication is carried out high effectively, and teacher performance is categorized as very high. Correlational analysis findings show that principal leadership (X₁) has a significant influence on teacher performance, and internal communication (X₂) also has a significant influence on teacher performance.
