teachings. Akidah involves a profound belief in the One and Only God, Allah SWT, while akhlak reflects a person’s behavior towards God and fellow human beings. Education focused on these aspects helps create well-rounded students who possess not only intellectual capabilities but also strong moral values, empathy, and the ability to contribute positively to society. However, the rise of globalization and technological advancements, particularly through social media, presents challenges in preserving Islamic values in education. These external influences can expose students to ideologies and behaviors that conflict with Islamic principles. Historical Islamic figures, including the Prophets, have exemplified the correct practice of akidah and akhlak, setting an example for current generations. The Quran and Hadith emphasize the importance of adhering to moral values and avoiding negative behaviors. As such, integrating akidah and akhlak in the PAI curriculum is vital for developing students' character and integrity. This study aims to explore how moral education can shape the character of students by focusing on akidah and akhlak, and how this integration can create a generation that is responsible, principled, and capable of thriving in a complex and diverse world. By enhancing akidah and akhlak education, this study seeks to contribute to the improvement of educational policies and the development of morally grounded individuals in Indonesian society.

Nilai-nilai ini disampaikan melalui cerita pendek yang mudah dipahami anak-anak. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with content analysis of selected stories texts, namely 9 out of 30 Dongeng Sebelum Tidur untuk Anak Muslim (Bedtime Stories for Muslim Children) by Kidh Hidayat and MB. Rahimsyah. The analysis focuses on aesthetic aspects such as narrative structure and style of language as well as Islamic ethical aspects such as moral values of honesty, empathy, and responsibility. The results of the study indicate that the stories present an aesthetically pleasing narrative with communicative language, effectively capturing children's attention while facilitating understanding of the moral messages. Islamic ethical values are implicitly embedded in the plot and characters, making them an effective medium for character education. This study recommends the utilization of Islamic stories as religious literacy materials to support values-based learning in elementary schools.

This study aims to theoretically examine the concept of spiritual dynamics and its implications for enhancing the moral intelligence and spirituality of elementary school (SD/MI) students. Spiritual dynamics are understood as the developmental process of the soul influenced by both internal and external factors in a child's life. Using the library research method, this study analyzes various theories from Islamic education, child development psychology, and spirituality in education. The findings reveal that fostering spiritual dynamics through religious value habituation, teacher role modeling, and a supportive educational environment significantly contributes to the formation of students' moral and spiritual intelligence. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating spiritual development programs into the curriculum and daily activities in SD/MI to create a generation with noble character and high spiritual intelligence.

Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan kurikulum yang mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Al-Qur'an berkontribusi pada pembentukan moral peserta didik. This paper examines the ethics of Ibn Miskawayh, a 10th-century Muslim philosopher, specifically the concept of hifz al-nasl (preservation of lineage) as one of the five maqasid al-shari’a (Islamic principles), to address this issue. Hifz al-nasl emphasizes the protection of human lineage, including family honor, women’s dignity, and social integrity, which are relevant to the psychological damage, trauma, and moral degradation caused by deepfakes. Through an analysis of the texts Tahdhib al-Akhlaq and Al-Fauz al-Asghar, this concept is outlined as a preventive and curative principle: prevention through strengthening individual morals and regulating technology, and treatment through restorative justice. Ibn Miskawayh combines Aristotelian philosophy with Islam, making hifz al-nasl a collective obligation to maintain the balance of the soul (nafs) and society. Its applications to deepfakes include: (1) ethical use of AI based on piety and ‘adl; (2) legal regulations that protect privacy as an extension of preserving lineage; and (3) moral education to build digital resilience. This study concludes that Ibn Miskawaih’s approach offers a holistic framework, integrating spiritual, ethical, and legal dimensions, that is more adaptive than technological solutions alone. Recommendations include the development of contemporary fatwas and ethical AI platforms for the digital age.

ies in the limited availability of teaching materials that systematically integrate religious moderation values, whereas such values are crucial in shaping students’ character to become faithful, virtuous, and tolerant individuals in a pluralistic society. The research method employed is Research and Development (R&D), adopting the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects of the trial involved material experts, media experts, Islamic Education teachers, and grade XI students. The research instruments included validation questionnaires, practicality questionnaires, and learning achievement tests. The collected data were analyzed using both quantitative descriptive and qualitative methods. The results indicate that the developed IRE teaching materials based on religious moderation are highly valid, with an average validity percentage of 89.58%. In terms of practicality, both teachers and students responded positively, categorizing the product as very practical and easy to use in the learning process. Regarding effectiveness, the use of these teaching materials successfully improved students’ learning outcomes, shown by the N-Gain score categorized as moderate, with 100% learning mastery achieved during the field trial. Therefore, this development contributes significantly to providing relevant, innovative, and contextual teaching media. The teaching materials not only facilitate cognitive competency achievement but also instill the values of religious moderation oriented toward strengthening faith, cultivating morality, and fostering tolerance, justice, and balance. This study is expected to serve as an alternative solution for curriculum development in Islamic Religious Education at the secondary level and as a reference for teachers in creating more meaningful learning

aphysical dimensions of Islam—such as the concept of divinity (uluhiyah), the nature of humanity, the unseen world, the purpose of creation, and the spiritual relationship with Allah—which are in fact the foundation of the meaning and intrinsic motivation of all religious teachings. Without the internalisation of these metaphysical values, religious education risks becoming formalistic and unable to respond to existential challenges and spiritual crises amid the onslaught of materialism and secularisation in the modern world. This article aims to analyse the urgency and strategies for internalising metaphysical values within the framework of contemporary Islamic Religious Education, as well as to formulate an approach model relevant to the modern era. This study uses a qualitative method with a philosophical-analytical library research approach. Data were collected from primary sources such as the Qur'an, Hadith, and the works of classical and contemporary Islamic thinkers on education and metaphysics. The analysis was conducted hermeneutically and deductively to develop a conceptual framework. The analysis shows that the internalisation of metaphysical values in PAI is crucial for: (1) building a holistic Islamic worldview, (2) developing a deep spiritual awareness (ihsan), (3) providing a solid moral foundation that transcends positive law, and (4) creating mental-spiritual resilience in facing modern complexities. To achieve this, it is necessary to reorient the PAI curriculum to integrate metaphysical elements through an interdisciplinary approach (linking it to science, psychology, and philosophy), reflective and contemplative learning methods (such as tadabbur and tafakkur), and the use of digital technology as a medium for creative spiritual exploration.

This study aims to examine how digital literacy is positioned, perceived, and implemented in the learning process at Pesantren Ar-Raudlatul Hasanah as one of Indonesia’s modern pesantren. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation of classroom practices and pesantren activities, and analysis of institutional documents. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify relevant patterns and key themes. The findings reveal that digital literacy in the pesantren is positioned primarily as a learning resource mediated by teachers rather than as an individual competence freely accessible to students. Teachers’ perceptions of digital literacy are reflective and selective, shaped by moral and scholarly responsibility, concern for students’ ethical conduct (adab), and apprehension regarding the negative impacts of the digital environment. In terms of implementation, digital literacy is applied in a limited and functional manner through teachers’ use of digital learning media, basic computer courses for students, cultural and extracurricular pesantren activities, and the digitalization of institutional administrative systems. This study concludes that the pesantren has developed a contextual and ethically grounded model of digital literacy, in which technology functions as a supportive educational tool without displacing core values, scholarly authority, or the primary goal of students’ character formation. Catholic values have been deeply inculturated into indigenous traditions and customary practices. This qualitative research aims to formulate a model of character education that remains firmly rooted in local cultural foundations (indigenous knowledge) rather than being detached from them. The findings indicate that local concepts such as Moat Gede (Sikka), Suu/Woe (Ngada/Ende), and Loke Nggerang (Manggarai) can function as effective instruments for cultivating noble moral character. The study concludes that the formation of youth character in NTT will achieve optimal outcomes when educational institutions are able to carry out a meaningful “reconciliation” between religious dogma, the formal curriculum, and customary ethical values.
