Principals who are far from democratic values such as deliberation or expressing opinions, Public Junior High Schools in Merauke are less able to control subordinates. This study aims to analyze the implementation of quality-based democratic leadership by Public Junior High School principals in Merauke Regency and identify supporting and inhibiting factors. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach with primary data sources in the form of in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation in five Public Junior High Schools in Merauke, as well as secondary data in the form of archives and educational regulations. The results show that a quality-based democratic leadership style can create a collaborative work climate that improves teacher performance and the quality of educational services, if balanced with effective coordination, continuous motivation, and transparency in decision-making. However, obstacles were also found in the form of a lack of firmness of leaders in enforcing discipline, weak consistency in providing examples, and the influence of local culture that gives rise to personal sentiments. Supporting factors include active teacher involvement in school program planning, support from local government policies, and school accreditation that encourages quality improvement. The conclusion of this study is that democratic leadership of quality-oriented school principals is effectively implemented if accompanied by increased managerial competence, strengthening the role of the school principal as a motivator, and a commitment to transparency and professionalism.

Mabel , Piter, Halitopo, Manase, Yikwa, Pemius
Abstract: The objective of this research was to find out if using the poster may improve the students' English vocabulary at SMA YPPK St. Thomas Wamena. With a one-group pre- and post-test, this study used an experimental design.… The research instrument utilized the matching method, in which students were required to match pictures with the corresponding vocabulary items. The study was conducted at SMA YPPK St. Thomas Wamena, selecting the seventh-grade students as the population for the 2025/2026 academic year. The researcher applied a cluster sampling technique and selected 30 students as the research sample. Pre- and post-tests were given in order to gather data. Before and after the treatment, students' initial vocabulary mastery was measured with a pre-test, and their performance was evaluated with a post-test. The independent variable in this study was the use of posters, whereas the dependent variable was students’ vocabulary achievement. The findings of the data analysis of the students' vocabulary knowledge in the pre- and post-tests revealed that the t-test value was 17.40 and the t-table value was 2.045. Students' vocabulary competence improved significantly, as evidenced by the t-test value being greater than the t-table value (17.40 > 2.045). This result implies that the pre- and post-test results varied significantly.

THE ROLE OF PSYCHOLOGICAL CAPITAL AS A PREDICTOR OF NURSES' ORGANIZATIONAL CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIOR IN REGIONAL HOSPITALS

Yuliani, Eka
Abstract: Nurses, as the frontline of healthcare services, are expected to deliver optimal performance that frequently goes beyond their formal duties, thus requiring robust psychological capital to support voluntary work behaviors… s known as Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). This study aims to analyze the effect of Psychological Capital (PsyCap), which comprises hope, efficacy, resilience, and optimism, on nurses' OCB in regional hospitals and to identify the most dominant dimension influencing OCB. Employing a quantitative correlational approach, this research collected primary data through structured questionnaires distributed to nurses as respondents. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, multiple regression analysis, and moderated regression analysis to test variable relationships and the moderating effects of demographic factors. The results indicate that the levels of PsyCap and OCB among nurses are relatively high, with resilience emerging as the most significant predictor of OCB. These findings strengthen the position of PsyCap as an essential psychological resource that fosters prosocial behaviors among nurses, especially in regional hospitals often challenged by limited human resources. The implications suggest that hospital management should design PsyCap enhancement programs, focusing particularly on strengthening nurses' mental resilience to sustainably improve healthcare service quality. This study also contributes theoretically by enriching the literature on organizational behavior within the Indonesian healthcare sector.

ANALYSIS OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY PERFORMANCE USING THE MEMBERSHIP FUNCTION (MF) METHOD IN A FUZZY LOGIC CONTROL SYSTEM FOR RESIDENTIAL SPLIT AIR CONDITIONERS (AC)

Susilo, Susilo, Lalay, Ario Azadi
Abstract: A fuzzy logic-based control system in household split-type air conditioners (AC) offers an alternative approach to reducing excess energy consumption without compromising thermal comfort. This study aims to test the effectiveness… ctiveness of three types of membership functions (MF), namely triangular, trapezoidal, and Gaussian, in improving energy efficiency and the stability of room temperature and humidity control. Simulations were performed using MATLAB software with the Mamdani fuzzy inference method and centroid defuzzification technique. The three MF were tested using 30 sets of temperature and humidity data to analyze their effect on fan speed and power consumption. The simulation results show that the trapezoidal MF provides the highest energy efficiency of 57.24%, followed by the Gaussian MF at 56.80% and the triangular MF at 53.71%. These findings indicate that fuzzy systems can significantly reduce energy consumption compared to conventional air conditioner controllers. This research is expected to serve as a reference in the development of more energy-efficient intelligent control systems.

OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY AS A MODERATOR OF THE IMPACT OF ENVIRONMENTAL, SOCIAL, AND GOVERNANCE (ESG) ON FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE: AN EMPIRICAL STUDY OF NON-FINANCIAL COMPANIES LISTED ON THE INDONESIA STOCK EXCHANGE FROM 2014 TO 2023

Khanif Nur Fathurohman, Gatot Nizar Ahmad, Agung Dharmawan Buchdadi
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the influence of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) on the company's financial performance, as well as test the role of operational efficiency as a moderation variable in this relationship.… ship. The research object includes non-financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2014–2023. ESG variables are measured using Bloomberg's ESG score which includes environmental, social, and governance dimensions, while operational efficiency is proxied by the Total Asset Turnover ratio. Financial performance is proxied by Return on Assets. The research method uses a quantitative approach with panel data regression analysis. The research sample consisted of 80 companies with a total of 711 observations. The results of the study show that ESG has a significant negative effect on financial performance. However, operational efficiency has been shown to play a role as a moderation variable that strengthens the relationship between ESG and financial performance. This research makes a theoretical contribution by enriching the literature on the relationship between ESG and financial performance, especially in the context of emerging markets. From a practical perspective, the results indicate that the implementation of ESG will only create financial value if integrated with internal efficiency strategies. Thus, companies are advised to not only focus on compliance with ESG aspects, but also ensure efficient management of resources to increase long-term profitability.
