Abstract:Aceh is part of Indonesia’s archipelagic region and stands as the initial landing place of Islam. Situated on the western coast of Sumatra Island, this region played host to the peaceful introduction of Islam through Arab…
rab traders. The Islamization process, guided by a tasawwuf approach, unfolded smoothly, making it easy for the people of Aceh to embrace the Islamic faith. This underscores the significant role played by the tasawwuf approach and tariqa in the Islamization process. Consequently, the prevailing Islamic thought embraced by the community is infused with the practices of tasawwuf. Tariqa, etymologically meaning a method of practice to achieve a goal, has witnessed a notable increase in its development within the Islamic community. In Sufi terminology, “tariqa” is a form of spiritual practice and soul training aimed at attaining haqiqa (the essence) and ma'rifa (gnosis). These practices and exercises are guided by a spiritual teacher known as a “mursyid” (guide) because the journey between Sharia and haqiqa, according to Sufi scholars, must traverse seven great mountains. Islam significantly influences the way of life in Aceh society, with its people adhering firmly and with a commitment to religious teachings. In essence, Islam is a way of life for the people of Aceh. Over time, Acehnese society has changed its outlook on life. Some individuals practice specific tariqa to draw closer to the Creator. Tariqas such as Qadiriyya, Shattariyya, and Naqshbandiyya are among those that have developed in Indonesia. Engaging in the practices of these tariqas will influence the behavioral patterns of society. Moreover, the religious understanding among the community will change. In other words, the evolving tariqa brings a distinctive spiritual enthusiasm to the religious life of Acehnese society.
Abstract:This study aims to reveal the relationship between the values contained in the Qur'an and the traditional practice of dowry (mahr) giving, viewed from both religious and cultural perspectives. Using a qualitative approach…
h based on the textual analysis of Qur'anic verses and in-depth interviews with experts in religious studies and cultural anthropology, this research integrates the frameworks of maqasid al-sharia and cultural anthropology theory to analyze the historical and contemporary transformation of dowry practices. The study also explores the symbolic meaning of dowry, not merely as an obligation but as a form of recognition of women's dignity and rights within the family. Furthermore, it examines the socio-economic factors influencing the amount of dowry and how these factors affect social structures and gender relations within society. In addition, comparisons are made with dowry practices in various other cultures and religions, enabling a deeper understanding of both the unique and shared aspects of universal human values. This comprehensive analysis seeks to provide new insights and a concrete contribution to contemporary discussions on the role of religion in social and cultural life, as well as the challenges of integrating tradition with the needs of modern society. The findings indicate that the practice of dowry giving, as prescribed in the Qur'anic verses, possesses profound normative and strategic values in ensuring justice and social balance within the family structure. Every element of the dowry is not merely symbolic but also embodies meanings that reflect responsibility, respect, and commitment in married life. Over time, the understanding and implementation of this tradition have undergone significant changes, influenced by evolving social, economic, and cultural conditions. This highlights the importance of not only preserving the tradition but also adapting it to meet the demands of contemporary society.
Abstract:This study aims to develop a technically compliant and economically feasible design for a Restricted Security Area (RSA) perimeter fence surrounding Substation 7, the Chiller facility, and the Ground Water Tank (GWT) at…
Kertajati International Airport. These facilities constitute critical operational infrastructure supporting electricity distribution, terminal cooling systems, and water supply, including fire suppression reserves. Field observations identified the absence of a regulation-compliant perimeter protection system, exposing the utility cluster to unauthorized access and operational risk. The research employed a quantitative descriptive–analytical approach integrating field measurement, engineering design modeling, volume computation, and cost estimation based on the 2024 Majalengka Regional Standard Unit Price. Technical evaluation referred to national aviation security regulations and ICAO Annex 17 principles. A BRC (British Reinforced Concrete) fence system with a total height of 3.20 meters (2.40 m fence body and 0.80 m concertina wire) was proposed. The structural configuration includes reinforced concrete isolated footings, tie beams (sloof), and a bottom plinth beam to ensure lateral stability and anti-climb resistance. The total perimeter length of 313.74 meters ensures complete enclosure of the critical facilities. The estimated total project cost amounts to IDR 509,553,000.00, including VAT. The results demonstrate that the proposed design is structurally reliable, regulation-compliant, and economically justified within a risk mitigation framework. The study contributes a replicable engineering and financial planning model for strengthening airport critical infrastructure protection and enhancing long-term operational resilience.

Abstract:The This study is based on the phenomenon of increasing investment losses and FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) in Indonesia, with illegal investment losses amounting to IDR 139 trillion and FOMO among young people rising to 80%…
% by 2024. This trend aligns with the growing number of investors and digital literacy in Indonesia, particularly in Java, which has the highest concentration of investors. The large population of Generations Y and Z in West Java serves as the subject of this research, highlighting the gap between financial literacy (56.10%) and financial inclusion (88.31%). This reinforces the urgency of this study. Information disclosure is considered crucial in reducing information asymmetry and managing risk in investment decision-making. The main objective of this study is to examine the direct and indirect effects of digital literacy, financial literacy, gender, and FOMO on stock investment decisions, as well as to test the role of information disclosure. A quantitative approach is used, with a questionnaire distributed to 443 respondents from Generations Y and Z in West Java, all of whom have investment experience in stocks. The purposive sampling technique was used, and data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to test model validity, reliability, and relationships between variables. The results show that digital literacy, financial literacy, gender, and FOMO significantly affect stock investment decisions. Information disclosure mediates the relationship between financial literacy, gender, and FOMO on investment decisions but does not mediate the relationship between digital literacy and investment decisions. Furthermore, information disclosure positively influences stock investment decisions, emphasizing the importance of transparency. This study contributes to the development of a theoretical model that highlights the role of market discipline through information disclosure. Practically, the findings can guide OJK and companies in designing digital-financial literacy programs and improving information transparency to prevent investment fraud and increase investor confidence. The study suggests that investors should enhance their understanding of investment risks and critically assess available information. Limitations include the focus on Generations Y and Z in West Java using purposive sampling, and the exclusion of other factors like education. The self-report quantitative method may lead to bias, and cross-sectional data does not capture changes in investment behavior over time. Future research is recommended to expand the demographic sample, include additional variables, and use a mixed-method approach for more comprehensive results.
Abstract:One of the steps in the tyre manufacturing process is the Tyre Building Machine. The tread is the last component to be fitted to the tyre carcass after all other components have been installed. When measuring the length…
of the pre-adjusted tread, errors or variations often occur in the measurements taken by the measuring device due to its lack of accuracy. This prevents operators from using the tyre tread and can result in a large amount of scrap and wasted time during the tyre manufacturing process. To overcome this problem, a redesigned tread length measurement system with a higher level of accuracy was created to minimise tread length fluctuations during tyre manufacturing. The results of the tread length measurement procedure using the ENC-1-1-24-N type rotary encoder can function according to the program created. This is validated by the tread length measurement data. The results of the HMI display design and the software created can operate according to the desired instructions. To change the tread length, the operator only needs to enter the number on the HMI panel.
