ious formation as an effort to shape changes in behavior, spiritual awareness and morals of inmates while serving their sentence. The research method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data was obtained through observation, interviews and documentation of development officers, spiritual mentors and inmates. The research results show that the Islamic spiritual guidance model is implemented through religious lectures, learning to read the Koran, Islamic studies, congregational prayers, dhikr, and daily moral development. Guidanceis carried out on a scheduled basis and involves cooperation between correctional institutions and religious leaders. Islamic spiritual guidance has a positive influence on changes in the attitudes and behavior of inmates, such as increasing discipline, awareness of worship, mutual respect, and decreasing deviant behavior in the correctional environment. Supporting factors in implementing this program include support from officers and enthusiasm of the inmates, while inhibiting factors are limited facilities and a lack of spiritual mentors.

This article aims to describe the implementation of Islamic Guidance and Counseling services to strengthen the mental and spiritual health of patients at Padangsidimpuan Indonesian National Armed Forces Hospital. Services provided include spiritual guidance, religious motivation, prayer guidance, individual counseling, and emotional support for patients and their families. Through an Islamic approach, counselors strive to help patients increase their patience, sincerity, optimism, and inner peace in facing their illness and treatment. The results of the service implementation indicate that Islamic Guidance and Counseling contribute positively to patients' psychological and spiritual well-being. Patients who receive support tend to have a better zest for life, lower anxiety levels, and a stronger ability to accept and cope with their health conditions. Furthermore, spiritual guidance activities also help patients maintain their religious practices during treatment, providing a sense of comfort and increasing hope for recovery. The presence of Islamic Guidance and Counseling services in hospitals not only complements existing healthcare services but also plays a crucial role in achieving holistic and humane care. Therefore, strengthening these services requires continued development to optimally support patients' mental and spiritual well-being and improve the overall quality of healthcare.

nyata dari pengabdian masyarakat adalah kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Lapangan (KKL) yang wajib diikuti oleh mahasiswa sebagai bagian dari proses pembelajaran kontekstual di luar kelas. Universitas Graha Nusantara (UGN) Padangsidimpuan berkomitmen mengoptimalkan KKL sebagai sarana pengembangan kompetensi akademik dan sosial mahasiswa melalui keterlibatan langsung di tengah masyarakat. Pada tahun 2024, kegiatan KKL dilaksanakan di Desa Siamporik Lombang, Kecamatan Angkola Selatan, Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Dengan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang dikombinasikan dengan prinsip service learning, mahasiswa dari berbagai program studi melaksanakan program lintas bidang, meliputi pendidikan, pertanian, ekonomi, sosial-politik, dan teknik. Kegiatan-kegiatan ini mencakup peningkatan literasi anak, inovasi pertanian berbasis sumber daya lokal, pelatihan ekonomi kreatif, pendataan kependudukan, serta perbaikan infrastruktur dan pengenalan teknologi edukatif. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan partisipatif efektif mendorong keterlibatan aktif masyarakat dan penguatan kapasitas mahasiswa sebagai agen perubahan. Mahasiswa tidak hanya menerapkan ilmu yang diperoleh di bangku kuliah, tetapi juga mengembangkan empati, kepemimpinan, serta kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kolaboratif. Pelaksanaan KKL ini menegaskan bahwa perguruan tinggi mampu berkontribusi secara konkret terhadap pembangunan masyarakat melalui model pengabdian yang kolaboratif dan transformatif. Harapannya, model ini dapat direplikasi di wilayah lain untuk mendorong masyarakat yang mandiri dan berdaya.

Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII, sedangkan sampel penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas unggulan dan kelas non unggulan yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi nilai rapor siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan uji Independent Sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata prestasi belajar siswa kelas unggulan lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas non unggulan. Nilai rata-rata siswa kelas unggulan sebesar 87,5, sedangkan kelas non unggulan sebesar 78,3. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pengelompokan kelas unggulan dan non unggulan terhadap prestasi siswa di SMP Negeri 6 Padangsidimpuan. Pengelompokan kelas memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa, khususnya pada kelas unggulan yang memiliki lingkungan belajar lebih kompetitif dan kondusif. Namun demikian, sekolah tetap perlu memperhatikan pemerataan kualitas pembelajaran agar tidak terjadi kesenjangan antarsiswa.

ion of the CLL model, and (3) whether there is a significant effect of the CLL model on students’ speaking competence. The population of this study consisted of 248 tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan. Using systematic sampling, a total of 35 students were selected as the sample. This research employed an experimental method. Data were collected through observation and speaking tests, and the results were analyzed using a paired-sample t-test. The findings revealed that the application of the CLL model on students’ speaking ability scored 3.6, categorized as “Very Good”. The students’ mean speaking score before the implementation of CLL was 78.51 (“Good”), which increased to 83.42 (“Very Good”) after the treatment. The t-test calculation yielded a t-value of 7.15, which exceeds the critical t-value of 2.03 at a 5% significance level (df = 35). Therefore, it is concluded that there is a statistically significant effect of the Community Language Learning model on students’ speaking competence among tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan.

The population consisted of 124 tenth-grade students, and a systematic sampling procedure yielded a sample of 27 students. The study used an experimental design; data were collected with observation sheets and writing tests. The mean score after applying the group résumé method was 3.5, which falls into the “Very Good” category according to the study’s scoring criteria. A t-test was used to analyze the results: tcomputed = 6.73, while ttable = 2.06. Because ttest> ttable, the findings indicate that the group résumé method had a statistically significant positive effect on students’ recount writing ability.

could significantly improve students’ writing performance, especially in writing descriptive text. The study employed a pre-experimental design with one group pre-test and post-test. The sample consisted of 20 eleventh-grade students selected from SMA Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan. The data were collected through writing composition tests and observation during the learning process. The results showed that the students’ writing performance improved after being taught through Word Wall media. The mean score of the pre-test was lower than the post-test mean score, indicating a positive effect of the treatment. The hypothesis test also showed that the use of Word Wall media had a significant impact on students’ writing skills. It can be concluded that technology-enhanced Word Wall media is effective in supporting students’ writing development and creating more interactive and engaging EFL learning.

ck of teacher motivation, minimal professional training, and suboptimal communication between leaders and staff are factors that hinder performance improvement. Therefore, adaptive and innovative leadership strategies are needed to create a conducive work environment and encourage improvements in the quality of education. Methodology: This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection methods through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies at MTsN 1, MTsN 2, and MTsN Preparatory State Islamic Junior High School 3. Padangsidimpuan. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study showed that the madrasah principal implemented eight main strategies in building effective leadership to improve teacher performance; (1). Coaching strategy, through training, individual mentoring, and Professional Learning Community (PLC). (2). Supervision strategy, based on participatory academic supervision and constructive feedback. (3). Motivation strategy, through verbal appreciation, emotional support, and professional development. (4). Reward strategy in the form of certificates, incentives, and additional task trust. (5). Discipline strengthening strategy with a systemic, restorative approach, and based on a collective work culture. (6). Family gathering strategy to build emotional bonds and social capital in the madrasah environment. (7). Structured academic supervision strategy through a cycle Collaborative planning, observation, and reflection. (8) Lesson Study strategy as a vehicle for developing distributive leadership and improving the quality of learning. Effective leadership of madrasah principals is built through a holistic approach that integrates administrative, pedagogical, and relational aspects. The implemented strategy has proven significant in improving teacher performance through increased competence, motivation, collaboration, and a positive work culture. This study recommends the need to strengthen teacher development programs and leadership training based on Islamic values for the sustainable improvement of educational quality in madrasahs.

This approach is important in preserving the scholarly tradition of fiqh, but in practice it often does not encourage students to understand the legal objectives and social implications of fiqh provisions. This study aims to analyze how the maqāṣid syariah reasoning approach can be applied in the teaching of fiqh munakahat and how this approach influences the students' way of thinking. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design conducted at the Al-Ansor Islamic Boarding School in Padangsidimpuan. Data were collected through observation of the learning process in the classroom, discussions with students, and reflections from teachers during the field study. The results of the study show a shift in the students' way of thinking from a textual understanding of the law to a more reflective understanding, taking into account the social context and objectives of sharia. This research contributes by offering a more contextual, reflective, and relevant model of fiqh munakahat learning for the challenges of contemporary Muslim family life.
