tion, a place to share problems, and motivation. However, problems within romantic relationships, such as lack of communication, dishonesty, betrayal, and lack of family approval, can also become sources of emotional and psychological pressure. This study aims to describe the dynamics of romantic relationships and their impact on the mental health of UIN Palopo students. This study employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The informants consisted of four UIN Palopo students selected using purposive sampling. The informants consisted of one male student and three female students from the Islamic Guidance and Counseling, Islamic Religious Education, and Islamic Education Management study programs, all of whom were eighth-semester students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the dynamics of romantic relationships experienced by students developed through several stages, namely introduction, emotional closeness, commitment, conflict, and the end of the relationship. Communication, attention, trust, openness, and emotional attachment were important elements in the development and maintenance of relationships. Romantic relationships had positive impacts in the form of emotional support, comfort, attention, a place to share stories and problems, and increased motivation. Meanwhile, negative impacts included sadness, disappointment, feelings of loss, stress, anxiety, frustration, mood changes, difficulty regulating emotions, decreased appetite, loss of motivation, and reduced social interaction. Thus, romantic relationships can have both positive and negative impacts on students' mental health depending on the dynamics and experiences that occur within the relationship.
Abstract:This study is motivated by a fundamental problem concerning how the character-education values contained in the book of Akhlāq Lil Banīn can be implemented consistently and meaningfully within Arabic language learning, amid…
amid an intense schedule, a diversity of methods, and the gap between the readiness of learners and educators in the boarding environment. This study aims to analyze and describe the implementation of character-education values from the book of Akhlāq Lil Banīn in Arabic language learning activities at the MBS Al Mujahidin Islamic Boarding School, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. The method used is qualitative, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation; informants were selected by purposive sampling, and data analysis comprised data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the implementation of character values takes place integratively, intensively, and contextually through a combination of formal school activities and non-formal dormitory activities such as mufrodat, hiwar, muhadhoroh, qirā’ah, muḥādatsah, and integrated Arabic learning. These activities not only develop linguistic competence but also serve as a medium for internalizing religious, disciplinary, responsibility, and social-care values through habituation and role modeling. Challenges were also found in the form of differing prior abilities among learners, a dense activity schedule, and the dynamic assignment of educators, all of which affect the absorption and internalization of values. It is concluded that the success of Akhlāq Lil Banīn-based character education depends heavily on pedagogical adaptation, differentiated learning, and management of the activity rhythm.
Abstract:Divorce is a societal problem that affects children, extended families, married couples, and the general social resilience of communities. Local wisdom values, such as siri' na pacce, sipakatau, sipakalebbi, sipakainge,…
and tudang sipulung, stand for respect, empathy, accountability, and thoughtful dispute resolution in Bugis-Makassar society. The goal of this study is to determine how applicable Bugis-Makassar traditional knowledge is to family mediation as a divorce prevention tactic and how it may be updated and revived. This study employed a descriptive design and a qualitative methodology. In-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving couples who had experienced marital discord, as well as traditional leaders, religious leaders, mediators, and family members involved in mediation procedures, were used to collect data. Techniques for data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing were used to analyze the data. The findings indicate that while sipakatau and sipakalebbi improve respect between married couples, siri' na pacce strengthens accountability and empathy. While tudang sipulung provides a deliberative setting for discovering common answers, sipakainge encourages constructive reminders. The findings suggest that the parties' desire to voluntarily embrace the mediation process can be increased by involving traditional authorities, religious leaders, and dependable family members. Reviving these ideals in an adaptive, equitable, and impartial manner might support family mediation. The results of this study show that incorporating local knowledge into family mediation could be beneficial in reducing divorce.
Abstract:Abrogation (abrogation) holds a central, vexed position in Islamic legal-theological hermeneutics. Classical uṣūl al-fiqh elaborated a technical theory of abrogation that attempted to mediate the diachronic process of revelation…
revelation and the demands of fixity of legal judgment (ḥukm). Tradition receipts that later scripture abrogates earlier scripture wherever actual, unavoidable contradiction is found, classically expressed as "al-nāsikh wa-l-mansūkh.". Pre-modern thinkers classified modes and cases of abrogation, inferred them from revelational phases, and counted suspected cases throughout the Qur'an and Sunna. Modern scholarship avoids both epistemic pretensions and hyperbolic earlier assertions of abrogation. The article tracks early meanings, introduces intratraditional caution that moderated abrogation, and evaluates recent re-analyses based on coherence theory, maqāṣid (purposes), historicization in context, and ethics. It argues that abrogation was included in pre-modern dogmatics as a component of a package of other hermeneutical strategies (specification, restriction, prioritization, suspension) and that available resources allow for a less ambitious, economy-of-means approach. A renovated dogma leaner, evidence-based, and syncretized with maqāṣid and semantics can ensure the normativity of revelation and make the law more attentive to modern moral concerns, such as gender justice, religious pluralism, and violence. The paper reaches its climax with the proposal of a "manifest conflict resolution" regime. where abrogation is held in reserve as a last resort and not the initial starting point and has ramification for legal rulings (fatwā), legal codification and education more widely. Abstract:Women engaged in marine product processing play a crucial role in the national fisheries value chain, yet this strategic contribution has not been matched with formal recognition, access to resources, or decent welfare levels.…
evels. This study aims to analyze the influence of religiosity and social factors on the empowerment and welfare of marine product processing women at the National Fisheries Port (PPN) Karangantu, Serang City, Banten, as well as to formulate a development strategy based on the synergy of these two factors. This research employs a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design, combining quantitative methods through PLS-SEM analysis on 235 respondents, and qualitative methods through in-depth interviews and Focus Group Discussions (FGD). The results show that religiosity and social factors have a positive and significant effect on women’s empowerment, which in turn impacts welfare improvement across economic, social, and psychological dimensions. Findings also reveal that religious values which currently focus mainly on ritual aspects, alongside patriarchal social norms, serve as key barriers; meanwhile, community support and the integration of religious values into economic activities act as major reinforcing factors. Based on SWOT analysis, this study proposes strategies for strengthening local value-based institutions, integrating empowerment programs with religious activities, and advocating for policies that support coastal women. This research contributes new insights by presenting an integrated model of religiosity and social dimensions in the empowerment of women in the fisheries sector, an area that has not been widely explored in previous studies.
Abstract:Waste management has become one of the most persistent environmental challenges confronting rapidly growing urban areas in Indonesia. While previous studies have primarily explained waste management through technical infrastructure,…
rastructure, environmental awareness, or public policy, relatively little attention has been given to the interaction between environmental ethics and everyday social practices in shaping environmental behaviour. This study aims to examine how environmental ethics are translated into community waste management practices in Kendari City from the perspective of environmental sociology. A qualitative case study approach was employed using field observations, semi-structured interviews with 30 informants representing community members, religious leaders, community leaders, sanitation workers, and officials from the Kendari City Environmental Agency, as well as document analysis. The data were analysed using thematic analysis and interpreted through the analytical perspectives of Environmental Sociology, Social Practice Theory, Public Sphere Theory, and Political Ecology. The findings reveal that environmental ethics constitute an important normative foundation for environmental responsibility; however, their implementation in everyday waste management practices is mediated by socially embedded habitus, community values, institutional capacity, public discourse, and local governance. Waste management behaviour is therefore shaped not only by individual awareness but also by continuous interactions among social norms, institutional arrangements, and collective practices. The study concludes that sustainable urban waste management requires integrated approaches combining environmental ethics, community participation, participatory governance, and institutional collaboration. By integrating environmental ethics with environmental sociology, this study contributes to a broader understanding of the social dimensions of urban waste management and offers practical insights for strengthening community-based environmental governance in Indonesia.

us challenges that arise from their illness. This article aims to describe the implementation of Islamic Guidance and Counseling services to strengthen the mental and spiritual health of patients at Padangsidimpuan Indonesian National Armed Forces Hospital. Services provided include spiritual guidance, religious motivation, prayer guidance, individual counseling, and emotional support for patients and their families. Through an Islamic approach, counselors strive to help patients increase their patience, sincerity, optimism, and inner peace in facing their illness and treatment. tand the meaning of accountability from a sharia accounting perspective for the managers of Bank Muamalat Ambon. The study used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. The study population was the managers of Bank Muamalat Ambon, while informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique based on experience and involvement in Islamic banking activities. The research instrument was a semi-structured interview guide. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews and analyzed using phenomenological analysis through the stages of transcription, coding, grouping themes, and extracting essential meanings. The results show that sharia accountability is interpreted as a professional, moral, social, and spiritual responsibility manifested through trustworthiness, transparency, sharia compliance, fair service, and supervision. The conclusion of the study confirms that sharia accountability is not only understood as formal reporting, but as an ethical and religious practice carried out in daily work activities.
