Abstract:Congenital hypothyroidism (CH) is an endocrine disorder that can cause developmental delays if not detected and treated early. Congenital Hypothyroidism Screening (CHS) aims to detect abnormal levels of Thyroid Stimulating…
ng Hormone (TSH) in newborns before clinical symptoms appear. The timing of blood sample collection is a critical factor because TSH levels physiologically surge within the first 24 hours of life. This study aims to determine the accuracy of TSH sampling time in CH screening at Prima Medika General Hospital, Denpasar. A descriptive analytical method was used with a total sampling technique involving 105 neonates who underwent CHS from October to December 2024. Secondary data were obtained from laboratory request forms and the Laboratory Information System (LIS). Results showed that 92.4% of samples were collected on the second day of life, which aligns with the ideal window of 48–72 hours, and only 1.9% of neonates had elevated TSH levels. The study concludes that most sample collections met the recommended timing, contributing to valid results and effective CHS implementation. Timely sampling plays a vital role in early CH detection and reflects the overall quality of neonatal laboratory services.
Abstract:Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an endemic disease in Indonesia caused by the dengue virus and transmitted through the bites of Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquitoes. The risk of serious complications primarily…
arises during the critical phase, typically between the 4th and 6th days of fever, during which plasma leakage may occur, leading to shock and severe bleeding. Hematocrit levels and platelet counts are important parameters in the diagnosis and monitoring of DHF patients. This study aimed to determine the differences in hematocrit levels and platelet counts during days 4 to 6 of fever in DHF patients at Prima Medika Hospital Denpasar, in February 2025. This research employed a descriptive quantitative design with purposive sampling, involving 35 patients who met the inclusion criteria. The results showed a decrease in hematocrit levels with averages of 42.8%, 42%, and 41.2%, and platelet counts with averages of 87 x 10³/µL, 59 x 10³/µL, and 47 x 10³/µL from day 4 to day 6 of fever. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, the Friedman non-parametric test for hematocrit levels, and the Repeated Measures ANOVA parametric test for platelet counts. Statistical analysis showed a p-value of 0.002 for hematocrit levels and 0.000 for platelet counts. The conclusion of this study is that there are significant differences in hematocrit levels and platelet counts between days 4 to 6 of fever in DHF patients.

Abstract:This study aims to analyze the management of batik as an educational tourism attraction based on local cultural values in Karanganyar Regency, with an emphasis on the involvement of the five key actors in the Penta Helix…
model—government, academia, business sector, community, and media. Karanganyar possesses rich cultural heritage in the form of batik, which holds significant potential to be developed into an educational tourism destination. However, its current management still faces various challenges. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, using in-depth interviews, field observations, and document studies for data collection. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis, referring to destination management theory (Cooper et al., 2008) and the concept of edu-tourism (Bodger, 1998). The results reveal that the management of batik educational tourism in Karanganyar has not yet been systematically integrated. Key issues identified include: (1) limited human resources with adequate competence, (2) conventional tourism practices, (3) lack of innovation in tourism product packaging, (4) insufficient institutional coordination and support, and (5) underdeveloped integration between cultural and educational tourism. While there is a strong commitment to cultural preservation from local communities and participation from business actors, structural support from the government and optimization of the media’s role require further enhancement. The implication of this research emphasizes the need for strengthened cross-sectoral collaboration through the Penta Helix framework, the formulation of specific policies for educational tourism development, as well as innovations in digital promotion and context-based cultural education curricula. This study is expected to serve as a reference for policymakers, tourism practitioners, and future researchers in promoting sustainable educational tourism rooted in local culture.
Abstract:This study aims to examine and analyze communication patterns between teachers and students in the teaching and learning process at SMK Islamic Center Baiturrahman. Communication between teachers and students plays a crucial…
cial role in creating an effective and conducive learning atmosphere. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation methods as data collection techniques. The results of the study indicate that communication patterns in this school run in an open, participatory, and religious atmosphere. Teachers not only act as conveyors of information, but also as guides and motivators who establish positive interpersonal relationships with students. Factors such as teaching style, student motivation, and school environmental support influence the smoothness of communication. Effective communication has been shown to improve students' understanding of the subject matter and strengthen their character and discipline. This study concludes that good communication patterns between teachers and students contribute directly to the achievement of learning outcomes and the formation of students' character holistically.
Abstract:Looking at the limited time for people, especially for students and looking at so many subjects that must be studied by a student, it seems that students do not have time to study their religious. Meanwhile, references to…
o the teachings of the good character it self are only found in the students’ religious scriptures. so a wise teacher must be abble to involve the holy kitab of each student in every material being taught such as Al- Qur’an for Moeslem students’. Because all references can be found in the Al- Qur;an, for instance in surah Al-Kahfi specifically for the language mathery preposition. Al Qur’an can be used as a media for exercises and also as a media for finding examples of the preposition in grammar matery.
Abstract:The rising prevalence of obesity in Indonesia contributes to increased risk of metabolic diseases such as diabetes mellitus. Body Mass Index (BMI) is commonly used to assess nutritional status and may be correlated with…
long-term blood glucose levels measured by Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c). This study aimed to explore the relationship between BMI and HbA1c levels in patients at Prima Medika General Hospital, Denpasar. A cross-sectional analytic observational design was employed, involving 30 purposively selected respondents. BMI was calculated from weight and height measurements, while HbA1c levels were assessed using the immunoturbidimetric method. Results showed an even distribution of respondents in the normal and overweight BMI categories (each 46.5%), while 50% had HbA1c levels >8%. However, Pearson correlation analysis indicated no statistically significant relationship between BMI and HbA1c levels (p=0.982; r=-0.004). The study concludes that BMI does not have a linear correlation with HbA1c levels. Other factors such as type and duration of therapy, disease progression, and patient adherence may play a greater role in influencing glycemic control and should be further investigated.

Abstract:Abstract This study is motivated by the financial literacy of generation Z and also the quality of life insurance products in Indonesia which are moderated by gender in influencing a person's interest in buying life insurance…
surance in Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive relationship approach. Determination of the sample in this study was carried out by calculating using the Bernoulli formula, with a total of 384 respondents. The data analysis technique used is the Structural Equation Model - Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results of the study show that financial literacy (X1) and product quality (X2) do not have a significant effect on buying interest (Y) where the p-values of both variables are <0.05. Other findings also state that Gender (Z) does not significantly moderate financial literacy and product quality. The conclusion of this study is that the factors that make generation Z interested in buying insurance products are influenced by their perceptions of financial literacy and product quality. More specifically, the perception of product quality factors has a significant and positive influence on generation Z's interest in buying life insurance products in Indonesia. The findings show that of the two variables, product quality can be the strongest predictor in predicting generation Z's interest in purchasing life insurance products. Financial literacy cannot significantly predict generation Z's interest in purchasing insurance products.
