A, Hanan Saad, Alayed, Alayed, Hasan, Hafizah Che
Abstract: The complexity of modern healthcare services has led nursing personnel to face high workloads, intensive emotional demands, and dynamic, high-risk working environments. These conditions make nursing resilience an essential… al psychological factor in maintaining the effectiveness and efficiency of nursing performance. This study aimed to analyze the determinant factors influencing nursing resilience and its impact on nursing work efficiency at King Fahad Specialist Hospital in 2026. This study employed a quantitative cross-sectional design using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) approach. The study population consisted of all active nurses at the Qassim Health Cluster, totaling 4,425 nurses. A total of 356 respondents were selected using stratified random sampling. Data were collected using the Nursing Resilience Scale, Nursing Work Efficiency Scale, Utrecht Work Engagement Scale, and Perceived Organizational Support Scale, all of which had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using SmartPLS 4. The results showed that organizational support (β = 0.431; p < 0.001), work engagement (β = 0.388; p < 0.001), psychological well-being (β = 0.362; p < 0.001), and a supportive work environment (β = 0.295; p < 0.001) had significant positive effects on nursing resilience. Conversely, high workload negatively affected nursing resilience (β = -0.276; p < 0.001). Nursing resilience was also found to have a significant positive effect on nursing work efficiency (β = 0.614; p < 0.001). The R-square value of 0.71 indicated that the research model explained 71% of the variance in nursing work efficiency. Nursing resilience is a strategic psychological resource influenced by organizational, psychological, and work environment factors in improving nursing work efficiency. This study is expected to provide theoretical contributions to the development of nursing management and healthcare organizational behavior literature, as well as practical contributions for hospitals in designing strategies to strengthen healthcare workers’ psychological resilience based on human-centered healthcare management.

Aljarary, Khadija Lafi, Hasan, Hafizah Che
Abstract: Nursing service quality is a critical determinant of healthcare performance. Organizational culture and work innovation are recognized as key organizational factors influencing service quality, yet empirical evidence in… cluster-based healthcare systems remains limited. This study examines the relationship between organizational culture and work innovation in improving nursing service quality in the Makkah Health Cluster, Saudi Arabia 2026. A quantitative cross-sectional design was employed involving 312 registered nurses selected through stratified random sampling. Data were collected using validated questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 4). Organizational culture significantly influences work innovation (β = 0.52, p < 0.001) and nursing service quality (β = 0.41, p < 0.001). Work innovation also significantly affects nursing service quality (β = 0.46, p < 0.001). Work innovation partially mediates the relationship between organizational culture and nursing service quality. The model explains 67% of variance in nursing service quality (R² = 0.67). Organizational culture improves nursing service quality directly and indirectly through work innovation. Strengthening organizational culture and fostering innovation are essential strategies for healthcare service improvement

A, Hanan Saad, Alayed, Alayed, Hasan, Hafizah Che
Abstract: Improving the quality of modern healthcare services largely depends on the effectiveness and efficiency of nursing personnel as the frontline providers of patient care. The complex and high-pressure work environment of specialized… pecialized hospitals requires nurses to cope with emotional demands, heavy workloads, and rapid decision-making in critical situations. These conditions make emotional intelligence one of the important psychological factors influencing nursing performance quality. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between emotional intelligence and nursing work efficiency at King Fahad Specialist Hospital – Qassim Cluster, Saudi Arabia, in 2026. This study employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of all active nurses working at King Fahad Specialist Hospital, Qassim Health Cluster. A total of 312 nurses were selected using stratified random sampling. Data were collected using the Emotional Intelligence Scale and Nursing Work Efficiency Scale, both of which had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4 software. The results revealed that emotional intelligence had a positive and significant effect on nursing work efficiency, with a path coefficient of 0.642, t-statistics of 9.871, and p-value < 0.001. The R-square value of 0.58 indicated that emotional intelligence explained 58% of the variance in nursing work efficiency. Emotional regulation and empathy emerged as the dominant indicators contributing to improved communication quality, clinical decision-making, and patient care effectiveness. This study concludes that emotional intelligence is an important psychological resource in improving nursing work efficiency in specialized hospitals. The findings strengthen the Job Demands–Resources (JD-R) Theory and Emotional Intelligence Theory in explaining the relationship between psychological resources and nursing performance. This study is expected to provide theoretical contributions to the development of nursing management literature and practical contributions for hospitals in designing healthcare human resource development strategies based on psychological well-being.

Abstract: Healthcare service quality is an important factor influencing patient satisfaction, particularly in pediatric nursing services in hospitals. The SERVQUAL model, which includes the dimensions of tangible, reliability, responsiveness,… ponsiveness, assurance, and empathy, is widely used to evaluate healthcare service quality. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between service quality and pediatric patient satisfaction in the Bung Hatta Inpatient Ward of Tk III Dr. Reksodiwiryo Hospital, Padang. This study employed a quantitative approach with an analytic descriptive design and a cross-sectional method. The sample consisted of 30 respondents who were parents or guardians of pediatric patients hospitalized for at least three days. Respondents were selected using an accidental sampling technique. Data were collected using a SERVQUAL-based questionnaire with a Likert scale and analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis with the Chi-square test at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that the majority of respondents were satisfied with nursing services (80%). Bivariate analysis indicated significant relationships between the tangible (p=0.033), reliability (p=0.049), and assurance (p=0.040) dimensions and pediatric patient satisfaction. However, responsiveness and empathy dimensions were not statistically associated with patient satisfaction (p>0.05). In conclusion, nursing service quality is associated with pediatric patient satisfaction in several SERVQUAL dimensions, particularly tangible, reliability, and assurance. Continuous improvement in nursing service quality is necessary to enhance satisfaction among pediatric patients and their families in hospital settings.

INCLUSIVE CARE MODELS ELDERLY HEALTHCARE: A SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW

Yulia, Rahma, Gusni
Abstract: This study applied a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to identify, appraise, and synthesize open-access empirical evidence on inclusive care models in elderly healthcare. The review followed PRISMA 2020 and searched PubMed,… bMed, Scopus, Web of Science, DOAJ, and Google Scholar for studies published between 2015 and 2025. Eligible articles were original research (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods) focusing on service delivery or care models for older adults and explicitly addressing inclusivity, integration, person-centeredness, or collaborative care, with full-text availability in English or Indonesian. From 1,280 records, 1,010 unique articles were screened, 80 full texts were assessed, and 10 studies were included in the final synthesis. Across studies, inclusive elderly care was most consistently implemented through integrated, person-centred, team-based delivery combining comprehensive assessment, individualized care planning, coordinated follow-up, and cross-sector collaboration. Stronger benefits were typically observed among frail older adults when care intensity was aligned with comlplex needs by risk stratification and case management. Mental health integration emerged as a critical component for community-dwelling older adults, supporting the integration of psychological care into routine elderly healthcare pathways rather than parallel programs. Evidence from institutional settings indicated that partnership-based models involving nurses, caregivers, and older adults can improve functional outcomes. Overall, the findings support scaling integrated community and institutional partnership approaches, while future research should strengthen reporting on implementation fidelity, equity impacts, and cost-effectiveness to guide sustainable adoption of inclusive, gerontic-friendly care models.

Gusni Rahma, Afriyenti, Lenny Utama
Abstract: People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) face multiple psychosocial challenges, including stigma, discrimination, and mental health problems that may reduce quality of life and treatment adherence. Resilience and psychosocial… support are recognized as important protective factors that help PLWHA adapt positively to these challenges; however, existing evidence remains fragmented and has not been comprehensively synthesized. This study aimed to examine the role of psychosocial support in strengthening resilience and its implications for mental health among PLWHA through a systematic review approach. A comprehensive literature search was conducted across national and international scientific databases, including quantitative, qualitative, and review studies that addressed resilience, psychosocial support, and mental health among PLWHA, with a particular focus on Asian settings. Articles were selected based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The findings indicate that psychosocial support—such as support from family, peers, and healthcare providers—plays a significant role in enhancing resilience among PLWHA. Higher levels of resilience are consistently associated with lower levels of depression and anxiety, as well as improved psychological well-being and quality of life. In conclusion, psychosocial support is essential in strengthening resilience and promoting mental health among PLWHA, highlighting the importance of integrating psychosocial interventions into HIV/AIDS care services to support long-term well-being and adaptive coping.

Tiara Amelia, Bustami, Oktizulvia, Conny
Abstract: Abstract Patient safety incidents remain a critical healthcare problem in Indonesia, particularly within hospital settings. Patient safety goals are an essential priority for healthcare providers, especially nurses, who… ses, who serve as the frontline workforce delivering continuous care. Optimal implementation of patient safety goals requires adequate knowledge, supportive attitudes, and strong professional performance from nurses. Effective adherence to these goals plays a key role in preventing adverse events that may harm or endanger patients. This study aimed to examine the relationship between nurses’ knowledge and attitudes with the implementation of Patient Safety Goals in a private hospital in West Sumatra, Indonesia. A descriptive quantitative method with a cross-sectional design was used. A total of 35 nurses were selected through total sampling. Data were collected using validated questionnaires (KPSQ, APSQ, IPSG I–VI). Statistical analysis employed the Chi-Square test with a significance level of p < 0.05. Results showed that more than half of the nurses demonstrated good knowledge (51.4%), positive attitudes (57.1%), and good implementation of patient safety goals (54.3%). Chi-Square analysis revealed significant associations between knowledge and patient safety goal implementation (p=0.044<0.05), as well as between attitudes and patient safety goal implementation (p=0.012). The study concludes that nurses’ knowledge and attitudes are significantly related to the implementation of patient safety goals. Abstract: The emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019 has had an impact on all aspects of life, particularly global health. Indonesia is one of the affected countries. The Indonesian government has responded to the conditions of… f this pandemic, one of which is by imposing access restrictions to prevent the pandemic from spreading. This policy indirectly affects the community's activities, including the utilization of existing healthcare services. Meanwhile, available data show that one of the major issues that the Indonesian state is still dealing with is its status as the third country with the greatest number of TB (Tuberculosis) cases in the world, with some of the TB cases being classified as Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis (DR-TB).

THE EFFICACY AND SAFETY OF A POLYPILL (ANTIHYPERTENSIVE, STATIN, ± ASPIRIN) FOR THE PRIMARY PREVENTION OF MAJOR ADVERSE CARDIOVASCULAR EVENTS: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW AND META-ANALYSIS

Warham, Jonea Octavien Wijaya, Widya Aulia, Sammy Samuel, Bram Adhitama
Abstract: Background: Cardiovascular disease (CVD) continues to be the predominant cause of global mortality. Polypill techniques that integrate various cardiovascular drugs into a single formulation have emerged as a potential method… thod for primary prevention, especially in intermediate-risk populations. Objective: To systematically review and synthesize evidence regarding the efficacy and safety of polypill formulations (comprising antihypertensive medications, statins, with or without aspirin) in comparison to standard care or placebo for the primary prevention of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in intermediate-risk populations. Methods: We conducted systematic review and meta-analysis in accordance with PRISMA 2020 standards (Systematic Review Registration: PROSPERO CRD420251184718). Various databases (PubMed, Cochrane Library, ScienceDirect, Scopus) were examined for original research published from January 2015 to October 2024. Studies were eligible if they assessed polypill therapies in individuals aged 30 to 70 years with intermediate cardiovascular risk (10-20% 10-year risk), reported composite major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) outcomes, and included a minimum follow-up of 6 months. Two independent reviewers conducted screening, data extraction, and risk of bias evaluation utilizing the Cochrane RoB 2.0 tool. Results: Of the 161 records discovered, 4 randomized controlled studies (HOPE-3, TIPS-3, PolyIran, PolyPars) with 31,501 people fulfilled the inclusion criteria. Polypill therapies showed a substantial decrease in composite MACE relative to control groups (pooled HR 0.67 (95% CI 0.60-0.75, p<0.001). Individual trial hazard ratios varied from 0.50 (PolyPars) to 0.66 (PolyIran) and 0.79 (TIPS-3) with moderate heterogeneity (I²=35.2%, p=0.20). Polypills were generally well- tolerated, with a safety profile consistent with the individual components. Medication adherence was enhanced with the polypill in comparison to multiple-pill regimens. Conclusions: Polypill techniques markedly reduce major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in intermediate-risk patients for primary cardiovascular prevention, achieving around a 33% relative risk reduction. The fixed-dose combination strategy provides benefits in compliance and ease of use. These findings hold significant implications for healthcare systems in low-to- middle-income nations, such as Indonesia, where the burden of cardiovascular disease is substantial and access to long-term cardiovascular drugs is frequently hindered by cost and complexity.
