THE EFFECT OF MODERNIZATION OF TAX ADMINISTRATION ON THE COMPLIANCE OF MOTOR VEHICLE TAXPAYERS (CASE STUDY OF SAMSAT GORONTALO CITY)

Esmelanda Diens, Hartati Tuli, Muliyani Mahmud
Abstract: This study aims to determine the influence of administrative modernization in taxation on the compliance of vehicle taxpayers at the SAMSAT Office in the Gorontalo City area. The modernization of tax administration is expected… pected to increase service efficiency and convenience for taxpayers which can encourage increased compliance in fulfilling tax obligations. This study uses a quantitative method. Population in this study are all registered motor vehicle taxpayers as many as 144,490 taxpayers, with a sample of 100 respondents consisting of 83 two-wheeled vehicle taxpayers and 17 four-wheeled motor vehicle taxpayers. The sampling technique uses proportional random sampling. Data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires to taxpayers and analyzed using simple linear regression analysis and IBM SPSS 25. The results of the study show that the modernization of tax administration has a positive and significant effect on the compliance of motor vehicle taxpayers. This is evidenced by a t-calculated value of 2.514 > t-table of 1.98472 and a significance value of 0.014 < 0.05. The value of the regression coefficient of 0.129 indicates that every 1% increase in tax administration modernization will increase taxpayer compliance by 12.9%. In addition, a determination coefficient value (R2) of 0.061 indicates that 6.1% of the variation in taxpayer compliance can be explained by modernization of tax administration, while the remaining 93.9% is influenced by other factors outside of this study.

Latifah Azhar Dini, Eko Julianto, Sudiarto, Dwi Astuti
Abstract: Background: Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder caused by high levels of physical activity, high sugar consumption, reduced insulin production, and impaired insulin response or other hormones that inhibit insulin… nsulin action. Based on IDF data, the prevalence of diabetes mellitus in Indonesia in 2024 is estimated to reach 11.3% of the population (approximately 20.4 million people). In addition, the Ministry of Health shows that in 2023, cases of diabetes mellitus will reach 11.7% and are predicted to continue to increase. High blood glucose levels, if left untreated, can cause various complications such as heart disease, stroke, nerve damage, and wound infections that can lead to amputation. One non-pharmacological treatment that can be given is by giving boiled moringa leaves, because moringa leaves contain antioxidants such as flavonoids, vitamins A, C, and E which can lower blood glucose levels. Objective: To determine the effect of Moringa leaf decoction on reducing blood glucose levels in diabetes mellitus patients in Sikampuh Village, Kroya District, Cilacap Regency. Method: The method used was a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Results: Based on the research results, administering Moringa leaf decoction to blood glucose levels in diabetes mellitus patients for 7 days was proven to be effective in lowering blood glucose levels. Conclusion: Administering Moringa leaf decoction to diabetes mellitus patients for 7 days can lower blood glucose levels.

Warham, Jonea Octavien Wijaya, Widya Aulia, Sammy Samuel, Bram Adhitama
Abstract: Background: Cardiovascular disease (CVD) continues to be the predominant cause of global mortality. Polypill techniques that integrate various cardiovascular drugs into a single formulation have emerged as a potential method… thod for primary prevention, especially in intermediate-risk populations. Objective: To systematically review and synthesize evidence regarding the efficacy and safety of polypill formulations (comprising antihypertensive medications, statins, with or without aspirin) in comparison to standard care or placebo for the primary prevention of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in intermediate-risk populations. Methods: We conducted systematic review and meta-analysis in accordance with PRISMA 2020 standards (Systematic Review Registration: PROSPERO CRD420251184718). Various databases (PubMed, Cochrane Library, ScienceDirect, Scopus) were examined for original research published from January 2015 to October 2024. Studies were eligible if they assessed polypill therapies in individuals aged 30 to 70 years with intermediate cardiovascular risk (10-20% 10-year risk), reported composite major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) outcomes, and included a minimum follow-up of 6 months. Two independent reviewers conducted screening, data extraction, and risk of bias evaluation utilizing the Cochrane RoB 2.0 tool. Results: Of the 161 records discovered, 4 randomized controlled studies (HOPE-3, TIPS-3, PolyIran, PolyPars) with 31,501 people fulfilled the inclusion criteria. Polypill therapies showed a substantial decrease in composite MACE relative to control groups (pooled HR 0.67 (95% CI 0.60-0.75, p<0.001). Individual trial hazard ratios varied from 0.50 (PolyPars) to 0.66 (PolyIran) and 0.79 (TIPS-3) with moderate heterogeneity (I²=35.2%, p=0.20). Polypills were generally well- tolerated, with a safety profile consistent with the individual components. Medication adherence was enhanced with the polypill in comparison to multiple-pill regimens. Conclusions: Polypill techniques markedly reduce major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in intermediate-risk patients for primary cardiovascular prevention, achieving around a 33% relative risk reduction. The fixed-dose combination strategy provides benefits in compliance and ease of use. These findings hold significant implications for healthcare systems in low-to- middle-income nations, such as Indonesia, where the burden of cardiovascular disease is substantial and access to long-term cardiovascular drugs is frequently hindered by cost and complexity.

Tangkere, Evacuree S., Lawani, Anastasya A., Leke, Jein R, Sompie, Florencia N.
Abstract: This research was conducted in order to determine or to re-examine the performances of broiler chickens fed ration containing cinnamon bark powder (Cinnamomum burmannii). Eighty of CP 707 broiler chickens aged of 2 weeks… ks were used and kept until 6 weeks old. Completely Randomized Design with 5 treatments and 4 replications each treatment was used in this study; the treatments used were, T0= 100% basal ration without cinnamon bark powder (CBP), T1= 99.5% basal ration + 0.5% CBP, T2= 99% basal ration + 1% CBP, T3= 98.5% basal ration + 1.5 % CBP, and T4= 98% basal ration + 2% CBP. The measurements taken were feed consumption, weight gain, feed conversion, and final body weight. The results of analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Duncan test showed that, giving cinnamon bark powder up to 2% in the ration had an effect on CP 707 broiler chickens aged 2-6 weeks; had a very significantly different effect (P<0.01) on body weight gained and so, on final body weight; and significantly different (P <0.05) on feed conversion, but not on feed consumption. In this study, the higher the level of CBP in the ration, the weight gained and final body weight decreased but feed conversion increased. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that giving cinnamon bark powder as a natural feed additive up to 2% in the feed did not improve the performance of CP 707 broiler chickens, because of weight gained and final body weight of the chickens decreased, while, feed conversion increased, which means that, economically it was not getting better.
