Abstract:The rapid growth of the global affordable luxury fashion segment presents a critical paradox, as luxury brands increasingly target culturally diverse consumers who interpret the meaning of luxury in fundamentally different…
nt ways. This phenomenon becomes particularly evident when comparing collectivist markets such as Indonesia with individualistic markets such as Australia, where uniform value propositions often fail to resonate equally. This study aims to examine the influence of cultural context on Luxury Value Perception (LVP) and Purchase Intention, as well as the moderating role of Individualism–Collectivism orientation among affordable luxury fashion consumers in Indonesia and Australia. A quantitative survey-based approach was employed and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), complemented by Measurement Invariance of Composite Models (MICOM) and Multi-Group Analysis (MGA). The findings are expected to provide empirical insights into how cultural differences shape luxury value perceptions and purchase intentions, offering strategic implications for affordable luxury fashion brands in developing culturally adaptive value propositions.
Abstract:Branding has emerged as a strategic asset for micro and small enterprises (MSEs) to enhance competitiveness in increasingly saturated markets. This study investigates the role of branding strategies in strengthening the…
competitive advantage of a micro-scale coffee shop in Indonesia, namely 360 Coffee. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving business owners, employees, and customers. The findings reveal that brand identity consistency, emotional engagement with consumers, product differentiation, and service experience significantly contribute to customer loyalty and market positioning. However, the study also identifies challenges related to limited strategic branding planning, constrained resources, and suboptimal digital branding utilization. These findings support previous studies emphasizing that effective branding enables MSEs to create perceived value beyond functional attributes (Kotler & Keller, 2016; Wijoyo et al., 2021). This research contributes to the literature on small business branding by providing empirical evidence from a local coffee enterprise and offers practical insights for MSE owners seeking sustainable competitive advantage.

being. One type of service with the potential to address these needs is digital journaling platforms. However, at the pre-launch stage, the main challenge faced by digital platforms lies not only in feature design, but also in building brand awareness from the outset through digital marketing strategies that are relevant to the needs of potential users. This study aims to design a digital marketing strategy based on consumer insight, customer journey, and value proposition at the pre-launch stage of the PelanPelan digital journaling platform. The study adopts a descriptive qualitative approach involving potential users from Generation Z aged 20–28 years. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and open-ended surveys. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify consumer insights, construct a conceptual customer journey, and formulate a value proposition as the foundation of the digital marketing strategy. The findings indicate that potential users perceive journaling as a tool for emotional regulation and self-reflection, yet still experience adoption barriers at the awareness stage. Based on these findings, pre-launch digital marketing strategies should focus on empathetic, simple, and emotionally driven communication to build contextual brand awareness.

nd risk tolerance (RT)—and Bitcoin investment decisions among Generation Z in Indonesia, using the Tokocrypto and Indodax platforms. Employing a quantitative approach with a survey of 360 active Generation Z investors, data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings indicate that financial literacy, risk tolerance, PU, and PEOU have a direct positive and significant effect on Bitcoin investment decisions. Overconfidence, however, showed no significant direct effect. Furthermore, PU and PEOU partially mediated the relationships between financial literacy and investment decisions, as well as between risk tolerance and investment decisions. Notably, PEOU emerged as the strongest mediating pathway, particularly for risk tolerance. Conversely, neither PU nor PEOU mediated the relationship between overconfidence and investment decisions. This research contributes theoretically by integrating Behavioral Finance theory with the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) in the context of high-risk digital assets. Practically, it offers insights for platform developers to enhance user experience and design targeted financial education, and for regulators to formulate behaviorally-informed investor protection policies.
Abstract:Coal mining, handling, and transportation activities are major sources of airborne particulate matter containing respirable crystalline silica, which poses significant risks to respiratory health. Silicosis remains a serious…
ious occupational and environmental disease affecting not only workers but also communities living near coal-handling areas. Physical environmental factors, including air quality, temperature, humidity, and wind speed, play an important role in influencing dust generation, dispersion, and inhalation exposure. This narrative review aims to synthesize current evidence on the influence of physical environmental conditions on silica exposure and silicosis development, integrating findings from environmental monitoring studies, epidemiological research, and experimental Wistar rat models. A literature search was conducted using major scientific databases to identify relevant peer-reviewed articles published between 2010 and 2024. The reviewed evidence indicates that prolonged or high-intensity exposure to silica dust is strongly associated with chronic pulmonary inflammation and progressive fibrosis. Environmental conditions can exacerbate exposure risk by increasing airborne particulate concentrations and respiratory vulnerability. Experimental studies using Wistar rats provide mechanistic insights into silica-induced lung injury, supporting epidemiological observations in human populations. This review highlights the importance of integrating environmental, occupational, and biological perspectives to improve risk prediction, early detection, and preventive strategies for silicosis in coal-handling regions.
