Abstract:This study aims to analyze the management of batik as an educational tourism attraction based on local cultural values in Karanganyar Regency, with an emphasis on the involvement of the five key actors in the Penta Helix…
model—government, academia, business sector, community, and media. Karanganyar possesses rich cultural heritage in the form of batik, which holds significant potential to be developed into an educational tourism destination. However, its current management still faces various challenges. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, using in-depth interviews, field observations, and document studies for data collection. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis, referring to destination management theory (Cooper et al., 2008) and the concept of edu-tourism (Bodger, 1998). The results reveal that the management of batik educational tourism in Karanganyar has not yet been systematically integrated. Key issues identified include: (1) limited human resources with adequate competence, (2) conventional tourism practices, (3) lack of innovation in tourism product packaging, (4) insufficient institutional coordination and support, and (5) underdeveloped integration between cultural and educational tourism. While there is a strong commitment to cultural preservation from local communities and participation from business actors, structural support from the government and optimization of the media’s role require further enhancement. The implication of this research emphasizes the need for strengthened cross-sectoral collaboration through the Penta Helix framework, the formulation of specific policies for educational tourism development, as well as innovations in digital promotion and context-based cultural education curricula. This study is expected to serve as a reference for policymakers, tourism practitioners, and future researchers in promoting sustainable educational tourism rooted in local culture.

From a practical perspective, PTK has a direct impact on improving the quality of learning, student involvement, and changing teachers' professional attitudes. Although its implementation is faced with various challenges, both technical and psychological, solutions can be found through ongoing training, mentoring, and institutional support. Thus, PTK plays an important role in building an innovative work culture and improving the quality of education holistically.

ing variable. The study utilizes a qualitative approach by synthesizing findings from national and international journals published in the past 10–15 years. The results indicate that emotional intelligence enables employees to adapt and interact effectively in the workplace, servant leadership fosters a supportive and empowering work climate, and organizational commitment enhances loyalty and proactive behavior. Furthermore, OCB plays a significant mediating role by reinforcing the relationship between these three variables and career development outcomes. Employees who display high OCB are more likely to gain recognition, trust, and career advancement opportunities. This study highlights the importance of a holistic approach in career development by integrating individual competencies, leadership styles, and affective organizational engagement. Practical implications suggest the need for organizational initiatives that strengthen emotional intelligence, servant leadership, and supportive organizational culture to foster sustainable employee career progression.

ons as a medium for internalizing Islamic educational values such as shukr (gratitude), ukhuwwah (brotherhood), and social awareness. Using a qualitative approach through a literature review, this study explores the embedded Islamic values within Kenduri Nasi and its role in preserving local cultural identity. The findings reveal that Kenduri Nasi serves as a contextual medium for transmitting religious values across generations through culturally rooted practices. This tradition exemplifies a positive syncretism between Islamic teachings and Malay customs, making it relevant for character education based on local wisdom. It also provides a meaningful model for integrating religious teachings into everyday life in a way that is both accessible and culturally sensitive.

ctivity are crucial elements for the success and sustainability of organizations amidst intense business competition and dynamic changes in the work environment, including adaptation to work models such as Work From Home (WFH). This article uses a qualitative literature study method on articles/journals covering various key variables such as organizational/work culture, work environment, compensation, motivation, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, workload, work discipline, work stress, and work-life balance. The results of the analysis indicate a complex and interrelated relationship between these variables. It is consistently found that a positive organizational culture, intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, and organizational commitment have a significant influence on improving performance and productivity. A conducive work environment and job satisfaction often act as important mediators in this relationship. However, the influence of variables such as compensation, workload, and work discipline show varying results depending on the organizational context and individual characteristics. This study underlines the importance of a holistic and integrated human resource management approach to optimize employee performance and productivity. Practical implications and suggestions for further research are also discussed.
