n female prisoners. Subject selection was carried out by purposive sampling. The subjects involved were five female prisoners who had the BDI-II category of moderate depression with a minimum sentence of less than one year in prison. The level of depression was measured using the BDI-II (Beck Depression Inventory) scale by Beck (1976). The BDI-II scale was given before and after being given mindfulness therapy and the data collected was analyzed using a paired sample t-test and effectiveness test. The results of the study showed that there was a significant difference in the level of depression, where the average level of depression decreased after receiving the intervention, the level of depression in subjects who previously had an average score of 25.4 decreased to 17.6. This shows that the intervention provided in the form of mindfulness therapy can reduce the level of depression in the subject. To test whether the results of the intervention were significant or not, the researcher also carried out a significance test using paired sample t-test analysis, but first the researcher carried out a normality test on the research data. Based on the results of the Difference Test analysis, a significance value of 0.022 (p<0.05) was obtained, meaning that there was a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores, so it could be concluded that there was a decrease in the level of depression in research subjects after being given intervention in the form of mindfulness therapy.

ion on economic losses across provinces in Indonesia and to examine the role of depression treatment as a mediating variable. The study employs a quantitative approach using explanatory research and a cross-sectional design based on secondary data from 2023. Data were obtained from the Indonesian Health Survey (SKI) by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia and Regional Gross Domestic Product (PDRB) data from the Central Statistics Agency, with 38 provinces in Indonesia as the units of analysis. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics, multiple linear regression, and causal mediation analysis. The results of the study indicate that schizophrenia, depression, and suicidal ideation have a significant negative effect on economic loss, as proxied by per capita GRDP. Depression is the variable with the greatest negative impact on regional economic productivity. Furthermore, treatment for depression was found to act as a significant mediator capable of mitigating the negative impact of depression on economic loss. These findings indicate that improved access to mental health services contributes to increased community economic productivity and a reduction in regional economic losses. This study makes a theoretical contribution to the development of development economics and health economics research through the integration of mental health variables and regional economic productivity. Practically, the research results underscore the importance of integrating mental health services into regional development policies to improve the quality of human resources and reduce economic loss in Indonesia.

support are recognized as important protective factors that help PLWHA adapt positively to these challenges; however, existing evidence remains fragmented and has not been comprehensively synthesized. This study aimed to examine the role of psychosocial support in strengthening resilience and its implications for mental health among PLWHA through a systematic review approach. A comprehensive literature search was conducted across national and international scientific databases, including quantitative, qualitative, and review studies that addressed resilience, psychosocial support, and mental health among PLWHA, with a particular focus on Asian settings. Articles were selected based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The findings indicate that psychosocial support—such as support from family, peers, and healthcare providers—plays a significant role in enhancing resilience among PLWHA. Higher levels of resilience are consistently associated with lower levels of depression and anxiety, as well as improved psychological well-being and quality of life. In conclusion, psychosocial support is essential in strengthening resilience and promoting mental health among PLWHA, highlighting the importance of integrating psychosocial interventions into HIV/AIDS care services to support long-term well-being and adaptive coping.

Abstract:This study evaluates the impact of mental health disorders such as stress, anxiety, and depression on the risk of various physical illnesses, including cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, obesity, immune system disorders,…
orders, respiratory conditions, skin disorders, digestive ailments, and osteoporosis. Employing a literature review methodology, the research analyzed data from previous studies, uncovering that mental disorders elevate the risk of cardiovascular diseases through oxidative stress and systemic inflammation mechanisms. The link between stress and glycemic dysregulation in type 2 diabetes highlights a trend towards increased insulin resistance. Depression, closely associated with obesity, is often exacerbated by unhealthy eating habits used as coping mechanisms. Chronic stress-induced immune system disorders result in decreased immune responses, while respiratory issues such as asthma are intensified by increased anxiety. Skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema frequently worsen due to psychological stress. In digestive disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome, stress contributes to more severe symptoms, and osteoporosis is similarly affected by chronic stress impacting bone metabolism. These findings affirm the critical importance of routine mental health screenings and the integration of effective public health interventions in overall health management, as exemplified by the Rehab Hati Foundation. Public health programs that enhance mental health can aid in preventing and managing physical illnesses, improving life quality, and reducing overall health burdens. The conclusion highlights the essential role of effective mental health management as both a preventive and therapeutic strategy.
