THE EFFECT OF HAND PUPPET MEDIA ON THE SPEAKING SKILLS OF SECOND GRADE STUDENTS AT MI AS-SYAFI’IYAH 10 GUNUNG SINDUR

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to determine the significance level of the effect of using hand puppet media on the speaking skills of second-grade students at MI As-Syafi’iyah 10 Gunung Sindur. This research employed a quasi-experimental&#8230; uasi-experimental method with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used was non-random purposive sampling, with two classes selected as samples, each consisting of 32 students. The data collection technique used in this study was an oral test instrument, designed using a non-equivalent control group design. The results showed that the average score of the experimental class was 45.31 in the pre-test and 67.81 in the post-test. Meanwhile, the control class scored an average of 44.84 in the pre-test and 46.56 in the post-test. The data were tested for normality and found to be normally distributed. The homogeneity test results showed a significance value of 0.308 > 0.05, indicating that the data are homogeneous or have the same variance. The findings revealed that the use of hand puppet media had a significant effect on students' speaking skills. The hypothesis testing using a Paired Sample T-Test showed a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that the result is statistically significant. Therefore, the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) is accepted, meaning there is a significant difference in students’ speaking skills before and after being taught using hand puppet media.

DEVELOPMENT OF A MATHEMATICS LEARNING MODULE WITH THE MISSOURI MATHEMATICS PROJECT (MMP) MODEL ON THE TOPIC OF ALGEBRAIC FUNCTION LIMITS FOR GRADE XI MA AL-JUNAIDIYAH, DISTRICT MANDAILING NATAL

Abstract: This research is driven by the limited use of mathematics learning tools such as teaching modules in schools. At MA Al-Junaidiyah in Mandailing Natal Regency, learning still largely relies on textbooks based on the 2006&#8230; curriculum, resulting in low student achievement in mathematics, particularly in the topic of algebraic function limits. This study aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of a Mathematics Learning Module developed using the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) Model for the topic of Algebraic Function Limits for Grade XI students at MA Al-Junaidiyah. The research follows the Research and Development (R&D) methodology with the ADDIE development model comprising five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Module validation involved experts in content, media, and language. The trial was conducted with 23 students of class XI-2. Two validators were assigned for each area. Results showed that the module achieved an overall validity score of 84.29%, categorized as valid. Its practicality reached 89.75%, categorized as practical. Student learning effectiveness reached 47%, showing the module is effective in improving learning outcomes. Therefore, the module is deemed feasible, engaging, and beneficial for enhancing student achievement.

THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PHONICS METHOD IN IMPROVING THE READING SKILLS OF GRADE 1 STUDENTS AT SDN 4 GERESIK TASIKMALAYA

Abstract: This study aims to improve students' reading skills by implementing the phonics teaching method in the first grade of SDN 4 Geresik Tasikmalaya. In this study, we used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) Method following&#8230; the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consists of two cycles. Each cycle involves the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation, interviews, pretest-posttest, and documentation. The results of the study showed that the implementation of the phonics method succeeded in improving the reading skills of grade 1 students, both in recognizing letters, spelling words, reading simple sentences, and understanding the contents of the reading. This can be seen from the increase in reading test scores and student activities during the learning process.

THE EFFECT OF RELIGIOSITY AND ACADEMIC RESILIENCE ON DECREASE IN THE LEVEL OF ACADEMIC ANXIETY OF MASTER STUDENTS OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION, STATE ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY OF SULTAN SYARIF KASIM RIAU

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the influence of religiosity and academic resilience on decreasing the level of academic anxiety of students of the Master of Islamic Education Program at the Sultan Syarif Kasim State Islamic&#8230; University, Riau. Academic anxiety is a common psychological challenge experienced by postgraduate students. Religiosity and academic resilience are seen as protective factors that can help students manage academic stress in a healthier way. This study uses a quantitative method with data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires and documentation. The research sample consisted of 41 students from three semesters selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was carried out using the independent sample t-test using SPSS version 25. The results showed that religiosity had a significant effect on academic anxiety with a significance value of 0.029, while academic resilience showed a stronger effect with a significance value of 0.000. Because the significance results of both variables are less than 0.05, the higher the religiosity and academic resilience of students, the lower their level of academic anxiety. This finding confirms that the integration of the values ​​of religiosity and resilience is very important in supporting students' mental resilience. Strengthening religiosity and fostering academic resilience can be effective strategies to reduce academic anxiety in postgraduate higher education.    

THE MEANING OF THE TEPUK TEPUNG TAWAR TRADITION IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SCIENCE LEARNING BASED ON MALAY ETHNOPEDAGOGY

Abstract: This study illustrates the meaning of learning based on Malay ethnopedagogy through the integration of the Tepuk Tepung Tawar tradition into the topic of human growth and development in the Science subject for Grade V of&#8230; Elementary School in Pekanbaru. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data collection techniques including observation, classroom discussions, field notes, and student worksheets (LKPD). The results of the study show that the implementation of the Tepuk Tepung Tawar tradition in learning has a positive impact on students’ holistic understanding, covering biological, social, and spiritual aspects. Students were able to connect scientific concepts with cultural experiences, showed increased enthusiasm, and gained an understanding of values such as mutual cooperation, natural balance, and spirituality. These findings affirm that culture-based learning can enhance engagement, deepen the meaning of the material, and holistically shape students' character.

BUILD UNDERSTANDING STUDENT ABOUT METHOD WORK LUNGS THROUGH PROJECT-BASED EXPERIMENTS AT SDN 188 PEKANBARU

Abstract: Science education at the elementary school level has an important role in shaping scientific thinking and improving students' understanding of natural concepts, one of which is the human respiratory system. In this case,&#8230; the lungs become organ vital Which worthy introduced through method interesting and applicable learning. This study aims to describe how the understanding of fifth grade students of SDN 188 Pekanbaru can be improved through project-based experiments on how the lungs work. This experimental method is designed with an active and contextual learning approach, where students are directly involved in the process of making a lung model using simple tools and materials. The results show that student involvement in experiment based on project capable increase enthusiasm learning and conceptual understanding significantly. In addition, this activity also trains critical thinking skills, teamwork, and scientific communication. These findings underscore the importance of integrating a project-based experimental approach in learning Science. Through activity This, Teacher No only teach theory, but also provide meaningful learning experiences that can improve students' overall learning outcomes.  

IMPROVING MASTERY OF MUFRODAT (VOCABULARY) BY USING FLASHCARD MEDIA FOR STUDENTS IN CLASS VII SMP PESANTREN PUTRI YATAMA MANDIRI GOWA

Abstract: This study aims to determine the process and results of the application of flashcard media in improving mastery of mufrodat (Arabic vocabulary). This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subject of the&#8230; e research was the seventh grade students of SMP Pesantren Putri Yatama Mandiri Gowa with a total of 28 people. Data collection techniques used in the study were test sheets and observation sheets. This research was conducted in 2 cycles and each cycle consisted of 2 meetings. The results of this study indicate that the average score obtained by students has increased. In cycle I, the average value was 69% and the average value in cycle II was 91%. The average score obtained by students in learning mufrodat by using flashcards media increased by 22% from the value of cycle I to the value of cycle II.  

DEVELOPMENT OF INTERACTIVE LEARNING MEDIA FOR CANVA MAGIC APPLICATION ON SHORT STORY WRITING SKILLS OF GRADE IX STUDENTS OF SMP NEGERI 2 BAROMBONG

Abstract: This research aims to develop an interactive learning media based on the Canva Magic application  to improve the short story writing skills of grade IX students of SMP Negeri 2 Barombong. The media development process follows&#8230; ollows the 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) model, starting with an analysis of the needs of students and teachers that shows students' tendency towards visual and interactive learning media. This media is designed to present short story writing material in an interesting and easy-to-understand way. The research methods used in this study are research and development or Research and Development (R&D) with descriptive quantitative analysis methods, data collection techniques include media validation questionnaires, practical observations, and short story writing skills tests before (pretest) and after the use of media (posttest). This media prototype is designed with excellent features such as storyline templates, character illustrations, and interactive and visual step-by-step guides. The results of expert validation show a very high level of validity in the material and media aspects. The practicality test showed that the score increased from 0.73 (practical) to 0.97 (very practical). The results of the effectiveness test showed a significant increase in the short story writing skill score, with  an average pretest score  of 65 and the posttest increased to 90-98. So, it can be concluded that Canva Magic learning media  with  the AI-based Magic Write feature  is effective and practical to improve short story writing skills in a creative, systematic, and meaningful way for students.

THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SINGING METHOD IN ARABIC VOCABULARY MASTERY OF SIXTH GRADE STUDENTS AT MI DDI PALIRANG

Abstract: This study is a type of Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the research subjects being the sixth-grade students of MI DDI Palirang, totaling 28 students. The aim of this study is to examine the planning, implementation,&#8230; , and learning outcomes of students in mastering Arabic vocabulary using the singing method. Data collection techniques used in this study include observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of two meetings. The results showed that the average vocabulary mastery score of students increased from 79 in the first cycle to 90 in the second cycle. This indicates an 11%-point improvement in students’ Arabic vocabulary mastery. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the singing method in learning can improve Arabic vocabulary mastery among sixth-grade students of MI DDI Palirang.

COMPARATIVE STUDY OF ARAB LANGUAGE WRITING SKILLS BETWEEN STUDENTS GRADUATED FROM JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL AND MTS IN CLASS XI MA DARUL AMAN LENGKESE TAKALAR

Abstract: Agung Sedayu M, Comparative Study of Arabic Writing Skills between Junior High School and Middle School Graduates in Class XI of MA Darul Aman Lengkese Takalar. Thesis. Department of Foreign Language Education. Arabic Language&#8230; nguage Education. Faculty of Language and Literature, Makassar State University (supervised by Ambo Dalle and Ahmad Sirfi Fatoni). This study aims to determine the comparison of Arabic writing skills between junior high school and high school graduates in class XI of MA Darul Aman Lengkese Takalar in the 2025/2026 academic year. This research is a quantitative research using a comparative approach. The techniques used in this research are observation techniques, documentation, tests from two different samples, namely junior high school graduates totaling 14 people with MTS graduates totaling 14 people with a total sample of 28 people. The results of this study showed that the average value of the Arabic writing skills test results of junior high school graduates got an average result of 54.9 while MTS graduates obtained an average value of 62.74. Based on the results of the t-test conducted, there is a significant difference between the Arabic writing skills of junior high school graduates and MTS graduates in class XI MA Darul Aman Lengkese Takalar.
