Upaya Pembentukan Karakter Bangsa Berjiwa Nasionalis Dengan Tayangan Film “Battle Of Surabaya”

Abstract: The character of nationalism is very important to be instilled as an effort to build a strong character in order to fortify the golden milestone of the Indonesian nation (the younger generation) against the negative impacts… cts of globalization. The activity of “Watching with Film Nationalism” was carried out to foster the nationalist and patriotic spirit of the younger generation as a golden milestone for the Indonesian nation. The method used is planning through observation and adjustment of work programs, submission of proposals, pre-implementation, implementation of activities, and evaluation of activities. This activity was carried out in December at one of the elementary schools in the village of MI Miftahul Huda Duwet Krajan with the target activities of students in grades IVb, V, and VI. This activity achieved results in the form of increasing the knowledge of MI Miftahul Huda students to be able to know more about the heroes who contributed to Indonesia, to form a patriotic character, and proud to be part of the Indonesian nation. Keywords: nationalism; patriotism; students   Abstrak: Karakter nasionalisme sangatlah penting untuk ditanamkan sebagai upaya pembentukan karakter yang kuat dalam rangka membentengi tonggak emas bangsa Indonesia (generasi muda) akan dampak negatif dari globalisasi. Kegiatan “Nonton Bareng Film Nasionalisme” dilaksanakan untuk menumbuhkan semangat nasionalis dan patriotis generasi muda sebagai tonggak emas bangsa Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan adalah perencanaan melalui observasi dan penyesuaian program kerja, pengajuan proposal, prapelaksanaan, pelaksanaan kegiatan, dan evaluasi kegiatan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada bulan desember di salah satu sekolah dasar desa duwet krajan MI Miftahul Huda dengan sasaran kegiatan siswa kelas IVb, V dan VI. Kegiatan ini mencapai hasil berupa  peningkatan pengetahuan siswa MI Miftahul Huda untuk dapat lebih mengenal tokoh pahlawan yang berjasa di Indonesia, untuk membentuk karakter patriotis dan bangga menjadi bagian dari Bangsa Indonesia. Pelatihan Public Speaking Bagi Karang Taruna Dharma Bakti Kelurahan Renon

Abstract: Abstract: Public speaking is an important skill for every person and organization to have. In doing public speaking, it takes careful practice to get used to convey a topic in front of many people. However, in reality, many… any people and youth have low public speaking skills, which makes it difficult for them to express their opinions in front of many people, so a public speaking training for youth groups is held so that participants who take part in the training understand the importance of having public speaking skills and how to improve these skills. . In addition, this public speaking training is needed in youth organizations so that in internal and external communication there is no miscommunication and expressing opinions. The method used in this activity is a participatory act review. This activity received a positive response from the participants, as seen from the enthusiasm of the participants and active in asking, discussing, and answering questions posed by the presenters. In addition, based on the Pre-Test and Post-Test questionnaires that have been given to 22 training participants, the results are very good. Where based on the post-test filled by 22 people, there are 17 people who get good results with a vulnerable value of 76-100, only 5 people with a value (56-75) this shows much improvement from the results of the previous pre-test, which only 5 people get good grades Keywords: public speaking; training; youth organization. Abstrak: Public speaking merupakan skill yang penting untuk dimiliki oleh setiap orang maupun organisasi. Dalam melakukan public speaking dibutuhkan latihan yang matang agar terbiasa dalam menyampaikan suatu topik di depan banyak orang. Namun kenyataannya, banyak masyarakat maupun pemuda yang memiliki kemampuan public speaking rendah, yang menyebabkan mereka sulit menyampaikan pendapat di depan banyak orang, maka diadakanlah pelatihan public speaking bagi karang taruna ini agar peserta yang mengikuti pelatihan memahami pentingnya mempunyai keterampilan public speaking dan bagaimana meningkatkan keterampilan tersebut. Selain itu, pelatihan public speaking ini diperlukan dalam organisasi karang taruna agar dalam komunikasi internal maupun eksternal tidak terjadinya miscommunication dan menyampaikan pendapat. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah kaji tindak partisipati. Kegiatan ini mendapatkan respon yang positif dari peserta, yang dilihat dari antusiasme para peserta dan aktif dalam bertanya, berdiskusi, dan menjawab pertanyaan yang dilontarkan oleh pemateri. Selain itu, berdasarkan angket pengisian Pre-Test dan Post Test yang sudah diberikan kepada 22 peserta pelatihan menunjukan hasil yang sangat baik. Dimana berdasarkan post-test yang diisi oleh 22 orang terdapat 17 orang yang mendapatkan hasil baik dengan rentan nilai 76-100, cukup 5 orang dengan nilai (56-75) hal ini jauh menunjukan peningkatan dari hasil pre-test sebelumnya, yang hanya 5 orang mendapat nilai baik Kata kunci: karang taruna;  pelatihan; public speaking.  

PENDAMPINGAN PELATIHAN SOFTWARE APLIKASI GUNA PERSIAPAN LKS DI SMK MUHAMMADIYAH SALAM

Abstract: Abstract: Community service activities carried out at Muhammadiyah Salam Vocational School (SMK Muhammadiyah Salam), Salam Subdistrict, Magelang Regency so that the X grade (1st) students of Muhammadiyah Salam Vocational… School can support computer creativity specifically for desktop applications for developing Software Engineering (RPL) skills. This service activity is carried out by using a method of mentoring for class X students through computer assistance / application programs such as database and desktop creation. The long-term goal is the preparation of class X students who have an interest in application software to participate in the Student Skills Competition (LKS) in the following period. This application software training at Muhammadiyah Vocational School does not have an RPL major, so students are selected to take part in this activity. The final output that will support this activity is student assistance in computer applications as a development aid for students in the field of programming / software engineering. In addition, the publication of the results of this service was in the community service journal             Keywords: Community Service, Software Engineering, Application Software, Programming     Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan di SMK Muhammadiyah Salam, Kecamatan Salam Kabupaten Magelang bertujuan agar para siswa kelas X SMK Muhammadiyah Salam dapat memiliki kreatifitas pada bidang komputer khususnya aplikasi desktop untuk pengembangan ketrampilan Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak (RPL). Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode pendampingan secara komprehensif kepada pada siswa kelas X melalui pendampingan program/aplikasi komputer seperti pembuatan database dan desktop. Tujuan jangka panjangnya adalah mempersiapkan siswa kelas X yang mempunyai minat di bidang software aplikasi untuk mengikuti kegiatan Lomba Kompetensi Siswa (LKS) pada periode berikutnya. Pelatihan software aplikasi ini karena di SMK Muhammadiyah tidak memiliki jurusan RPL, sehingga mahasiswa diseleksi untuk mengikuti kegiatan ini. Luaran akhir yang akan dicapai dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya kemampuan siswa dalam penggunaan aplikasi komputer sebagai alat pengembangan kreatifitas siswa dalam bidang pemrograman/rekayasa perangkat lunak. IMPLEMENTATION OF XGBOOST FOR PREDICTING STUDENT GRADUATION USING SIMULATED DATASET

Abstract: Abstract: Student graduation is an urgent matter that is an indicator of the success of a university in producing its learning output. Several factors influence student graduation such as GPA, attendance, late taking credits,… dits, and lack of student involvement in academic activities. The urgency of this research, universities need a method that is able to predict student graduation early so that it can provide academic intervention to students who have the potential to experience delays or fail to graduate. However, limited access to real academic data is often an obstacle in the development of predictive models, Therefore, this study aims to implement the XGBoost algorithm to predict student graduation based on several academic variables, namely the Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA), the number of credits taken, the percentage of attendance, and the average grade of students. Model training using the XGBoost algorithm using a simulation dataset of 500 students who are labeled as graduating into two classes, namely passed and failed. The results of the study showed that the classification performance was very good with an accuracy value of 99.6%, Precision 99.7%, recall 99.4%.      Keywords: xgboost algorithm; data mining; student graduation     Abstrak: Kelulusan mahasiswa merupakan hal urgensi yang menjadi indikator keberhasilan sebuah perguruan tinggi dalam menghasilkan output pembelajarannya. Beberapa Faktor yang mempengaruhi kelulusan mahasiswa seperti IPK, kehadiran, keterlambatan pengambilan SKS, serta kurangnya keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam aktifitas akademik. Yang menjadi urgensi penelitian ini, Perguruan tinggi memerlukan suatu metode yang mampu memprediksi kelulusan mahasiswa secara dini sehingga dapat memberikan intervensi akademik kepada mahasiswa yang berpotensi mengalami keterlambatan atau tidak lulus. Namun, keterbatasan akses terhadap data akademik riil sering menjadi kendala dalam pengembangan model prediksi, Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan mengimplementasikan algoritma XGBoost untuk memprediksi kelulusan mahasiswa berdasarkan beberapa variabel akademik, yaitu Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK), jumlah SKS yang ditempuh, persentase kehadiran, dan nilai rata-rata mahasiswa. Pelatihan model menggunakan algoritma XGBoost dengan menggunakan dataset simulasi 500 mahasiswa yang diberi label kelulusan menjadi dua kelas yaitu lulus dan tidak lulus. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa performance klasifikasi yang sangat baik dengan nilai accurasi sebesar 99,6%, Precision 99,7%, recall 99,4%. A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF MACHINE LEARNING ALGORITHMS AND USER EXPERIENCE FOR ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE PREDICTION

Abstract: This study aimed to compare the performance of machine learning algorithms and user experience in predicting students’ academic achievement. The research is motivated by the need for prediction systems that are not only… y highly accurate but also easily interpretable by users. The proposed methodology involved the implementation of two algorithms, namely Decision Tree and Random Forest, using an academic dataset that included grade point average, attendance, and assessment scores. Model performance was evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score, while user experience was assessed through the System Usability Scale (SUS) based on a simple user interface. The findings revealed that Random Forest achieved higher predictive accuracy, whereas Decision Tree provided better interpretability and ease of understanding for users. These results indicated a trade-off between model performance and user experience, suggesting that algorithm selection should consider both aspects in order to develop an effective and user-friendly academic prediction system

IMPLEMENTATION OF DESIGN THINKING SIAKAD MOBILE DESIGN WITH ADVANCED SUS ANALYSIS

Abstract: Abstract: The development of information technology has begun to enter the world of education, especially universities, one of which is the academic information system because with this system it greatly influences the learning… earning process and also in the delivery of information. A web-based academic information system is very adequate, but there are several obstacles such as in learning that does not require a laptop device, it will be very disruptive if the implementation of attendance and others is done on a mobile phone but with a web view. So this research aims to design a mobile-based UI/UX academic information system application with the hope that it can be an alternative in accessing the use of academic information systems for lecturers and students can also be accessed anytime and anywhere through mobile phones with a comfortable display. This study also tested the UI/UX design prototype to assess its feasibility. This test uses the system usability scale (SUS) method with  a convident interval validation of 95% to determine the lower and upper limits of the SUS value. For the final score of SUS obtained was 78.75, and in the 95% CI test a Lower CI of 66.27 was produced, and for the Upper CI of 91.23 so that it was given a grade of B. It can be concluded that the design developed in this study is worthy of further development. Keywords: academic information systems; design thinking; system usability scale   Abstrak: Perkembangan teknologi informasi sudah mulai masuk kedalam dunia pendidikan terutama perguruan tinggi, salah satunya sistem informasi akademik karena dengan adanya sistem ini sangat mempengarusi proses pembelajaran dan juga dalam penyampaian informasi. Sistem informasi akademik berbasis web sudah sangat memadai namun ada beberapa kendala seperti dalam pembelajaran yang tidak memerlukan perangkat laptop akan sangat menganggu jika pelaksanaan absensi dan lainya dilakukan pada ponsel tapi dengan tampilan web. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang UI/UX aplikasi sistem informasi akademik berbasis mobile dengan harapan dapat menjadi alternatif dalam akses penggunaan sistem informasi akademik bagi dosen dan mahasiswa juga dapat diakses kapan saja dan dimana saja melalui ponsel dengan tampilan yang nyaman. Penelitian ini juga melakukan pengujian terhadap prototype desain UI/UX untuk menilai kelayakannya. Pengujian ini menggunaka metode system usability scale (SUS) dengan validasi convident interval 95% untuk mengetahui batas bawah dan batas atas nilai SUS. Untuk nilai akhir SUS yang didapatkan adalah 78,75, dan dalam pengujian CI 95 % dihasilkan CI Lower 66,27, dan untuk CI Upper 91,23 Sehingga mendapat grade B. Dapat disumpulkan bahwa desain yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini layak untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut.   Kata kunci: sistem informasi akademik; desain thinking; system usability scale

STUDENT ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT CLUSTERING USING FUZZY C-MEANS ALGORITHM

Abstract: Abstract: Academic achievement mapping is an important process in higher education to support effective academic monitoring and guidance. In practice, student grouping is often conducted manually by academic staff using… simple criteria such as Grade Point Average (GPA) thresholds and subjective judgment, without systematic data analysis. This study aims to apply the Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) clustering algorithm to objectively group students based on their academic achievement levels. The dataset consists of academic records from 179 sixth-semester students of the Computer Science Study Program at Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara, where 160 eligible students are processed in the FCM calculation. Three variables are used: cumulative GPA, total completed credits, and the total number of low grades (D/E). The FCM algorithm automatically performs the mapping and groups students into three categories, namely excellent, stable, and at-risk students. Cluster quality is evaluated using the Silhouette Score and Davies–Bouldin Index, showing satisfactory clustering performance. The results indicate that the proposed approach provides a data-driven and objective basis for academic decision support.             Keywords: academic achievement; clustering; fuzzy c-means; student     Abstrak: Pemetaan pencapaian akademik mahasiswa merupakan proses penting dalam pendidikan tinggi untuk mendukung pemantauan dan pembinaan akademik yang tepat sasaran. Dalam praktiknya, pengelompokan mahasiswa masih sering dilakukan secara manual oleh pihak akademik berdasarkan kriteria sederhana, seperti batasan Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) dan penilaian subjektif, tanpa analisis data yang sistematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan menerapkan algoritma Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) untuk mengelompokkan mahasiswa secara objektif berdasarkan tingkat pencapaian akademik. Data penelitian berasal dari 179 mahasiswa semester enam Program Studi Ilmu Komputer Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara, dengan 160 mahasiswa memenuhi kriteria dan diproses menggunakan algoritma FCM. Variabel yang digunakan meliputi IPK kumulatif, jumlah SKS yang telah ditempuh, dan total nilai rendah (D/E). Proses pemetaan sepenuhnya dilakukan oleh algoritma FCM dan menghasilkan tiga kategori mahasiswa, yaitu unggul, stabil, dan berisiko. INTEGRATED AHP-TOPSIS DECISION SYSTEM FOR FAIR STUDENT PERFORMANCE EVALUATION

Abstract: Giving awards is essential to motivate students; however, selecting outstanding students at the junior high school level is often conducted manually and subjectively, which can lead to unfairness and prolonged processing… time. This study develops a Decision Support System (DSS) that integrates the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) to support objective and transparent student selection. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation at two state junior high schools in Banjarmasin City. Seven assessment criteria were applied: attendance, behavior, uniform neatness, extracurricular participation, academic grades, competition achievements, and disciplinary records. AHP was used to determine the weight of each criterion, while TOPSIS ranked students based on these weights. The web-based system was developed using PHP and MySQL and evaluated using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Results show that academic grades had the highest weight (28.5%), followed by attendance (22.3%) and competition performance (15.2%). The TAM evaluation yielded average scores of 4.32 for Perceived Ease of Use, 4.40 for Perceived Usefulness, 4.15 for Attitudes Towards Use, and 4.28 for Behavioral Intention to Use. The DSS produces accurate rankings, is well-received by users, and offers an efficient, fair, and replicable solution for data-driven educational governance in the digital era.

ARAS METHOD FOR OPTIMIZING THE DETERMINATION OF PIP FUND RECIPIENTS

Abstract: Abstract: Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP) is government assistance program aimed at supporting the education of underprivileged students. However, some PIP fund recipients are misallocated, with aid given to students who… do not fully meet the eligibility criteria, while those in greater need don’t receive it, including at SDN 014672 Tanjung Alam, Asahan Regency, North Sumatra Province. Based on this issue, a structured system is needed. The purpose of this study is to construct decision support systems for determining PIP fund recipients using Additive Ratio Assessment (ARAS) method. Data was collected using questionnaires, documentation, and observation techniques. Respondents consisted of 8 students from SDN 014672 Tanjung Alam. Criteria include number of dependents, homeownership status, attendance rate, and students final grades. System was developed using CodeIgniter 3 as framework, MySQL as database software, and InnoDB as database engine. ARAS method was applied to rank available alternatives. Based on calculations, first rank was obtained by alternative 6 (Malika Hendra As-Syifa), second rank by alternative 7 (Mutia Indah Sari), and third rank by alternative 8 (Rafa Kavindra). This study is expected to be further developed by applying other DSS methods, performing regular system maintenance, and integrating system with school data to improve accuracy and usability.       Keywords: additive ratio assessment; decision support system; smart indonesia program.    Abstrak: Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP) merupakan bantuan pemerintah untuk mendukung pendidikan siswa kurang mampu. Namun, masih ditemukan penerima anggaran PIP yang kurang tepat sasaran, di mana bantuan diberikan kepada siswa yang kurang memenuhi kriteria, sementara siswa yang lebih membutuhkan tidak menerimanya, termasuk di SDN 014672 Tanjung Alam, Kabupaten Asahan, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, dibutuhkan sebuah sistem terstruktur. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk membangun sistem pendukung keputusan penetapan pemeroleh anggaran PIP menggunakan metode Additive Ratio Assessment (ARAS). Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik angket, dokumentasi, dan observasi. Responden adalah 8 siswa SDN 014672 Tanjung Alam. Kriteria meliputi jumlah tanggungan orang tua, status kepemilikan rumah, tingkat kehadiran, dan nilai akhir siswa. Sistem dirancang menggunakan CodeIgniter 3 sebagai framework, MySQL sebagai database software, dan InnoDB sebagai database engine. Perhitungan dengan metode ARAS digunakan untuk merangking alternatif yang ada. Berdasarkan perhitungan yang dilakukan, peringkat pertama diperoleh oleh alternatif 6 yakni Malika Hendra As-Syifa, peringkat kedua diperoleh oleh alternatif 7 yakni Mutia Indah sari, dan peringkat ketiga diperoleh oleh alternatif 8 yakni Rafa Kavindra. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dikembangkan lebih lanjut dengan menerapkan metode Sistem Pendukung Keputusan (SPK) lainnya, melakukan pemeliharaan sistem secara berkala, serta mengintegrasikan sistem dengan data sekolah untuk meningkatkan keakuratan dan kemudahan penggunaan. REDESIGN GOLEK BIS APPLICATION USING UCD (USER CENTERED DESIGN) APPROACH

Abstract: Abstract: In the current digital era, transportation booking applications have become an integral part of people's daily lives. One of the preferred applications is the Suroboyo Bus Booking Application (GOBIS). GOBIS is… a platform dedicated specifically to accessing Suroboyo Bus transportation services. However, with the advancement of technology and changing user needs, the GOBIS application also needs to be adjusted to remain relevant and meet expectations. Many users have complained about the application's ambiguous interface, unclear colors, and other issues. Therefore, a redesign of this application is necessary. This study employs the User-Centered Design (UCD) method and SUS testing to obtain a new design that can be implemented. The results show a significant improvement in application usability, with the average SUS score from users after the redesign process reaching 82.25, rated as "good" with a "B" grade. Comparing it to the usability score of the previous version, which only reached 57.25 with a "poor" rating and a "D" grade, indicates a substantial improvement. Thus, the new design demonstrates a significant improvement in usability compared to the previous version.             Keywords: redesign; GOBIS aplication; user interface; UCD; system usability scale   Abstrak: Dalam era digital saat ini, aplikasi pemesanan transportasi telah menjadi bagian tak terpisahkan dari kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakat. Salah satu pilihan utama yang sering digunakan adalah Aplikasi Golek Bis (GOBIS) Suroboyo Bus. GOBIS dirancang khusus sebagai platform untuk mengakses moda transportasi Suroboyo Bus. Namun, sejalan dengan kemajuan teknologi dan evolusi kebutuhan pengguna, perlu penyesuaian agar aplikasi Golek Bis tetap relevan dan memuaskan pengguna. Banyak pengguna mengeluhkan tentang antarmuka aplikasi yang kurang jelas, warna yang ambigu, dan masalah lainnya. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan redesain aplikasi ini. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode UCD dan mengujikan SUS untuk mendapatkan desain baru yang lebih baik. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kegunaan aplikasi, dengan nilai rata-rata skor SUS pengguna setelah proses redesain mencapai 82.25, dinilai sebagai "good" dengan peringkat "B". Perbandingannya dengan nilai kegunaan versi sebelumnya yang hanya mencapai 57.25 dengan penilaian "poor" dan peringkat "D" menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan. Oleh karena itu, desain baru menunjukkan perbaikan yang berarti dalam hal kegunaan dibandingkan dengan versi sebelumnya.   Kata kunci: redesign; aplikasi GOBIS; user interface; UCD; system usability scale
