work systems is determined not only by technological readiness but also by organizational and individual factors. This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership style and organizational culture on readiness to adapt to remote work, and to examine the mediating role of individual digital readiness in this relationship. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory method. Data were collected through a Likert-scale-based questionnaire distributed online to employees working in remote or hybrid work systems using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was performed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) and PROCESS macro to test the direct relationship and mediation effects between variables. The results of this study are expected to provide theoretical contributions to the development of literature related to leadership, organizational culture, and individual digital readiness, as well as provide practical implications for organizations in designing leadership strategies, strengthening organizational culture, and developing digital competencies to improve readiness to adapt to remote work effectively and sustainably.
Abstract:Overtime has become a strong feature of modern work culture, especially in high-pressure sectors in Asia, such as manufacturing, logistics, and services. Although many studies have proven the link between long working hours…
urs and the deterioration of employee welfare, the mechanisms explaining how overtime causes an imbalance between work and personal life (Work-life Balance) have not yet been fully explored and pieced together. This narrative literature review aims to synthesize findings from key and recent studies published between 2000 and 2025. The goal is to form a conceptual framework of understanding how overtime can trigger burnout (emotional, mental, and physical exhaustion) and ultimately disrupt WLB. Based on four main theoretical foundations, namely Job Demands–Resources (JD-R), Conservation of Resources (COR), Effort Recovery Model, and Work–Home Resources Model, this review identifies three main pathway mechanisms: (1) Overtime increases job demands while simultaneously reducing opportunities for self-recovery. (2) Burnout, especially emotional exhaustion, acts as a psychological strain that mediates the effects of overtime. (3) The spillover effects of burnout trigger interference between work and home domain through time based conflicts and strain. Organizational support, job autonomy, family roles, marital status, gender and workload pressure are important moderators that can strengthen or weaken the relationship between each variable. While the theoretical contribution of this review lies in combining various perspectives into a conceptual model of the "overtime trap," its practical contribution lies in proposing implications for organizations, job redesign, fatigue management, and more adaptive work policies. Future research is expected to use longitudinal, mixed-method, and cross-cultural designs to validate, strengthen and expand this model.
Abstract:This study aims to analyze the Influence of performance appraisal on employee performance by considering the mediating role of the work environment and management style. Performance appraisal is a strategic tool in human…
resource management to assess employee achievements and provide feedback. However, its effectiveness is often influenced by the conditions of the work environment and the leadership style applied by the organization. Through a literature review of Scopus-indexed journals from 2020–2025, this study identifies the relationship between performance appraisal, work environment, management style, and employee performance. The review results show that a fair and transparent appraisal system can enhance employee motivation and performance. The work environment acts as an important mediator because comfortable and supportive conditions influence employees' responses to feedback. In addition, transformational and participative management styles strengthen the positive impact of appraisal
Abstract:Work-Life Balance is an individual’s ability to maintain equilibrium between work demands and personal life. An imbalance between these aspects can lead to stress, fatigue, and decreased motivation, which negatively affect…
fect employee performance. Based on a systematic review of 10 selected journals from a total of 135 reviewed studies, it was found that Work-Life Balance has a positive influence on employee performance. Most studies show that employees who can maintain a good balance between work and personal life tend to have higher job satisfaction, stronger organizational commitment, and increased productivity. Work-Life Balance also helps reduce stress and improve focus at work. Therefore, maintaining a balance between work and personal life is an essential factor in enhancing employee performance and overall well-being.

approach with a sample of 80 State Civil Apparatus members. The data types in this study are both primary and secondary. Data collection was done by distributing questionnaires to employees at the Regional Personnel Agency of Gorontalo Province. Data analysis was performed using simple linear regression analysis, with data processing conducted using SPSS 25. The results of this research show that e-attendance has a positive effect on the discipline of State Civil Apparatus in the Regional Personnel Agency of Gorontalo Province, with an R Square value of 0.608, meaning that 60.8% of ASN discipline is influenced by e-attendance, while the remaining 39.2% is influenced by variables not included in this study.

ys a quantitative approach with a correlational method to determine the extent to which these three variables influence employee dedication both individually and simultaneously. The research sample was selected using cluster sampling, representing the central region (Karimun Regency), eastern region (Tanjungpinang City), and western region (Natuna Regency), totaling 72 respondents, of which 52 were used as the main sample and 20 as a trial sample. The findings indicate that leadership responsibility positively affects employee dedication, emphasizing the importance of leaders who provide clear guidance, foster effective communication, and create a work environment that supports motivation and performance. Reward giving is shown to enhance Employee Dedication by motivating them to achieve work targets and strengthening organizational loyalty. Meanwhile, promotion serves as a career incentive that encourages commitment and responsibility in task execution. Simultaneous analysis shows that these three variables collectively contribute significantly to improving employee dedication. These findings underscore that a combination of responsible leadership, an effective reward system, and transparent promotion policies can strengthen loyalty, commitment, and work ethic among employees in the Ministry of Religious Affairs. This study provides important implications for human resource management development in the public sector, particularly in strategies aimed at enhancing employee performance and dedication through appropriate managerial policies.

itions, use of working time, work standards, and work stress was measured through indicators of task demands, role demands, organizational leadership, and interpersonal demands. The research population consisted of 36 people with a saturated sampling technique. Primary data were obtained from Likert-scale questionnaires. Based on the results of data analysis conducted, it was found that the research data met the normality assumption, as indicated by a significant value of 0.087, meaning that the data were normally distributed. In addition, the results of the linearity test showed a significance value of deviation from linearity of 0.500, which means that the relationship between workload and work stress is linear. Furthermore, the results of the simple linear regression test showed that there was a relationship between workload and work stress with a result of 0.534, meaning that there is a fairly strong relationship between workload and work stress.

a case study approach in administrative services in Tamalate District. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with government employees and service users, direct observation of the service process, and analysis of relevant documents. The results of the study indicate that the work ethics of government employees in providing public services is still not optimal. Some employees exhibit unprofessional behavior, such as slow service delivery, lack of empathy towards the public, and low transparency in the service process. However, there are also employees who demonstrate positive behavior, such as providing clear and accurate information, and praying friendly and patient in serving the public. This study concludes that improving the work ethics of government employees is essential through public service ethics training programs, strict supervision, and regular evaluation and monitoring of employee performance. This effort is crucial to ensure public services meet the standards of professionalism, transparency, and accountability as mandated by Law Number 25 of 2009. The results of this study are expected to contribute to improving the quality of public services in Tamalate District and serve as a reference for similar research in the future.
