Juwita, Nazwa Alyanda Putri, Luri Nursucita, Nita Kurnia Sari, Hera Azhari Bangun, Maisahara Dalimunthe, Elfira Ramhadani
This study aims to analyze the content of exercises and questions representing higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) in the Mathematics textbook for grade VII junior high school published by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology as teaching materials for the Independent Curriculum. Anifarka & Rosnawati (2023) stated that a quality textbook should be able to facilitate students' cognitive development in line with the established learning outcomes. The method applied in this study is content analysis with a qualitative descriptive approach. The analysis instrument refers to the cognitive dimensions C4 (Analyzing), C5 (Evaluating), and C6 (Creating) based on the revised Bloom's taxonomy by Anderson & Krathwohl (2001). The research findings indicate that of a total of 485 questions and activities spread across six chapters, 147 items (30.31%) are classified as HOTS. The highest HOTS distribution was found in Chapter 5 on Linear Equations and Inequalities with One Variable (38.46%), while the lowest was in Chapter 1 on Numbers (22.80%). The most dominant cognitive level is C4-Analyzing (58.50%), followed by C5-Evaluating (28.57%), and C6-Creating (12.93%). This finding indicates that the Independent Curriculum textbooks have integrated HOTS more systematically than the previous curriculum (Fanani, 2018), although the proportion needs to be increased to meet the demands of 21st-century learning.

Tasyabbuh dalam Perayaan Valentine: Kajian Hadis dan Persepsi Generasi Z Muslim Indonesia

Gabrani, Pastrian, Nasrulloh Nasrulloh
Abstract: This study examines the Islamic legal status of Valentine's Day celebrations through a hadith based approach and explores how Indonesian Muslims understand the phenomenon. The study addresses the tension between the prohibition… ibition of tasyabbuh in the hadith “Man tasyabbaha bi qaumin fahuwa minhum” and the growing practice of Valentine's Day celebrations among young Muslims. Using a sequential mixed-methods design, the study combines desk research including analysis of the sanad, matn, and fiqh of hadith from six journal articles and one primary hadith source with an online survey of 47 Indonesian Muslims aged 16–28 selected through purposive and snowball sampling. The textual analysis found that the hadith is hasan (Islamic law) and that the prohibition of tasyabbuh specifically relates to the imitation of religious symbols and rituals, not all forms of cultural practices. The survey findings support this conclusion: most respondents understand the hadith (80.9%), have never actively celebrated Valentine's Day (89.3%), and believe the prohibition applies primarily to religious or symbolic imitation (55.3%). This study concludes that the primary concern among contemporary Indonesian Muslims is not the religious origins of Valentine's Day, but rather the associated practices, particularly khalwat, which risk violating sharia principles.

Differences in Growth and Yield Responses of Several Cayenne Pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) Varieties in Cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.) Interrows

Nazatul Bairia, Hilda Pratiwi, Mizan Maulana
Abstract: This study aimed to analyze the response of several cayenne pepper varieties (Capsicum frutescens L.) on the growth and yield of cayenne pepper cultivated in the cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.) alley cropping system. The research… arch was conducted from April to July 2025 at Mon Jambe Village, Jeumpa District, and the Kopbun Suka Tani Sejahtera Business Research Center, Kota Juang District, Bireuen Regency. The experiment employed a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with four varieties as treatments and three replications, resulting in 12 experimental units. The tested varieties were Rajo, Genie, Bara, and Tetra Hijau. Data were collected through observations of plant height, number of leaves, number of fruits, fruit weight, and fresh biomass weight, and were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) to determine differences among treatments. The results showed that the varietal factor had a highly significant effect on leaf number and a significant effect on fruit number and fruit weight. The Bara variety exhibited the most adaptive and productive performance under the cocoa alley cropping system, as indicated by superior vegetative growth and yield compared to other varieties. The novelty of this study lies in emphasizing that varietal selection is a key factor in optimizing the utilization of cocoa alley spaces for cayenne pepper cultivation. These findings are expected to provide a scientific basis for developing cayenne pepper cultivation technologies in cocoa alley systems and to serve as a reference for further research on adaptive variety development under such environmental conditions.

Principles of Emotions Affecting Learning and Social Learning in Elementary School

Resyi Abdul Gani, Asep Supena
Abstract: This study aims to develop a comprehensive constellation model and identify optimal strategies for strengthening lecturers’ professional commitment in the largest private universities in Bogor. Penelitian ini mengkaji secara… secara mendalam bagaimana emosi dan belajar sosial memengaruhi proses pembelajaran di sekolah dasar melalui perspektif neuropedagogik dan brain‑based learning. A mixed methods approach was used by combining quantitative analysis (meta-analysis of 173 respondents and 47 indicators of NP, EC, OB, MS, BS) and descriptive qualitative analysis using thematic analysis techniques on semi-structured interviews with five elementary school teachers. The meta-analysis results showed a very strong average effect of the latent construct relationship (t(128) = 12.92; p < 0.001; r ≈ 1.00) with almost zero heterogeneity (Qₑ(128) = 1.67; τ² = 0; I² = 0%), and no significant moderating effects were found for all indicators; the partial meta-regression coefficients for all items were very close to zero and the R² value was 0.000. Qualitatively, three main themes emerged: (1) positive emotions as the foundation of learning readiness, (2) social interaction as a reinforcement of meaning formation, and (3) contextual learning that integrates cognitive, emotional, and social dimensions. Although most teachers have not yet mastered the concepts of neuropedagogy and brain-based learning theoretically, they have intuitively implemented its principles through motivation, praise, humor, group work, collaborative projects, and learning experiences relevant to students' real lives. These findings support the latest theory that places emotions and social interactions as the main drivers of brain function in learning (Immordino Yang, 2016; Tyng et al., 2017; Vygotsky, 1978; Jensen, 2008), and emphasizes the importance of strengthening teachers' competence in understanding and designing brain- and emotion-based learning to support the holistic development of elementary school students.

Optimizing The Strengthening Of Lecturer’s Professional Commitment Based On Local Wisdom And Organizational Support

Fitri Anjaswuri, Soewarto Hardhienata, Suhendra Suhendra
Abstract: This study aims to construct an integrated constellation model and determine optimal strategies for reinforcing lecturers’ professional commitment at leading private universities in Bogor. Utilizing the POP-SDM (Modeling… ng and Optimization of Management Resources) framework, the research integrates elements of local wisdom and organizational support within a systemic approach to human resource development. The exploratory qualitative phase involved in-depth interviews and focus group discussions to uncover major determinants influencing professional commitment. From the thematic analysis, four principal variables emerged—teamwork, organizational climate, religiosity, and work motivation—which were validated through expert judgment. Quantitative verification was subsequently performed using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique to examine both direct and indirect relationships among constructs. The analysis confirmed that all variables exert positive and significant effects on lecturers’ professional commitment, with work motivation being the most dominant factor. To refine improvement priorities, the SITOREM (Scientific Identification Theory for Conducting Operational Research in Educational Management) method was applied, identifying indicators that should be improved, maintained, or further developed. The findings offer empirical and practical insights, including: (1) a validated POP-SDM–based commitment model combining cultural and organizational dimensions; (2) evidence-based strategies to enhance lecturer professionalism; and (3) an optimization framework to guide sustainable lecturer development in higher education institutions.

Analysis of the Influence of Audit Service Quality on Auditee Satisfaction in the Internal Audit Division

Zulhendrianto, Khairani Ratnasari Siregar
Abstract: The increasing complexity and dynamics of the business environment at local, regional, and global levels have driven PT PLN (Persero)’s Internal Audit Unit (SPI) to adopt a Purpose-Driven Internal Audit approach, positioning… ioning the audit function as a strategic partner for long-term organizational success. However, the Internal Stakeholder Satisfaction Index for assurance services in the Construction, Generation, and New Renewable Energy Audit Division (AKP) fell short of its targets in 2023 and 2024. This study aims to analyze the impact of audit service quality—comprising tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy—on auditee satisfaction. Using a quantitative approach with PLS-SEM and Importance–Performance Map Analysis (IPMA), data were collected from AKP Division auditees in 2024. The results show that all dimensions of audit service quality positively and significantly influence satisfaction, with responsiveness and empathy being the most dominant factors. The findings offer practical insights for SPI PLN in prioritizing service improvements based on user perceptions and provide theoretical support for the SERVQUAL model as a key psychological mechanism in fostering satisfaction within trust-based professional services
