PRESERVING JUDGEMENT OF TOPENG PANJI CIREBON FROM INDONESIAN TO ENGLISH: AN APPRAISAL ANALYSIS OF TRANSLATION TECHNIQUE

Abstract: This study investigates translation techniques used in rendering judgment evaluation from Indonesian into English at Topeng Gegesik book. The research focuses on the characterization of Topeng Panji Cirebon. The study applies… plies (Molina & Albir, 2012) translation techniques framework to identify how judgment meanings are transferred into English. Using a qualitative descriptive method, the data consist of clauses containing judgment expressions in Indonesian and its translation in English. The findings reveal that translation techniques such as modulation, amplification, established equivalence and literal translation are predominantly employed to preserve positive judgment values especially normality and propriety. The study demonstrates that translation technique choices significantly influence the maintenance of cultural values, moral evaluation, and character identity. This research contributes to translation studies by integrating appraisal theory with translation techniques in the context of traditional cultural texts.

SMART THEACING WITH AI IN LEARNING DEVELOPMENT

Abstract: The rapid digital transformation in education has redefined the role of teachers, necessitating the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance pedagogical efficiency. This study aims to analyze the needs of primary… rimary school teachers regarding AI, describe the implementation of AI-assisted smart teaching training, and evaluate its impact on teachers' professional competence and the quality of produced instructional tools. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative approach with a field study design, the research was conducted at UPTD SD Negeri 33 Bangai. Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis of teaching modules and worksheets. The subjects were selected via purposive sampling, and data were analyzed using the interactive model of reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that AI-assisted smart teaching training effectively shifts teachers from passive technology users to active pedagogical designers. Findings reveal a paradigm shift where teachers perceive AI as "augmenting intelligence" that strengthens rather than replaces their professional role. The instructional tools produced post-training showed significant improvements in systematic alignment and the integration of Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Grounded in adult learning and experiential learning theories, this practice-based model fosters greater learning autonomy and reflective practice. This study contributes empirical evidence for the primary education context, suggesting that human-centered and pedagogically-driven AI integration is a vital strategy for teacher professional development in the digital era.

THE IMPACT OF FIELD STUDY ACTIVITIES ON TEACHING MODULE DEVELOPMENT AND TEACHER COMPETENCE

Abstract: Field study activities are an important part of experiential learning in teacher education. This study aims to examine the impact of field study activities on teaching module development and teacher competence. The research… rch employed a qualitative descriptive approach involving graduate students and teachers participating in field study programs. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis of teaching modules. The findings indicate that field study activities positively influence the development of contextual teaching modules and enhance teachers’ pedagogical, professional, and social competences. The study concludes that field study activities support continuous professional development and improve instructional practices. These findings provide practical implications for teacher education programs.

DEVELOPMENT OF DEEP LEARNING LEARNING APPROACH IN IMPROVING CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS AND MASTERY OF LANGUAGE CONCEPTS IN GRADE IV STUDENTS OF SDN 16 BANGKALA

Abstract: This research aims to develop Indonesian learning tools based on the Deep Learning approach  to improve critical thinking skills and mastery of language concepts of elementary school students. The research was carried out&#8230; ut at SDN 16 Bangkala, Jeneponto Regency, in the odd semester of the 2025/2026 school year with 25 subjects in grade IV. The development model used is the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. The validation results of three experts showed that the teaching modules developed were classified as very valid with an average feasibility level of 89%. The implementation of learning using Deep Learning syntax (Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate) shows an increase in student activity and involvement in the learning process. Based on the results of the data analysis, the average value of critical thinking skills increased from 61.2 to 83.6 with an N-Gain of 0.58 (medium-high category), while the mastery of language concepts increased from 63.4 to 86.8 with an N-Gain of 0.63 (high category). The results of the t-test showed p < 0.05 which means that there was a significant increase after the implementation of Deep Learning-based learning. Thus, it can be concluded that the Indonesian teaching module based  on the Deep Learning approach  is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills and mastery of language concepts. This approach is able to create learning that is aware, meaningful, and fun, and in line with the principles of the Independent Curriculum which emphasizes differentiated and student-centered learning.

DEVELOPMENT OF A MATHEMATICS LEARNING MODULE WITH THE MISSOURI MATHEMATICS PROJECT (MMP) MODEL ON THE TOPIC OF ALGEBRAIC FUNCTION LIMITS FOR GRADE XI MA AL-JUNAIDIYAH, DISTRICT MANDAILING NATAL

Abstract: This research is driven by the limited use of mathematics learning tools such as teaching modules in schools. At MA Al-Junaidiyah in Mandailing Natal Regency, learning still largely relies on textbooks based on the 2006&#8230; curriculum, resulting in low student achievement in mathematics, particularly in the topic of algebraic function limits. This study aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of a Mathematics Learning Module developed using the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) Model for the topic of Algebraic Function Limits for Grade XI students at MA Al-Junaidiyah. The research follows the Research and Development (R&D) methodology with the ADDIE development model comprising five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Module validation involved experts in content, media, and language. The trial was conducted with 23 students of class XI-2. Two validators were assigned for each area. Results showed that the module achieved an overall validity score of 84.29%, categorized as valid. Its practicality reached 89.75%, categorized as practical. Student learning effectiveness reached 47%, showing the module is effective in improving learning outcomes. Therefore, the module is deemed feasible, engaging, and beneficial for enhancing student achievement.

FULL DAY SCHOOL VS. MODULAR EDUCATION SYSTEM: A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF INDONESIA AND THE UNITED KINGDOM

Abstract: The transformation of Indonesia's education system faces significant challenges in aligning with the demands of globalization, digitalization, and lifelong learning. These challenges have sparked debates regarding the effectiveness&#8230; fectiveness of the full-day school model and the modular education system. This study aims to comparatively analyze these two approaches within the context of primary and secondary education in Indonesia, referencing modular education practices in the United Kingdom as an international benchmark. The study employs a qualitative approach based on a literature review, utilizing thematic content analysis of 20 accredited scholarly sources selected through strict inclusion criteria, and analyzed with the assistance of NVivo software to ensure thematic accuracy.The findings indicate that the full-day school model excels in fostering discipline and consistent learning structures; however, it poses risks of cognitive fatigue and is less supportive of differentiated instruction. In contrast, the modular system offers flexibility, opportunities for personalized learning, and deeper conceptual understanding, yet requires adequate digital infrastructure and self-directed learning literacy, which are not evenly distributed.The study concludes that no single educational model is universally superior; instead, each holds contextual relevance. This research contributes theoretically by enriching the comparative education literature and practically by informing the design of more adaptive, inclusive, and responsive learning policies to meet the challenges of the 21st century, while also supporting efforts to achieve quality education as outlined in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

ANALYSIS OF DIFFERENTIATED LEARNING OF PANCASILA EDUCATION SUBJECTS AT UPT SPF SMP NEGERI 3 MAKASSAR

Abstract: In the implementation of the Independent Curriculum, we recognize the existence of a differentiated learning approach. Differentiated learning is a process of different learning treatments, both in terms of content, process,&#8230; ess, and product carried out by teachers according to the level of readiness, needs, and learning styles of each student. This study aims to analyze how Pancasila education subject teachers prepare and implement differentiated learning at the UPT SPF SMP Negeri 3 Makassar. The number of informants in this study was 5 people consisting of 3 key informants and 2 additional informants. The data collection technique was by conducting observations, interviews and documentation. This research is a descriptive Qualitative study. The results of this study indicate that the way Pancasila education teachers prepare differentiated learning is: 1.1.) Making questions, compiling or preparing initial assessment instruments; 1.2.) Carrying out and analyzing initial assessments; and 1.3.) Making teaching modules. 2) The process of implementing differentiated learning is carried out by Pancasila education teachers, namely: 2.1.) Mapping or forming groups of students based on the results of the initial assessment; and 2.1.) Carrying out the differentiated learning process in terms of content, process, and product.

Abstract: Artikel ini membahas tentang pemanfaatan teknologi sistem informasi geografis (GIS). Dalam pembelajaran pemasaran guna meningkatkan daya saing nilai Marketing. Tujuan pengembangan kursus pemasaran berbasis GIS adalah, (1)&#8230; ) untuk mengajar keterampilan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah pemasaran dengan menggunakan teknologi GIS sebagai dasarnya pengambilan keputusan, (2) meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam berkomunikasi atau menyajikan masalah bisnis mereka menggunakan citra visual seperti peta dan grafik. Di dalam artikel penulis juga mengusulkan tujuh modul pemasaran berbasis GIS antara lain a modul adalah prinsip-prinsip pemasaran, manajemen ritel, perilaku konsumen, riset pemasaran, e-commerce, manajemen penjualan dan pemasaran terpadu komunikasi.

Implementasi Web-Based E-Absensi Dengan Metode Scrum pada Pondok Pesantren Baitussalam

Abstract: This study discusses the implementation of a web-based student e-attendance system at Baitussalam Islamic Boarding School using the Scrum method. This system was developed to replace manual attendance recording, which is&#8230; inefficient, error-prone, and complicates the reporting process. The application of the Scrum method aims to ensure that the system development is structured, adaptive to change, and meets user needs. The e-attendance system has key features including multi-level authentication (admin, teacher, and principal), data management for students, teachers, classes, subjects, teaching schedules, semesters, attendance processes, reporting, and teacher performance monitoring. Testing was conducted using the blackbox testing method on eleven main modules. The test results showed that all system functions ran well without major errors. The system has been proven to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and transparency of attendance recording, as well as facilitate reporting. However, the system still has limitations, such as dependence on an internet connection and lack of integration with other systems.

The Metaanalysis of the Analgesic Effect of Electroencephalographic Neurofeedback for People with Chronic Pain

Abstract: Chronic pain represents a major global health burden and often remains resistant to conventional pharmacological treatment, prompting the exploration of alternative therapeutic strategies. Electroencephalographic (EEG) neurofeedback&#8230; eurofeedback has emerged as a non-invasive neuromodulatory intervention that enables patients to self-regulate brain activity and potentially alleviate persistent pain symptoms. This systematic review addresses the research problem of inconsistent evidence regarding the clinical efficacy and underlying mechanisms of EEG-based neurofeedback for chronic pain management in adults. A comprehensive analysis of 80 studies involving adults with chronic pain lasting at least three months was conducted, examining neurofeedback protocols, clinical pain outcomes, neurophysiological changes, secondary benefits, and methodological quality. Findings revealed heterogeneous results, with several studies reporting statistically significant and clinically meaningful pain reduction, particularly in conditions such as chemotherapy-induced neuropathy, fibromyalgia, and chronic back pain. Observed neurophysiological changes, including increased alpha power and modified connectivity in pain-related brain regions, were sometimes associated with clinical improvement, alongside reported benefits in sleep quality, mood, and overall well-being. However, evidence from sham-controlled randomized trials showed no significant differences between intervention and control groups, highlighting methodological limitations and challenges in blinding procedures. The review concludes that EEG neurofeedback is a safe and feasible intervention with potential therapeutic value for chronic pain, although current evidence remains inconsistent. The novelty of this study lies in its integrative evaluation of clinical outcomes, neurophysiological mechanisms, and protocol-specific effects, while emphasizing the need for personalized approaches, biomarker identification, and rigorous experimental designs to clarify efficacy and optimize treatment implementation.
