MODIFICATION OF TYRE MACHINE SYSTEM WITH MITSUBISHI PLC AUTOMATIC FOOT LENGTH GAUGE

Abstract: One of the steps in the tyre manufacturing process is the Tyre Building Machine. The tread is the last component to be fitted to the tyre carcass after all other components have been installed. When measuring the length… of the pre-adjusted tread, errors or variations often occur in the measurements taken by the measuring device due to its lack of accuracy. This prevents operators from using the tyre tread and can result in a large amount of scrap and wasted time during the tyre manufacturing process. To overcome this problem, a redesigned tread length measurement system with a higher level of accuracy was created to minimise tread length fluctuations during tyre manufacturing. The results of the tread length measurement procedure using the ENC-1-1-24-N type rotary encoder can function according to the program created. This is validated by the tread length measurement data. The results of the HMI display design and the software created can operate according to the desired instructions. To change the tread length, the operator only needs to enter the number on the HMI panel.

COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF WASTE MANAGEMENT POLICY IMPLEMENTATION (A CASE STUDY BETWEEN PEKANBARU CITY AND PADANG CITY)

Abstract: Waste management problems in Indonesia have become a crucial challenge, especially in major cities. This study aims to analyze the comparative implementation of waste management policies in Pekanbaru City and Padang City… using the George C. Edward III policy implementation model. This qualitative research with a literature study approach analyzes four variables: communication, resources, bureaucratic structure, and disposition. The results show that Pekanbaru City faces significant constraints in all four variables, with a waste management achievement of 66.49% and even experiencing a waste emergency status in 2025. In contrast, Padang City achieved 94.02% and received various international awards. This difference is caused by more effective policy communication, massive community empowerment through 182 waste banks, strong fiscal commitment with a budget of Rp 70 billion, solid multi-stakeholder coordination, and a high implementer disposition in Padang City.

COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT THROUGH THE UTILIZATION OF PLASTIC WASTE INTO ECOBRICKS AS AN EFFORT TO REDUCE PLASTIC WASTE IN SIKALANG VILLAGE, SAWAHLUNTO, WEST SUMATRA

Abstract: This community service research focuses on empowering the Sikalang Village community in household plastic waste management through ecobrick creation, serving as a concrete solution to reduce waste and preserve the ecosystem.… tem. Conducted over 30 days (June 17 - July 17, 2025) using a Participatory Action Research approach, the activities encompassed planning, door-to-door socialization, plastic waste collection and compaction into bottles, and the assembly of ecobricks into the "SIKALANG" village sign, followed by evaluation and monitoring. The findings reveal a significant increase in community awareness and participation, with a drastic reduction in plastic waste accumulation and the creation of valuable products. This success demonstrates that direct community involvement in waste management is more effective, while also providing productive avenues for residents. Therefore, such empowerment initiatives are highly recommended for broader implementation to achieve a clean and prosperous environment through self-managed waste.

THE PLASTIC WASTE CRISIS IN INDONESIA AND THAILAND: CHALLENGES, ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS, AND SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS

Abstract: The plastic waste crisis in Indonesia and Thailand is one of the biggest environmental challenges in Southeast Asia, triggered by increased plastic consumption due to urbanization, economic growth and modern lifestyles.… This study aims to analyze the challenges, environmental impacts, and sustainable solutions related to plastic waste management in both countries. The method used is qualitative analysis based on secondary data from scientific literature, reports of international institutions. The results show that Indonesia faces serious problems in plastic waste management that cause marine pollution to other countries, while Thailand struggles with the high volume of domestic and imported plastic waste. The resulting environmental impacts include damage to marine ecosystems, threats to biodiversity, and human health risks from microplastics. Recommended solutions include the implementation of national regulations that support sustainability principles, 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) strategies, promotion of eco-friendly packaging, and public education to reduce the use of single-use plastics. The study concludes that regional collaboration among ASEAN countries is needed to effectively address the plastic waste crisis to protect ecosystems and human health in the long term.

DIVERSIFICATION OF TOFU WASTE INTO TEMPE GEMBOS AND TEMPE RAGI IN TELUK SENTOSA VILLAGE

Abstract: The diversification of tofu waste into soft tempeh and tempeh starter in Teluk Sentosa Village aims to optimize the utilization of tofu waste while increasing community income. Through participatory training, the community… ty is taught techniques for processing tofu waste into value-added products. The results indicate that the produced soft tempeh has a tender texture and high nutritional value, while the tempeh starter shows good fermentation activity. Marketing these products has led to a significant income increase of approximately 30% within three months post-training. Additionally, this initiative contributes to waste reduction and enhances community awareness regarding sustainable resource management. It is hoped that this program can continue and provide positive impacts on the economy and environment in the village.  

PERHITUNGAN CADANGAN BATUBARA DENGAN MINE SOFTWARE MINESCAPE 5.12 PADA PT SAPTAINDRA SEJATI TANJUNG TABALONG KALIMANTAN SELATAN

Abstract: ABSTRAK   Dalam bidang pertambangan, pengolahan data sangat penting karena deposit bahan galian tersebar tidak merata di dalam bumi. Penggunaan program Minescape mampu meningkatkan semua aspek informasi teknik suatu site tambang,… u site tambang, mulai dari data eksplorasi, survey geologis, sampai ke jadwal produksi tambang, dan mengelola model-model geologi tiga dimensi serta desain tambang dengan sistem grafik CAD 3D. Metode yang digunakan adalah pengumpulan data numerik serta analisis data yang dapat diukur yang mencakup data topografi, data modelling batubara, dan design tambang. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam kategori penelitian deskriptif yaitu observasi langsung di lapangan dengan menggunakan data kuantitatif. Dari perhitungan dengan menggunakan Software Minescape 5.12 diperoleh total waste sebesar 1.700.898,91 Bcm dan batubara sebesar 242.840,92 Ton. Hasil perhitungan dari volume dan tonase diketahui nilai nisbah pengupasan atau stripping ratio sebesar 7,00.   Kata Kunci : Pertambangan, Permodelan, Minescape, Batubara Abstract In the field of mining, data processing is crucial due to the uneven distribution of mineral deposits within the earth. The utilisation of the Minescape programme can enhance all aspects of technical information for a mining site, from exploration data and geological surveys to the mining production schedule, and managing three-dimensional geological models and mine designs with the CAD 3D graphics system. The methods used include numerical data collection and measurable data analysis, encompassing topographic data, coal modelling data, and mine design. This research falls into the category of descriptive research, involving direct field observations using quantitative data. Calculations using Minescape Software 5.12 revealed a total waste of 1,700,898.91 Bcm and coal of 242,840.92 tonnes. PENILAIAN HASIL CYSTATIN C PADA PASIEN GANGGUAN FUNGSI GINJAL DI LABORATORIUM PRODIA CIBUBUR

Abstract: Kidney function disorders refer to a condition where the kidneys' ability to filter metabolic waste from the blood and excrete it through urine is compromised. Cystatin C serves as a sensitive and specific biomarker for… measuring glomerular filtration rate, accurately reflecting kidney function. This study aims to evaluate Cystatin C levels based on gender among patients with kidney function disorders at the Prodia Cibubur clinic laboratory. The research was conducted from February to March 2023 using a descriptive cross-sectional approach. The sample comprised 120 patients with kidney function disorders selected through total sampling. The findings indicate that 16 patients (13.3%) had normal Cystatin C levels, while 104 patients (86.7%) had elevated Cystatin C levels. Notably, among males, 61 individuals (50.8%) tended to exhibit higher Cystatin C levels, suggesting a greater potential for kidney function disorders due to factors such as activity intensity, body mass influence, and hormonal factors.

GERAKAN PEDULI LINGKUNGAN DALAM PERSPEKTIF HUMAN SECURITY DAN KONSEPSI ISLAM DI KELURAHAN TIRTA SIAK KOTA PEKANBARU

Abstract: One of the causes of environmental damage is the presence of piles of rubbish which can cause flooding and ultimately disrupt human survival. In Pekanbaru City, there are areas that have quite worrying waste problems, namely… mely RT 03, RW 05, Tirta Siak Village, Payung Sekaki District, Pekanbaru City. Almost every day rubbish can be seen scattered in residential areas. This describes the lack of public awareness and concern regarding the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness. The aim of this community service activity is firstly to provide knowledge of non-traditional threats, especially human security issue to residents of RT 03 RW 05, Tirta Siak Village, Payung Sekaki District, Pekanbaru City. Second, increase citizens' insight into Islamic conceptions of environmental cleanliness, and third, grow and increase citizens' awareness and concern in solving waste problems. Service activities start from the observation stage, carrying out counseling, recruiting volunteers, and monitoring. The result of this service activity is that residents' knowledge about the threat of environmental damage and good waste management techniques has increased. The increase in knowledge can be seen in the questionnaire results which reached 83%. Apart from that, residents' awareness and concern for environmental cleanliness is also starting to be seen from implementing the 4R concept in daily life and the formation of environmental care movement by carrying out routine mutual cooperation actions and monitoring the environment.

Pemanfaatan Sampah Organik menjadi Kompos di Perumahan Bukit Permata Sumbari II Pekanbaru

Abstract: Households, as the smallest environment in society, contribute to the generation of waste. To reduce the occurrence of soil, water and air pollution in the environment due to household waste, organic waste can be processed… ed into compost.  The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge of partners through awareness and demonstration and invite the community to manage organic waste in their environment to be composted. The service was conducted in Bukit Permata Sumbari II Housing located in Pekanbaru. The partners are housewives who live in the housing with a total of 15 people. Activity methods include awareness raising, counseling, demonstration and evaluation. The knowledge and understanding of housewives in Bukit Permata Sumbari II Housing towards processing household waste into compost increased by 23.70%. Participants had basic knowledge about the utilization of household waste into compost by 69.63%, while after counseling it increased to 93.33%.  Housewives have the skills and are able to make compost, although the results are not optimal because the organic waste is still large, so the composting process takes a long time.

Social and Economic Impact of Industrialization Nickel Mining on The Community (Study of Wonuamorome Village, Konawe Regency)

Abstract: The aims of this research are: 1) To determine the social impact of nickel mining on the community in Wonuamorome Village, Puriala District, Konawe Regency. 2) To determine the economic impact of nickel mining on the community… munity in Wonuamorome Village, Puriala District, Konawe Region? The technique used in selecting informants in this research was purposive sampling. The informants selected were key informants, namely the village head and a community figure, as well as additional informants consisting of two company officials, four employees who lived in Wonua Morome Village, and four community members. So the total informants in this investigation were 12 people, and several key informants came from village officials. The emergence of industrial areas in an area is believed to bring positive and negative factors to the lives of people in that area, such as positive social impacts, namely that industry can provide employment opportunities for local residents. The presence of the business world in Wonua Morome Village opens up employment opportunities for the local community. And the negative social aspect is contact with crocodiles which can cause social conflict. The presence of the business world in Wonua Morome Village has led to land conflicts between immigrants and local residents. The positive economic impact is to increase village cash income. The presence of businesses in Wonua Morome Village increases the village's cash income. Negative economic impacts include industrial waste which is dangerous for the environment and pollutes people's agricultural land, causing losses.
