In some cases, harsh legal crackdowns on narcotics have led to human rights violations, such as arbitrary arrest and detention, as well as the use of force by security forces. On the other hand, some countries have tried alternative approaches, including decriminalization or legalization of narcotics, with the aim of reducing the negative impact on individuals. This research uses a normative approach. The conclusion from this research is that it is important to maintain a balance between efforts to prevent and handle narcotics with protecting individual human rights. Effective implementation of narcotics policies must take into account the basic rights of individuals and seek to reduce negative social impacts. This research underlines the need for a holistic and sustainable approach in dealing with narcotics issues without compromising human rights

c focus on Theme–Rheme structure, the study analyses a BBC news report published in November 2023 on the Russian Supreme Court’s decision to designate the so-called “international LGBT movement” as an extremist organization. Using a qualitative textual approach, the text is segmented into clauses and analyzed to identify patterns of thematic choice and progression. The findings reveal a consistent foregrounding of institutional actors, such as state authorities and legal bodies, in Theme position when reporting legal actions and policy decisions, while members of the LGBT community and civil society figures are predominantly thematized in clauses expressing reactions, personal experiences, and anticipated consequences. This asymmetric thematic distribution constructs a discourse in which state authority is positioned as the primary agent of action, whereas affected social groups are framed as respondents to institutional power. The study demonstrates that ideological meanings in news discourse may be realized implicitly through grammatical organization rather than explicit evaluative language, and it highlights the value of Theme–Rheme analysis for examining power relations in contemporary international news reporting.

This study aims to analyze the multilingual communication practices of Central Java–West Java border communities and to explain the role of language in representing community social identity. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature review method supported by social-contextual reflection. Data were obtained from various scientific sources discussing multilingual communication, social identity, intercultural communication, bilingualism, and multilingualism. The analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, theme categorization, meaning interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that border communities flexibly use Javanese, Sundanese, and Indonesian according to the context of interaction, social relations, and communication needs. The practices of code switching and code mixing are important parts of daily communication as forms of social and cultural adaptation. In addition, language use functions as a symbol of cultural identity, a means of identity negotiation, and a mechanism of social integration in a multicultural environment. The findings affirm that multilingual communication is a representation of dynamic social identity and reflects the ability of border communities to maintain social harmony amid cultural diversity.

Dampak dari kejahatan ini mencakup kerugian finansial, kerusakan reputasi, gangguan emosional, hingga potensi ancaman terhadap keamanan nasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penyebab pencurian data dan informasi pribadi, menganalisis dampaknya terhadap korban, serta mengevaluasi upaya perlindungan hukum yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode yuridis normatif, yaitu pendekatan yang berfokus pada studi terhadap aturan hukum yang berlaku, bahan kepustakaan, dan dokumen-dokumen resmi lainnya. Metode ini dilakukan dengan cara menganalisis peraturan perundang-undangan, seperti Undang-Undang Nomor 27 Tahun 2022 tentang Perlindungan Data Pribadi (UU PDP), serta berbagai kebijakan dan regulasi terkait perlindungan data pribadi di Indonesia. Selain itu, upaya pemerintah mencakup peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat, penegakan hukum, serta penyediaan mekanisme penyelesaian sengketa bagi korban kejahatan siber. Dengan adanya regulasi yang lebih ketat dan penguatan perlindungan hukum, diharapkan pencurian data dapat diminimalkan, dan korban mendapatkan perlindungan serta keadilan yang layak.

Kasus pornografi cenderung lebih merugikan perempuan jika dibandingkan dengan laki-laki. Perempuan seringkali menjadi pihak yang paling dipersalahkan sekaligus paling dirugikan..Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yuridis empiris. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui problematika dalam pelaksanaan perlindungan hukum terhadap perempuan korban tindak pidana pornografi menggunakan media internet di tingkat penyidikan di unit PPA Polres Sukoharjo dan upaya perlindungan terhadap perempuan korban tindak pidana pornografi menggunakan media internet. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu problematika dalam pelaksanaan perlindungan terhadap perempuan korban tindak pidana pornografi menggunakan media internet di tingkat penyidikan di Unit PPA Polres Sukoharjo yaitu: 1. Gadget (media untuk membuat, menyimpan, dan/atau menyebarkan) rusak atau dijual, 2. Keberatan jika gadget disita, 3. Korban merasa itu aib, 4. Korban dan pelaku hanya saling mengenal melalui sosmed atau dating app, saat akan dilacak akun sudah dihapus dan 5. Sarana dan Prasarana yang kurang memadai. Upaya perlindungan terhadap perempuan korban tindak pidana pornografi menggunakan media internet diwujudkan melalui kehadiran berbagai peraturan dan perundang-undangan. Peraturan terkait tindak pidana pornografi sejauh ini telah mendapatkan aturan secara khusus dalam Undang-Undang ITE dan Undang-Undang Pornografi. Kejahatan kesusilaan juga telah diatur dalam Bab XIV KUHP.
