PETROLOGICAL AND PETROGRAPHIC CHARACTERISTICS OF BUTON ROCK ASPHALT (ASBUTON) TRAP ROCK IN THE WINNING AREA OF BUTON REGENCY

Isman Saleh
Abstract: This study aims to identify the petrological and petrographical characteristics of carbonate rocks that act as natural asphalt (Asbuton) reservoir rocks in the Winning area, Buton Regency. The analysis was conducted through… ugh megascopic observation of rock outcrops and microscopic observation of thin sections using a polarizing microscope. The results show that the carbonate rock units in the study area are dominated by bioclastic limestone (biomicrite) and dolomitic limestone (biogenic dolomite). The bioclastic limestone consists of foraminiferal and shell fragments bound by micrite and sparry calcite cement, whereas the dolomitic limestone displays fine- to medium-crystalline textures with well-developed intercrystalline porosity formed through dolomitization. Partial to advanced dolomitization occurred due to the circulation of magnesium-rich fluids in a restricted marine environment during the post-depositional stage. The mineralogical transformation from calcite to dolomite enhanced both porosity and compactness, making these rocks potential reservoir rocks for natural asphalt accumulation. Overall, the petrological and petrographical characteristics indicate that the carbonate rocks in the Winning area underwent a complex diagenetic evolution and play a significant role in the formation and entrapment system of Buton Rock Asphalt (Asbuton).

Nurul Pratiwi, Eka Fitra Ramadani, Yudhi Andrew Pratama Lumoindon
Abstract: The study aims to analyze the role of the Office of Women’s  Empowerment and Child Protection (DP3A) in handling cases of child abuse in Gowa Regency. The research employs a qualitative approach, with data collected through… hrough observation, interviews, and documentation. The focus of this study is to examine how DP3A carries out its role in addressing child abuse in Gowa Regency and to identify the inhibiting factors it faces in handling such cases. The findings reveal that DP3A Gowa Regency plays a strategic role in addressing child abuse through preventive measures such as community outreach and education, case handling through the UPTD PPA with legal and psychological services, and child recovery programs including counseling, therapy, and social reintegration. Collaboration with schools, the police, the Social Affairs Office, NGOs, and the establishment of a Children’s Forum further strengthens the child protection system in the region. However, the study also identifies several inhibiting factors, including a shortage of professional human resources, limited operational funding, and low public awareness influenced by patriarchal culture and the normalization of violence. These obstacles result in limited services, delays in case handling, and a large number of unreported cases. In conclusion, DP3A Gowa Regency plays an essential role in creating a comprehensive child protection ecosystem, although it still requires greater support in terms of human resource capacity, funding, and shifts in societal paradigms to ensure optimal child protection

OVERVIEW OF MORINGA LEAF PUDDING ADMINISTRATION ON HEIGHT AND WEIGHT IN STUNTED CHILD An. M IN JETIS VILLAGE, KEMANGKON DISTRICT, PURBALINGGA REGENCY VILLAGE

Umaisah, Fitri, Priyatin Sulistyowati, Sudiarto
Abstract: Stunting is a condition of failure to thrive in children under 5 years of age due to chronic malnutrition, especially in the first 1.000 days of life (HPK), which is apparent after the child is years old, resulting in the… e child being shorter than thein peers In Purbalingga Regency, the prevalence of stunting in toddlers is 26,8 %, wasting in toddlers is 6,5 %, and underweight in toddlers 16,1%. The prevalence of stunting in Purbalingga Regency remains relatively high, thus requiring affordable and safe local nutritional interventions to support the growth and development of children under five. One of the alternative approaches to address stunting is through the provision of moringa leaf pudding. This study aimed to determine the changes in body weight and height after the administration of moringa leaf pudding in a stunted toddler over a 14-day intervention. This qualitative case study was conducted on a two-year-old stunted toddler (An. M). The intervention consisted of providing 100 grams of moringa leaf pudding every two days (a total of seven servings) over 14 days. Anthropometric measurements were taken at baseline (before intervention), at the seventh meeting, and at the end of the intervention (fourteenth meeting). In addition, observation of pudding acceptance and a brief interview with the family regarding dietary habits were conducted. After receiving moringa leaf pudding every two days for 14 days, the toddler experienced a weight gain of 0.4 kg and an increase in height of 0.9 cm. Observations indicated that the child accepted the moringa leaf pudding well, although mild boredom occurred midway through the intervention. Interviews with the family revealed that the provision of moringa leaf pudding improved the toddler’s appetite, leading to measurable weight and height gains.  The provision of moringa leaf pudding every two days for 14 days had a positive effect on increasing body weight and height in this case of a stunted toddler. Therefore, moringa leaf pudding may serve as an alternative nutritional support to improve the growth of stunted children, particularly in regions with a high prevalence of stunting.

ILLUSTRATION OF THE APPLICATION OF SHALLOT RUBBINGON DECREASING BODY TEMPERATURE IN CHILDREN AGED 2-5 YEARS WITH FEVER IN DESA KEMOJING, KEMANGKON DISTRICT PURBALINGGA REGENCY

Setiani, Purwaningsih Endah, Astuti, Dwi, Sulistyowati, Priyatin
Abstract: Febris fever is a condition in which body temperature rises above normal due to an increase in the temperature-regulating center located in the hypothalamus. Red Onion can be used for compress because they contain the organic… ganic sulfur compound Allylcysteine Sulfoxide. After applying an onion compress, body temperature decreases because blood flow returns to the blood vessels near the skin's surface, thus optimizing heat dissipation. To determine the effectiveness of applying onion compress to children with fever. This study used a descriptive case study approach and was conducted in Kemojing Village. After applying onion compresses for three days, with each session lasting 15 minutes, the children's body temperature decreased. The initial body temperature was 38.4°C, which decreased to 36.8°C by the end of the third day.  Using onion compresses on children with fever can effectively reduce their body temperature.
