Heriansyah, Pebra, Seprido, Seprido, Nopriandi, Helpi, Putra, Wiko Susandy Edika, Ilhasana , Puti Annisa
Abstract: Muaro Sentajo possesses the potential to be developed as a production hub for native orchid species due to its location within the natural habitat of orchid species in Kuantan Singingi Regency, directly bordering the Sentajo… tajo Raya protected forest. Furthermore, the village has an underutilized female labor potential, organized within the Family Welfare Movement (Pemberdayaan dan Kesejahteraan Keluarga / PKK) as the foundational collective for rural women in Muaro Sentajo. This initiative aims to provide knowledge on native orchid species, cultivation techniques, integrated systems with stingless bees (kelulut), and digital marketing. The program implemented a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, consisting of asset mapping, practical cultivation workshops, e-commerce platform development, and four months of intensive mentoring. This empowerment program successfully established an active orchid breeding group managing more than 15 native orchid species. Additionally, 83.66% of the participants demonstrated proficiency in operating digital marketing channels (Instagram and Shopee), resulting in the first independent commercial sales of local orchid products. The integration of local ecological assets with modern digital marketing proved effective in enhancing the economic independence of rural women and promoting sustainable community development.

The Influence of Agricultural, Manufacturing, and Mining Sector Output on Aceh's GRDP Growth

Mulki, Akhyarul, Azra, Uliya, Hajar, Ibnu
Abstract: The economic structure of Aceh Province is still dominated by the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sectors, while the contribution of the manufacturing industry sector is relatively lagging. This condition indicates… that the structural transformation process in Aceh has not yet taken place optimally, so that the economic growth that occurs tends to be quantitative, marked by an increase in aggregate output, but does not fully reflect an increase in the quality of the economic structure. This study aims to analyze the influence of the agriculture, manufacturing industry, and mining sectors on the growth of the Regional Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Aceh Province. The approach used is quantitative with secondary data sources from the BPS of Aceh Province. This study uses panel data which is a combination of cross-regional data and time series data from 2019 to 2023. The results of the study indicate, first; the agricultural sector has a positive effect on GRDP. This is based on the probability value of the agricultural sector variable, which is 0.002. This value is smaller than 0.05. Second; the industrial sector has no effect on GRDP. This is based on the probability value of the industrial sector variable, which is 0.610. This value is greater than 0.05. Third; the mining sector has a positive effect on GRDP. This is based on the probability value of the mining sector variable, which is 0.001. Fourth; The agricultural, industrial and mining sectors have a joint influence on the dependent variable, namely GRDP in Aceh Province

Abstract: Community-based nature tourism development is an important strategy for community empowerment that can enhance local economic welfare while supporting environmental sustainability. However, the success of community-based… tourism management largely depends on the capacity of human resources and local institutions. This study aims to analyze the role of community-based nature tourism management training in improving individual capacities and strengthening the institutional capacity of the Giri Puspa Forest Farmer Group (Kelompok Tani Hutan/KTH) as the manager of Lembah Puspa Educamp in West Bandung Regency. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Research informants consisted of the group leader, management board members, KTH members, training facilitators, and tourism development partners selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, including data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the training contributed significantly to improving participants’ competencies in tour guiding, visitor services, tourism safety, environmental interpretation, and digital marketing. Furthermore, the training strengthened institutional capacity through enhanced coordination, task distribution, member participation, and collective decision-making processes. The program also supported the implementation of Community Based Tourism (CBT) principles, as reflected in increased community involvement in tourism management and destination development. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, including limited funding, inadequate supporting facilities, and unequal competency levels among group members. The study concludes that training serves as a strategic instrument for community empowerment and institutional strengthening to support sustainable community-based nature tourism management

ANALYSIS OF ENVIRONMENTAL DISASTER MITIGATION ON REMPANG ISLAND : EVALUATION AND CANCELLATION OF NATIONAL STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT POLICY

Ma’rifatullah, Tauhid, Yustina, Yustina
Abstract: The conflict surrounding the Rempang Eco-City National Strategic Project (PSN) on Rempang Island, Batam City, Riau Islands Province, is one of the most complex development policy crises of the past decade. This study analyzes… lyzes the neglected environmental disaster mitigation dimensions in the acceleration of the Rempang Eco-City PSN from nine environmental perspectives, while evaluating whether the cancellation of this strategic development policy is a normatively and empirically justifiable choice. Using a qualitative research approach with a case study design, the study combines regulatory analysis based on legal documents including Laws, Government Regulations, Presidential Regulations, Ministerial Regulations, Environmental Impact Assessment (AMDAL) documents, and the Batam City Spatial Plan (RTRW) with field data from secondary sources compiled between 2023–2025. The findings reveal four main conclusions: (1) regulatory incoherence exists between Permenko Ekuin No. 7/2023 and Law No. 32/2009 on Environmental Protection and Management (PPLH) as well as Law No. 27/2007 on Coastal Zone Management; (2) the AMDAL process was carried out procedurally without participatory substance and was only initiated after the conflict erupted; (3) environmental impacts including threats of deforestation of protected forests, mangrove ecosystem degradation, and sea sand exploitation have not been adequately mitigated; and (4) resistance from approximately 80% of affected residents indicates a failure of the Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC) principle. The most recent development shows that through Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 12 of 2025, signed by President Prabowo Subianto on February 10, 2025, Rempang Eco-City is no longer listed among the 77 national strategic projects. This study recommends a comprehensive policy evaluation for Rempang Island development based on an independent AMDAL review, fulfillment of the rights of the Malay indigenous community, and a moratorium on all construction activities until legal certainty is established.

Hong Lawing, Yustina
Abstract: Post-mining land generally exhibits low nutrient levels, requiring soil enhancement via the use of chemical or organic amendments. The application of fertilizers and lime markedly affects soil conditions and can improve… soil fertility. Soil fertility is essential as a substrate for plant growth to support reforestation or reclamation initiatives. After the planting medium is properly prepared, it can be inhabited with plant species appropriate for the site's conditions. This study's methodology involves assessing land conditions through the analysis of soil characteristics and the measurement of soil pH in the designated area. The study's results indicated that the soil texture in the research region is classified as sandy loam and loamy sand, with an average pH of 4.5. To enhance soil conditions, 100 grams of lime is necessary for each planting hole, totaling 625 trees. Therefore, 62.5 kg of dolomite lime per hectare is required for soil rehabilitation in the post-mining region.

Analisis Kebijakan Pengendalian Kebakaran Hutan dan Lahan di Provinsi Papua Selatan

Syahruddin, Jujuk Riyanto
Abstract: Forest and land fires constitute a strategic environmental issue affecting ecological stability, public health, and sustainable regional development. As a newly established autonomous region, South Papua Province faces institutional… nstitutional and structural challenges in developing an effective and integrated fire control system. This study aims to analyze the implementation of forest and land fire control policies and identify factors influencing their effectiveness. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis. The study applies Edward III’s policy implementation framework focusing on communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. The findings indicate that although the regulatory framework is adequate, implementation remains constrained by limited resources, suboptimal inter-agency coordination, and low public awareness. Compared to provinces such as Riau and Central Kalimantan, South Papua is still in the institutional strengthening phase. This study proposes a collaborative and community-based preventive approach rooted in local wisdom as a long-term strategy for sustainable fire management.

Enala, Syahrabudin Husein, Nur Jalal, Antonius Nggewaka, Frederikus Antonius Mana
Abstract: Sektor kelapa sawit menjadi penopang utama perekonomian Indonesia, termasuk di kawasan timur seperti Papua Selatan yang mulai berkembang sebagai wilayah penghasil sawit swadaya.
