Abstract: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of group learning methods in improving the English skills of sixth-grade students at SD Negeri 060878. Using a qualitative approach involving direct interviews, questionnaires,… s, and documentation, this study identified three main problems that hinder the success of group learning: gender differences affecting group formation, difficulty ensuring the active participation of each member, and relatively long time for group management. The results of the study indicate that these problems cause group learning to be less effective and have an impact on the decline in students' English skills. Therefore, strategies such as forming inclusive groups, clear division of tasks, the use of participatory observation instruments, the utilization of technology, and the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning approach are recommended to improve the effectiveness of group learning and students' English skills. This study provides an important contribution to developing English teaching methods at the elementary school level by considering social aspects and more effective classroom management.

CORPORATE CRISIS COMMUNICATION IN THE AGE OF SOCIAL MEDIA: A LITERATURE REVIEW ON STRATEGIC ADAPTATION AND PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT

Kartikawati, Dwi, Dian Metha Ariyanti, Purnomo
Abstract: This study explores the dynamics of corporate crisis communication in the digital age, with a particular focus on the role of social media platforms in shaping organizational strategies. Using a qualitative approach and… library research method, the research systematically reviews academic literature, industry reports, and documented case studies to understand how corporations respond to crises in a hyper-connected environment. The study highlights how traditional theories such as Situational Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT) and Image Repair Theory (IRT) must be adapted to meet the demands of real-time, interactive, and ethically sensitive digital spaces. Through comparative analysis of successful and failed crisis responses—including global cases such as United Airlines and local cases such as Tokopedia—the research reveals that timely, transparent, and empathetic communication on social media significantly influences public perception and corporate reputation recovery. The findings emphasize that a well-designed digital crisis strategy must integrate technical responsiveness with human-centric values to restore trust and sustain long-term relationships with stakeholders. Keywords : crisis communication, corporate strategy, social media, digital reputation

Abstract: This study investigated the effectiveness of the Complete‑Sentence Model in enhancing paragraph‑writing ability among ninth‑grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Sibabangun. Specifically, it aimed to (1) describe the implementation… ementation of the Complete‑Sentence Model in teaching paragraph writing, (2) measure students’ paragraph‑writing ability before and after the intervention, and (3) determine whether the model produced a statistically significant improvement. A pre‑experimental one‑group pretest–posttest design was employed. The population was all Grade IX students (N = 84); a purposive sample of 29 students from class IX C participated. Data were collected via observation checklists and writing tests. Findings show that implementation quality was rated as good (mean = 3.4). Students’ mean writing score improved markedly from 39 (pretest; fail) to 75 (posttest; good). A paired t‑test confirmed the improvement was statistically significant (t = 11.78 > tcritical = 2.05), leading to acceptance of the hypothesis. The results indicate that the Complete‑Sentence Model is an effective instructional strategy for improving paragraph‑writing ability among ninth‑grade students at the study site.

FROM DISCIPLINE TO DEVELOPMENT: ADAPTING CORE MARCHING BAND STRUCTURES FOR DEVELOPMENTALLY APPROPRIATE PRACTICE IN INDONESIAN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

Kurniawan, Iwan, Pamungkas, Joko
Abstract: This study examines how core marching band structures can be adapted for Indonesian early childhood education through developmentally appropriate practice and performance theory. The study responds to concerns that preschool… hool marching band activities may reproduce discipline-oriented rehearsal models designed for older learners. A one-group pre-test and post-test mixed-methods design was used with twenty Indonesian preschool children aged four to five years. Over six weeks, children participated in twelve adapted marching band sessions that combined simplified rhythmic patterns, child-scaled instruments, neat but developmentally adjusted formations, cooperative music-making, visual-motor activities, and responsive teacher facilitation. Quantitative data were collected using a four-point developmental observation rubric covering rhythmic competence, motor coordination, and socio-emotional engagement. Qualitative data were obtained from teacher reflective journals and post-intervention interviews. Paired-sample analysis showed higher post-test scores across the three developmental domains. The largest observed improvement appeared in socio-emotional engagement, followed by rhythmic competence and motor coordination. However, because the study did not include a control group, the findings should be interpreted as developmental changes observed after participation rather than definitive causal effects of the intervention. Qualitative findings indicated that children participated more confidently when teachers simplified rhythmic tasks, used clear and neat formations with reduced technical pressure, provided child-scaled instruments, supported safe movement, and acted as co-players and emotional co-regulators. The study reconceptualizes marching band routines not as rigid disciplinary scripts, but as adaptable performative frames that may support social participation, emotional regulation, rhythmic learning, motor coordination, cooperation, and creative agency when aligned with children’s developmental readiness.
