Green Accounting Practices and Environmental Awareness in Supporting Hospital Sustainability: A Qualitative Study at RSK X in East Java

Enggaryanti, Heny, Riharjo, Ikhsan Budi
Abstract: Hospital operations provide healthcare services while generating environmental impacts through medical waste, hazardous and toxic waste, wastewater, and the consumption of energy, water, and other resources. These impacts… s require hospitals to adopt environmental management practices that extend beyond regulatory compliance and strengthen environmental awareness. This study aims to analyze the role of green accounting in fostering environmental awareness and supporting organizational sustainability at a specialized hospital (RSK X) in East Java, Indonesia. The study employed a qualitative approach within an interpretive paradigm using a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving informants engaged in environmental management and hospital operations. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and thematic analysis using NVivo 14 Pro. The findings indicate that green accounting practices at RSK X are reflected in medical and hazardous waste management, wastewater treatment plant operations, environmental monitoring, resource efficiency, environmental reporting, and environmental cost recording. These practices function not only as mechanisms for administrative compliance and cost control but also as instruments for fostering employees' environmental awareness through socialization, monitoring, habituation, and behavioral change. Green accounting implementation is supported by management commitment, government regulations, accreditation requirements, and organizational culture. However, constraints remain, particularly the absence of a dedicated green accounting report, limited integration of environmental information into the hospital information system, and varying employee understanding of green accounting. The study concludes that green accounting serves managerial and behavioral functions by improving environmental accountability, strengthening environmental awareness, and contributing to hospital sustainability.

ESG Disclosure, Green Investment, Sustainability Reporting Quality, and Firm Value: The Moderating Role of Firm Size in Indonesian Energy Companies

Craudia, Windi, Safitri, Heni, Hariyanto, Dedi
Abstract: This study examines the effect of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) disclosure, green investment, and sustainability reporting quality on firm value, with firm size as a moderating variable in energy sector companies… panies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2024. The study employed a quantitative associative approach using secondary data obtained from annual reports, sustainability reports, and financial statements. Purposive sampling produced 65 observations that met the research criteria. Data were analyzed using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA), supported by classical assumption tests and hypothesis testing. The findings indicate that ESG disclosure does not significantly affect firm value. In contrast, green investment and sustainability reporting quality have positive and significant effects on firm value. Firm size also has a positive and significant direct effect on firm value. However, firm size does not moderate the relationship between ESG disclosure, green investment, or sustainability reporting quality and firm value. Simultaneously, ESG disclosure, green investment, and sustainability reporting quality significantly affect firm value. The first regression model explains 36.0% of the variation in firm value, while the moderation model explains 74.4%. These findings imply that energy sector companies should prioritize concrete green investment initiatives and improve the quality, completeness, and credibility of sustainability reporting to strengthen market value and stakeholder confidence.

Circular Process Innovation for Sustainable Operations: A Review of TQM and Green Intelligence

Thahira, Agniya, Rahab, Rahab, Nurhasanah, Saniatun
Abstract: This study systematically reviews the development of Total Quality Management (TQM) practices in relation to Green Quality Intelligence Capabilities (GQIC), Circular Process Innovation (CPI), and Sustainable Operational… Performance (SOP). Responding to the need for a clearer review method and a more focused novelty, this article applies the PRISMA 2020-based Systematic Literature Review approach. Articles were identified from the Scopus database using keyword combinations related to TQM, quality management practices, green capability, green innovation, circular economy, circular process innovation, Industry 4.0, Quality 4.0, and sustainability performance. After identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and quality appraisal, 27 articles published between 2016 and 2026 were included in the final synthesis. The findings show that TQM literature has shifted from traditional quality control and customer satisfaction toward digital, green, and sustainability-oriented quality management. Soft TQM dimensions, such as leadership, employee involvement, training, and quality culture, and hard TQM dimensions, such as process management, quality tools, continuous improvement, and data-based decision making, remain dominant. However, prior studies still frequently use general mediators, including knowledge management, organizational culture, innovation capability, and competitive advantage. This review proposes CPI as a more specific mediation mechanism that translates TQM and GQIC into sustainable operational outcomes through waste reduction, resource efficiency, material reuse, energy efficiency, and circular process redesign. The study contributes by offering an integrated conceptual model and propositions for future empirical research on quality management, green intelligence, circular innovation, and sustainable operations.

NUTRITIONAL QUALITY, SENSORY ACCEPTABILITY, AND ECONOMIC FEASIBILITY OF FUNCTIONAL STEAMED SPONGE CAKE (BOLU KUKUS) FORTIFIED WITH PUMPKIN (CUCURBITA MOSCHATA) AND GREEN PEA FLOURS

Limin, Yoana Kusumaningsih, Marlina, Paramitha Wirdani Ningsih
Abstract: Steamed sponge cake (bolu kukus) is a widely consumed traditional snack in Indonesia; however, its reliance on refined wheat flour limits its micronutrient and dietary fiber density. Incorporating composite flours from indigenous… ndigenous crops, such as tropical pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata) and green pea (Vigna radiata L.), offers a promising strategy for nutritional fortification and dietary diversification. This study aimed to evaluate the proximate composition, sensory acceptability, statistical differences, and production cost feasibility of steamed sponge cakes formulated with varying proportions of pumpkin and green pea flours as partial replacements for refined wheat flour. An experimental design was applied using three formulations: AF09 (Control: 100% wheat flour), BW91 (10% pumpkin flour, 20% green pea flour), and CB88 (15% pumpkin flour, 15% green pea flour). Proximate testing measured moisture, ash, protein, fat, crude fiber, and total carbohydrates (by difference). Sensory acceptance (color, aroma, taste, and texture) was evaluated by 50 semi-trained panelists using a hedonic scale. Data were analyzed non-parametrically using Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Kruskal-Wallis, and post-hoc Mann-Whitney tests. All formulations complied with the Indonesian National Standard (SNI 01-3840-1995) for moisture (31.69%–33.74%), total ash (0.66%–1.05%), crude protein (5.80%–6.65%), and crude fat (1.64%–2.82%). Formula CB88 achieved the highest crude fiber content (0.69%) and lower total energy density (269.88 kcal/100 g). Kruskal-Wallis testing indicated statistically significant differences (p<0.05) among formulations for color, taste, and texture, while aroma exhibited no significant variation (p=0.672). Formula CB88 emerged as the optimal treatment, receiving superior sensory acceptance ratings for color (90% liked) and crumb softness (88% liked) driven by natural β-carotene and pectin-moisture gelation. Production cost analysis demonstrated high economic feasibility for CB88 at IDR 3,374 per 55 g serving. Partial substitution with 15% pumpkin flour and 15% green pea flour (Formula CB88) yields a nutrient-dense, fiber-enriched, and cost-effective functional snack suitable for targeted school nutrition and dietary diversification programs.

Indonesian Stock Market Reaction to the Escalation of the 2026 Iran Conflict: Evidence from an Event Study of Energy Sector Firms

Nidrah, Rika Kurniawati, Mufidatul Azmi
Abstract: This study examines the reaction of the Indonesian capital market to the escalation of the Iran conflict in 2026 using an event study approach focusing on energy sector firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Market… t reactions are measured using Average Abnormal Return (AAR) and Trading Volume Activity (TVA). The observation period includes an 11-day event window (t−5 to t+5) and a 100-day estimation period. Statistical tests employed include the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, one-sample t-test, paired sample t-test, and Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The findings indicate that abnormal returns are only significant around the event date but do not differ significantly between pre- and post-event periods. In contrast, trading volume activity shows consistent and significant changes. These results suggest that geopolitical conflict information is more strongly reflected in trading behavior than in price adjustments. This study contributes to the literature by providing sector-specific evidence from an emerging market and highlighting behavioral market responses.

Do High Potential Employees Always Possess Emotional Intelligence? A Narrative Review of the Competency Based Model in Indonesian Multisector Organizations (2024–2025)

Setiawan, Anang
Abstract: This narrative review explores whether high-potential workers (HiPo) within Indonesian organizations across various sectors consistently exhibit elevated levels of emotional intelligence (EI), and it assesses the relevance… ce of the Competency Based Model proposed by Boyatzis in the identification and development of HiPos. The review compiles freely accessible scholarly articles from 2024 to 2025, with a focus on research from Indonesia and includes one primary benchmark study on high-potential individuals for comparison, as studies specific to Indonesian HiPo are scarce. Findings reveal that being classified as a HiPo does not necessarily correlate with having high EI. Research directly related to high potential employees indicates that cognitive-intrapersonal skills such as initiative, desire for learning, and the ability to think outside conventional limits are stronger indicators of high potential than emotional-interpersonal skills. Research from various Indonesian sectors, including manufacturing, energy, construction, and public services, suggests that while EI plays a significant role in enhancing employee productivity, work performance, job satisfaction, and effectiveness in management, its influence typically operates through mediating factors instead of serving as a direct predictor. Furthermore, talent management research in Indonesia shows that numerous organizations still depend on performance evaluations and fragmented methods instead of comprehensive competency frameworks. This review concludes that the Competency Based Model is relevant in Indonesian organizations across different sectors; however, it should be viewed as encompassing a range of competencies rather than a single attribute. While EI is valuable, it is not an essential or sufficient criterion for determining high-potential employees.

Putri, Apni Yunikartika, Darwis, Damirah, Ismayanti
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the differences in the financial performance of PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk before and after the disclosure of the fuel adulteration case involving its parent company. This research employs… oys a quantitative comparative approach using quarterly financial statement data from 2024–2025. The analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results show that descriptively, most financial ratios experienced a decline, particularly in profitability and activity ratios, along with a decrease in liquidity and a slight increase in solvency. However, the Wilcoxon test results indicate that these changes are not statistically significant. These findings suggest that despite reputational pressure from the parent company’s crisis, the company’s financial performance remains relatively stable. The limited sample size is also considered a factor influencing the results

The Effect Of Increasing Servicescape And Modernizing Petrol Station Services On Pertamax Series Purchase Decisions Through Perceived Value

Suganda, Surya, Soetjipto, Budi Eko, Churiyah, Madziatul
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effect of increasing servicescape and modernization of Public Fuel Filling Station (SPBU) services on the purchase decision of Pertamax Series products with perceived value as a mediating variable.… ariable. This study uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach combined with bibliometric analysis to identify, map, and synthesize relevant research developments related to the quality of the service environment, modernization of fuel retail services, perceived value by consumers, and purchasing decisions. Research data was obtained from various reputable scientific articles indexed in academic databases such as Scopus and Google Scholar with a range of publications of the last ten years. The literature selection process is carried out systematically through the stages of identification, screening, feasibility, and inclusion using the PRISMA guidelines. Bibliometric analysis is used to map research trends, author collaboration, and keyword linkages analyzed using VOSviewer software. The results of the study show that increasing servicescape such as facility comfort, cleanliness, physical design, and the availability of supporting facilities is able to increase consumer perception of gas station services. In addition, service modernization through payment digitalization, self-service systems, and technology-based service innovations also strengthen customer experience. The combination of these two factors has been proven to increase perceived value which ultimately encourages consumers to make a decision to purchase Pertamax Series products. The findings of this study make a conceptual contribution to the development of a study of consumer behavior in the energy retail sector and provide practical implications for petrol station managers in designing strategies to improve service quality and modernize facilities to increase consumer preference for high-quality fuels.

The Influence of Free Shipping and Online Customer Reviews on the Shopee Platform on Purchasing Decisions of Students of the Faculty of Economics, Nias University

Zebua, Reyan Janefata, Telaumbanua, Aferiaman, Kakisina, Sophia Molinda, Zebua, Serniati
Abstract: This study investigates the role of acquisition premiums in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and their impact on shareholder wealth, focusing on five major Indian deals in pharmaceuticals, retail, banking, steel, and renewable… able energy sectors. Potential synergies often justify acquisition premiums ranging from approximately 15% to 40% above target companies’ market values. However, market responses suggest that such premiums may not consistently result in value creation for acquiring firms' shareholders. Empirical findings reveal mixed outcomes: Sun Pharma’s acquisition of Ranbaxy led to a 9.8% share price increase within five days, while Tata Steel’s high-premium acquisition of Bhushan Steel saw only a 1.7% gain. In contrast, deals like Reliance–Future Retail and Tata Power–Welspun Power showed minimal or negative returns, despite sizable premiums. These patterns indicate that premium size alone is not a reliable predictor of post-deal shareholder wealth creation. The study concludes that M&A success depends more on strategic fit, market timing, and sectoral dynamics than on the premium offered. This analysis contributes to the broader M&A discourse by offering evidence-based insights into how premium valuations can either maximise or dilute shareholder value, aiding investors, corporate strategists, and policy analysts in deal assessment.

Bridging The Digital-Physical Divide: Transfer Learning For Unified Threat Correlation in Converged IT/OT/IOT Ecosystems

Dzreke, Simon Suwanzy
Abstract: The increased integration of operational technology (OT), Internet of Things (IoT), and business IT systems has allowed sophisticated attackers to circumvent isolated security features and launch cross-platform assaults.… Current fragmented techniques, with discrete detectors monitoring Modbus, Kubernetes, MQTT, or other domain-specific protocols, cannot handle cross-system risks. These methodologies overlook 68% of multi-vector marketing that uses both physical and digital channels. This study introduces a transfer learning architecture to integrate detection capabilities by correlating threats across protocols, devices, and settings. The architecture generates a unified feature space that extracts behavioral semantics from industrial control system logs, cloud telemetry, network traffic, and device-level signals to produce protocol-agnostic threat representations. Adversarial domain adaptation and semantic graph embeddings enable cross-domain knowledge transfer with minimum retraining. Security teams may now discover kill chains like infected cloud containers preceding illegal PLC command execution every 23 minutes. Validated against real-world attack datasets from water treatment facilities (OT) and cloud infrastructure (IT), the system achieved 93.4% cross-platform attack recall, a 41.3 percentage point improvement over prior methodologies. It reduced OT data labeling by 89% and false positives by 93.5%. This paradigm shift transforms threat correlation from a reactive, domain-specific process to adaptive intelligence, boosting resilience for critical infrastructure, industrial ecosystems, and smart environments facing cyber-physical hazards. The framework's practical validation in energy, industry, and vital infrastructure shows its importance in protecting an increasingly linked world.
