AN ANALYSIS OF PASSENGER PERCEPTIONS REGARDING AISLE AVOIDANCE BEHAVIORS ON PELITA AIR FLIGHTS CONCERNING SAFETY, SECURITY, AND COMFORT

Zaini, Abdul Kudus, Hidayati, Julianti Puspa, Muttaqin, M. Zaenal
Abstract: Passenger movement within aircraft aisles is an essential activity during the flight process, particularly inside narrow-body aircraft where mobility remains restricted. Interactions between passengers frequently trigger… avoidance behaviors that potentially influence perceptions of safety, security, and comfort during travel. Therefore, this study aims to analyze passenger perceptions of aisle avoidance on Pelita Air flights based on these three specific dimensions. Methodologically, the research utilizes a quantitative descriptive approach involving a five-point Likert scale questionnaire. Data were gathered from 350 respondents who previously utilized Pelita Air flight services. Furthermore, the analysis was conducted by calculating mean values to determine the categorization of respondent perceptions. Findings indicate that all variables fall within the “good” category. Specifically, the mean value for safety reached 4.098, security 4.099, and comfort 4.077. Effectively, these findings demonstrate that the avoidance process in the cabin aisle is perceived as safe, orderly, and sufficiently comfortable despite the limited space for movement. Importantly, this study contributes to the understanding of passenger behavior in confined cabin spaces and becomes valuable input for airlines to enhance the quality of cabin services.

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN BEHAVIOR AND WORK ACCIDENTS AMONG SHIP CREW (ABK) ON PASSENGER SHIPS

Ifka W Kobis, Melany Kumayas, Fransiskus X Dotulong
Abstract:   Work accidents are unexpected and undesirable events, and work accidents are related to the employment relationship with the company, hospitals, or community health centers. The employment relationship here indicates that… s that accidents occur as a result of work or while performing work. Occupational health and safety (K3) on ships has long been a concern among the government and businesses. K3 factors are closely related to the performance of ship crew (ABK) and, in turn, to the performance of the company. The more safety facilities available, the less likely work accidents are to occur. This study aims to determine how the Relationship Between Health and Safety Behavior (K3) and Work Accidents Among Ship Crew (ABK) on Passenger Ships. The type of research uses a quantitative method with a Cross Sectional approach. The sampling technique in this study is Total Sampling with a sample size of 31 respondents. Data collection was obtained from direct observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted through univariate and bivariate tests, with the hypothesis testing using the Chi-square test at a confidence level (α=0.05). The results showed that there is a relationship between behavior and work accidents, with a value of (p=0.03), indicating a relationship between behavior and work accidents.

FAST DETECTION OF SEATBELT DRIVER BASED ON IMAGE CAPTURING

Rohman, Khairul, Sasongko, Theopilus Bayu
Abstract: Abstract: Traffic accidents are one of the biggest contributors to injuries and fatalities worldwide. Victims of traffic accidents range from minor injuries to severe injuries and even death. The severity of many accidents… ts is often due to a lack of discipline and public awareness of traffic rules and safety measures. Car manufacturers have attempted to mitigate the effects of accidents by providing seat belts. However, many people neglect to use them, thinking that nothing will happen while driving. Even with fines imposed by authorities, people can outsmart them by removing their seat belts when officers are not around. To address this issue, a model has been developed to monitor drivers using artificial intelligence and computer vision. The camera captures images, which are then processed by a neural network trained with the YOLOv5 algorithm. The model has an average precision of 89% and a recall of 81%, and can accurately detect whether drivers are wearing seat belts or not. This model is expected to aid in improving driver and passenger safety on the roads. By paying attention to the use of seat belts, the severity of injuries sustained in accidents can be reduced.             Keywords: computer vision; neural network; seatbelt detection; yolo     Abstrak: Kecelakaan lalu lintas merupakan salah satu penyumbang terbesar cedera dan kematian di seluruh dunia.

Budiman
Abstract: Factors that cause airlines to cancel flights include commercial, technical, operational, weather, and airport factors. Airlines are responsible for canceling departures due to health care requirements (accelerated testing):… ng): if a passenger tests positive for antigen, they must undergo a PCR test; if negative, they can continue, and the price of the ticket is returned to fly back at least 3 days later. If the passenger gets a PCR test, they must quarantine for 14 days, rescheduling the ticket according to the passenger's status after quarantine. Or the entire ticket will be refunded. There are no specific provisions for consumer legal protection for departure cancellations due to failure to complete health care (accelerated testing), but compliance is not limited to Law Number 1 of 2009 concerning Aviation is not achieved. However, passengers as consumers have legal protection under the Consumer Protection Law relating to passenger rights as consumers of air transportation services, and the Civil Code relating to the status of passengers as parties to a transportation contract with airlines.
