THE EFFECT OF JOB INSECURITY AND JOB SATISFACTION ON TURNOVER INTENTION OF CONTRACT EMPLOYEES AT PT ADETEX BANJARAN

Kristin Nurhayati, Dadang Munandar
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effect of job insecurity and job satisfaction on the turnover intention of contract employees at PT Adetex Banjaran. Employment conditions in the textile industry indicate a relatively high… level of job uncertainty, particularly for contract employees who experience changes in work schedules, income fluctuations, and limited guarantees of job continuity. These conditions have the potential to reduce job satisfaction and encourage employees’ intention to leave the company. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. The research population consists of all contract employees at PT Adetex Banjaran, with the sample determined using a proportional sampling technique. Data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires developed based on indicators of job insecurity, job satisfaction, and turnover intention. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques with the assistance of SPSS software, including validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, correlation analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination, and partial and simultaneous hypothesis testing. The results indicate that job insecurity has a positive and significant effect on turnover intention, meaning that the higher the level of job insecurity perceived by employees, the greater their tendency to leave the company. In addition, job satisfaction has a negative and significant effect on turnover intention, indicating that higher job satisfaction leads to a lower intention to leave the organization. Simultaneously, job insecurity and job satisfaction have a significant effect on the turnover intention of contract employees at PT Adetex Banjaran. These findings highlight the importance of human resource management practices that focus on enhancing job security and job satisfaction in order to reduce turnover intention. This study is expected to serve as a consideration for company management in formulating more stable, fair, and sustainable employment policies, as well as a reference for future research in the field of human resource management.

Abdullah, Fadil, Putri, Safira Hutama, Maharani, Nadiya, Barus, Wan Habibi Rahman, Candrawati, Nia, Ihsan, Muhammad Alif
Abstract: This study explores the relationship between business strategy, business performance, innovation, and competitive advantage and their impact on customer value for non-apparel textile SMEs in Indonesia. Using Structure Equational… uational Modeling (SEM), it aims to understand how business strategy affects business performance and innovation and how business performance and innovation mediate the relationship between business strategy and competitive advantage. In addition, it investigates the role of competitive advantage as a mediator in increasing customer value. The results show that business strategy has a significant impact on business performance, innovation, and competitive advantage. Competitive advantage proved to be an important mediator in improving customer value. However, business performance and innovation are not always effective in mediating the relationship between business strategy and competitive advantage or customer value. The findings indicate that while business performance and innovation are important, they should be viewed as part of a more holistic approach to business strategy. This research concludes that companies should focus on strategies that integrate competitive advantage through various elements, such as innovation, product quality, and marketing. Good strategic planning and effective implementation are key to achieving and maintaining competitive advantage and increasing customer value. The findings provide important insights into the need for a holistic strategic approach to achieve long-term success in an increasingly competitive market.

Shibotik: Inovasi Kreatif Teknik Pewarnaan Kain Batik (Studi Kasus Industri Kerajinan Batik Komar)

Dipodiwiryo, Rafi Arlei
Abstract: This research aims to explore innovation in batik coloring techniques through the collaboration of conventional wax and stamp methods with Shibori resist dyeing, known as Shibotik. Conducted at Batik Komar, the qualitative… ve approach employed involved participant observation and in-depth interviews. Over a five-month period, the researcher actively engaged in activities at the batik house, observing production processes, interacting with craftsmen, and creating works using Shibotik coloring techniques. The findings reveal that Batik Komar successfully developed Shibotik as an innovative form of textile art. By combining six basic Shibori dyeing techniques—Arashi, Itajime, Kanoko, Kumo, Miura, and Nui—they created new patterns that blend the clarity of traditional batik motifs with the unpredictable edges of Shibori motifs. This collaboration not only produces beautiful and narrative fabrics but also has a positive impact on the community. The increased interest in Shibori, particularly among young entrepreneurs, creates economic opportunities and new jobs. However, suggestions for further research highlight the creative potential of coloring techniques and their economic and cultural impact, particularly on Indonesia's cultural heritage. The study also outlines practical implications, such as enhancing education and training opportunities in batik and Shibori techniques at the local level. Additionally, the emphasis on sustainability suggests investigating the application of Shibori techniques with environmentally friendly principles. In conclusion, Shibotik contributes not only to preserving Indonesia's batik heritage but also opens new potentials in the creative industry. Its novelty lies in cross-cultural collaboration and the creative utilization of coloring techniques, presenting new opportunities for textile art development. The implications can guide further research in the contexts of education and the sustainability of traditional arts.
