THE IMPACT OF STRESS AND WORK MOTIVATION ON THE PERFORMANCE OF EMPLOYEES IN THE SIANTAR CITY MANPOWER DEPARTMENT

Abstract: Work stress and motivation are two factors that can influence the increase or decrease in employee performance. This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of work stress and work motivation on employee performance&#8230; ce at the Siantar City Manpower Office. The focus of the study is limited to two independent variables, namely work stress and work motivation, and one dependent variable, namely employee performance. The formulation of the problem raised is whether work stress and work motivation affect employee performance. The population in this study amounted to 58 people who were also used as samples. The approach used is quantitative, with data collection through questionnaires and using secondary data. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression, with hypothesis testing through the t-test (partial), F-test (simultaneous), and the Coefficient of Determination (R²). The results of the study show a regression model Y = 0.550 + 0.447X₁ + 0.398X₂, where X₁ is work stress and X₂ is work motivation. Partially, work stress has a significant effect on employee performance with a significance value of 0.001 (<0.05) and a t-count of 3.543 (> t-table 1.673). Work motivation also shows a partial significant effect with a significance value of 0.002 (<0.05) and a t-count of 3.225 (> t-table 1.673). Simultaneously, both variables have a significant effect on employee performance, with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05) and an F-count of 34.156 (> F-table 3.17). The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.554 indicates that 55.4% of the variation in employee performance is influenced by work stress and work motivation, while the remaining 44.6% is influenced by other factors outside this study. Thus, the relationship between work stress, work motivation, and employee performance is quite strong but not dominant.

KEABSAHAN TINDAKAN PENAGIHAN HUTANG YANG DILAKUKAN SEBELUM JATUH TEMPO

Abstract: Perkembangan financial technology (fintech) khususnya layanan pinjaman online memberikan kemudahan bagi masyarakat dalam memperoleh dana secara cepat melalui sistem elektronik. Namun, dalam praktiknya sering terjadi penagihan&#8230; gihan hutang oleh kreditur sebelum jatuh tempo cicilan yang telah disepakati dalam perjanjian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keabsahan penagihan hutang sebelum jatuh tempo serta akibat hukum yang timbul dari praktik tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian hukum normatif dengan pendekatan perundang-undangan dan konseptual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penagihan hutang sebelum jatuh tempo bertentangan dengan Pasal 1759 Kitab Undang-Undang Hukum Perdata karena hak kreditur untuk menagih baru lahir setelah utang mencapai waktu jatuh tempo. Tindakan tersebut tidak dapat dikategorikan sebagai wanprestasi, melainkan lebih tepat dikualifikasikan sebagai perbuatan melawan hukum sebagaimana diatur dalam Pasal 1365 KUH Perdata. Selain itu, praktik tersebut juga melanggar prinsip perlindungan konsumen dalam sektor jasa keuangan yang diatur oleh Otoritas Jasa Keuangan.

KETIADAAN KLAUSULA TANGGUNG JAWAB PENGEMBALIAN PINJAMAN JIKA DEBITUR MENINGGAL DUNIA PADA APLIKASI PEMBIAYAAN SHOPEE PAYLATER

Abstract: Perkembangan era digital telah mendorong inovasi di sektor jasa keuangan melalui Financial Technology (fintech), khususnya dalam bidang pembiayaan dan kredit digital. Fintech lending menjadi salah satu sektor dengan pertumbuhan&#8230; umbuhan tercepat di Indonesia karena menawarkan kemudahan, kecepatan, serta efektivitas transaksi keuangan yang tidak terbatas oleh ruang dan waktu. PT Commerce Finance dan PT Shopee International Indonesia, di bawah pengawasan Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK), bekerja sama menghadirkan inovasi berupa Shopee PayLater. Fasilitas ini merupakan pinjaman berbasis teknologi dengan skema pembayaran tertunda serta promosi bunga 0% untuk pinjaman awal dalam jangka waktu 30 hari. Dalam praktiknya, perjanjian Shopee PayLater menggunakan perjanjian baku sebagaimana diatur dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 8 Tahun 1999 tentang Perlindungan Konsumen. Namun demikian, perjanjian tersebut memiliki kelemahan karena tidak memuat klausula yang secara tegas mengatur tanggung jawab pengembalian pinjaman apabila debitur meninggal dunia. Kondisi ini menimbulkan ketidakpastian hukum, mengingat berdasarkan Pasal 833 ayat (1) Kitab Undang-Undang Hukum Perdata, kewajiban utang debitur tidak hapus karena kematian, melainkan beralih kepada ahli waris. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian hukum normatif dengan pendekatan perundang-undangan dan pendekatan konseptual. Bahan hukum dikumpulkan melalui studi kepustakaan dan dianalisis secara deskriptif-analitis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tanggung jawab pengembalian pinjaman Shopee PayLater tetap melekat dan dibebankan pada harta peninggalan debitur sebagaimana diatur dalam Kitab Undang-Undang Hukum Perdata. Namun, perlindungan hukum bagi kreditur belum optimal karena tidak adanya klausula khusus yang mengatur akibat hukum kematian debitur. Oleh karena itu, penerapan asuransi kredit direkomendasikan sebagai bentuk perlindungan hukum preventif guna memberikan kepastian hukum bagi kreditur sekaligus melindungi ahli waris dari risiko beban utang yang berkepanjangan.

Perlindungan Hukum Para Pihak dalam Perjanjian Elektronik Menurut Hukum Perdata Indonesia

Abstract: Advances in information and communication technology have spurred substantial changes in legal transaction procedures in Indonesia, primarily through the utilization of electronic agreements. Agreements that were previously&#8230; sly made in traditional paper formats are now frequently conducted digitally, raising legal concerns regarding their legality, validity, evidence, and legal protection for the involved parties, particularly consumers. Although electronic agreements are normatively recognized in the Civil Code (KUHP) and the Law on Electronic Information and Transactions, practical implementation issues persist, leading to legal uncertainty. This research employs a normative legal methodology utilizing statutory, conceptual, and comparative approaches. Data was obtained through a literature review of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal sources related to electronic agreements and civil legal protection. Qualitative descriptive analysis was conducted to investigate the legal status of electronic agreements and the legal protection available for the parties within the Indonesian legal framework. The discussion results indicate that electronic agreements possess legal validity and binding force equivalent to traditional agreements, provided they meet the criteria for a valid agreement as outlined in Article 1320 of the Civil Code and the provisions of the Information Technology Law. Legal protection in electronic agreements encompasses legal certainty, the recognition of electronic document and signature evidence, and consumer protection against detrimental standard clauses. Nevertheless, challenges remain in establishing party identification, ensuring the integrity of digital contracts, and addressing power imbalances between commercial entities and consumers. This study concludes that while electronic agreements are legally recognized under Indonesian civil law, enhancing legal protection requires strengthened regulations, consistent law enforcement, and improved legal and digital literacy among the public to ensure secure, fair, and equitable electronic transactions.  

WHEN DIGITAL FOOTPRINTS ARE NO LONGER VALID: AN ANALYSIS OF DIGITAL FORENSIC EVIDENCE FAILURE IN LEGAL PROCEEDINGS

Abstract: The advancement of digital technology has brought significant changes to the legal system, particularly in the use of electronic evidence as a means of proof in court. However, the validity of digital forensic evidence is&#8230; s often questioned due to various technical, procedural, and legal challenges. This study aims to analyze the factors contributing to the failure of digital forensic evidence in legal proceedings and to formulate recommendations for improving its validity. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by examining various academic sources that discuss issues of digital evidence validity, forensic standards, and emerging legal challenges. The results of the study indicate that the failure of digital evidence generally stems from non-compliance in the processes of data collection and preservation with chain of custody standards, insufficient competence of law enforcement officers in digital technical aspects, and conflicts between legal requirements and data privacy regulations, such as the GDPR and CCPA. The case study of online gambling 2020, at the South Jakarta District Court confirms that the absence of forensic verification and chain of custody documentation caused the digital evidence to lose its probative value. Therefore, it is necessary to establish standardized forensic procedures, provide training and certification for law enforcement officials and forensic experts, and develop national guidelines for managing digital evidence aligned with international standards. This research is expected to contribute to strengthening the integrity and validity of digital evidence, thereby enhancing the enforcement of justice in the digital era.

Inovasi Fundraising Wakaf Digital Dalam Meningkatkan Partisipasi Masyarakat Kota Medan Kecamatan Medan Perjuangan

Abstract: Dalam kegiatan amal Islam, teknologi finansial (fintech) telah mengubah segalanya, terutama dengan wakaf tunai dan instrumen wakaf berbasis tunai lainnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji cara-cara inovasi penggalangan&#8230; ggalangan dana wakaf digital telah digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan masyarakat di Kecamatan Medan Perjuangan, Kota Medan, untuk menentukan variabel apa yang memengaruhi pilihan masyarakat, dan untuk memetakan kesulitan praktis yang telah dihadapi.  Studi ini menggunakan strategi penelitian deskriptif metode campuran, mengumpulkan data kuantitatif dari 15 responden yang dipilih secara acak menggunakan kuesioner terstruktur dan data kualitatif dari 5 informan kunci melalui wawancara mendalam yang dipilih menggunakan prosedur sampel bertujuan. Mayoritas masyarakat bereaksi positif terhadap perubahan digitalisasi wakaf, menurut studi deskriptif. Sembilan puluh tiga persen dari mereka yang disurvei mengatakan teknologi dapat membuat lebih banyak orang terlibat dengan wakaf, dan delapan puluh tujuh persen berpikir platform digital jauh lebih baik daripada cara lama. Kualitas iklan media sosial, kemudahan penggunaan yang dirasakan, atau literasi wakaf digital semuanya berperan dalam tingkat keterlibatan aktual yang rendah (53,3% telah melakukan transaksi). Namun, tantangan utama terhadap penetrasi wakaf digital secara komprehensif meliputi kepercayaan publik terhadap privasi dan keamanan data (60%) atau akuntabilitas dan keterbukaan dalam pelaporan dana (53,3%). Untuk mengubah kesan positif menjadi janji kontribusi berkelanjutan, penelitian ini menyarankan agar nazhir memperluas lingkungan digital terintegrasi mereka melalui kemajuan sistem siber, hubungan strategis dengan organisasi keagamaan lokal, dan pendidikan publik yang terorganisir.

Abstract: The limitations of conventional distillation technology hinder micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from producing herbal products with consistent quality. This study aims to develop an Arduino-based distillation&#8230; system equipped with automatic temperature control to improve the production capacity and quality of herbal liquid smoke at CV Moga Permata Perkasa. The research methods include system design and fabrication, functional testing, operator training, and performance evaluation. The results demonstrate a 35% increase in production capacity and stable temperature control within a ±2°C range during the distillation process. These findings indicate that the developed system effectively enhances production efficiency and product consistency. Furthermore, the proposed technology is affordable, easy to operate, and has strong potential for implementation and replication among similar MSMEs.

Abstract: Implementation of Internet of Things (IoT) technology and microcontrollers as an automatic temperature control system on tools for proofing bread dough at the Oei Oei Pizza and Patisserie Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise&#8230; ise (MSMEs). The primary issue faced by partners was temperature instability during the dough fermentation process, leading to inconsistent product quality. The implementation method included problem identification, tool design and construction, implementation at partner locations, and mentoring and evaluation. The results of the activity showed that the tool can help IoT-based systems maintain stable fermentation temperatures, improve dough quality consistency, and increase production efficiency. This initiative also has a positive impact on increasing partners' capacity to utilize appropriate technology.

Tren Penelitian Artificial Intelligence di Perpustakaan: Analisis Bibliometrik dalam Konteks Komunikasi Digital

Abstract: Penelitian ini menganalisis perkembangan penelitian artificial intelligence (AI) dalam konteks perpustakaan, khususnya perannya dalam mendukung komunikasi digital. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis bibliometrik dengan&#8230; n visualisasi menggunakan VOSviewer, berdasarkan 115 artikel yang diambil dari database Scopus melalui Publish or Perish. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan publikasi AI di perpustakaan selama periode 2013–2023. Tema seperti challenge, academic libraries, dan artificial intelligence chatbot masih tergolong baru dan belum banyak diteliti. Penulis dengan sitasi tertinggi adalah Cox, A. M., Pinfield, S., dan Rutter, S., sementara jurnal paling produktif adalah Library Hi Tech. Temuan ini memberikan gambaran tren dan peluang riset AI di perpustakaan ke depan.

Innovation in Designing a 500 kg Capacity Passenger Elevator in a Multi-Storey Building: A Study at Suzuya

Abstract: This study aims to analyze and design the working system of a passenger elevator, including the working mechanism of the elevator, the design of the lifting system, the calculation of cage capacity, the design of power and&#8230; nd the selection of the main drive motor, the calculation of the main components, the design of the transmission, the calculation of maintenance costs, the selection of component materials, and the creation of technical drawings. The design results show that the specifications of the drive motor used have a power of 6.28 Hp with a rotation of 800 rpm, a lifting speed of 15 m/min, and a lifting capacity of 500 kg. The shaft components are designed using S45C carbon steel, with details of Shaft I with a diameter of 24 mm, Shaft II with a diameter of 41 mm, and Shaft III with a diameter of 41 mm. The gears consist of Gear I with a pitch circle diameter of 42 mm, a circle diameter of 37 mm, a head circle diameter of 46 mm, a width of 16 mm, and 21 teeth; Gear II with a pitch circle diameter of 210 mm, a circle diameter of 205 mm, a head circle diameter of 214 mm, a width of 16 mm, and 105 teeth; Gear III with a pitch circle diameter of 68 mm, a circle diameter of 63 mm, a head circle diameter of 108 mm, a width of 16 mm, and 34 teeth; and Gear IV with a pitch circle diameter of 270 mm, a circle diameter of 265.5 mm, a head circle diameter of 270 mm, a width of 16 mm, and 21 teeth. The drum used has a diameter of 253 mm, a weight of 100 kg, a length of 1073.79 mm, and a thickness of 16 mm.
