CUSTOMER-DRIVEN EXCELLENCE STRATEGY: LEVERAGING SERVICE QUALITY, BRAND CREDIBILITY, AND PERCEIVED VALUE IN THE UMRAH TRAVEL INDUSTRY IN DEPOK CITY

Wulandari, Aghnia, Efendi, Suryono, Hasanudin
Abstract: This study examines the implementation of customer-driven excellence strategy in the Umrah travel industry in Depok City by investigating the relationships between service quality, brand credibility, perceived value, and… customer-driven excellence outcomes. Using a quantitative research approach with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), data were collected from 105 customers who have utilized Umrah travel services within the past two years. The measurement model demonstrated excellent reliability and validity, with all constructs meeting stringent psychometric criteria for convergent and discriminant validity. The structural model reveals that all three hypotheses are strongly supported, with brand credibility emerging as the most influential factor (β = 0.398, p < 0.001), followed by perceived value (β = 0.356, p < 0.001) and service quality (β = 0.285, p < 0.001). The integrated model explains 74.2% of variance in customer-driven excellence, demonstrating strong explanatory power and large predictive relevance (Q² = 0.486). These findings provide empirical evidence that successful customer-driven excellence strategy requires integrated approaches prioritizing brand credibility development while simultaneously enhancing perceived value and service quality. The study offers valuable insights for Umrah travel operators seeking to optimize competitive advantage through comprehensive customer excellence strategies that address both functional and emotional dimensions of religious tourism services.

LEGAL CERTAINTY OF FINANCING OF MERAH PUTIH VILLAGE COOPERATIVES: INSTITUTIONAL ANALYSIS BETWEEN THE PRINCIPLE OF COOPERATIVE INDEPENDENCE AND STATE INTERVENTION

Hasanudin, Adnan, Winanti , Atik, Jilena Meliala, Aurora
Abstract: This study examines the legal certainty of financing for Indonesia's Desa Merah Putih Cooperative (KDMP) initiative, analyzing the institutional tension between cooperative independence and state intervention. Rooted in… the constitutional mandate for cooperatives as a cornerstone of the Indonesian economy, the KDMP program aims to establish 80,000 village-level cooperatives through state-facilitated credit lines and technical assistance. However, this top-down model raises concerns about undermining cooperative autonomy enshrined in Law No. 25/1992 and the principle of subsidiarity. Employing a normative juridical research design, this study draws on secondary data from legal literature and primary legal materials to systematically examine relevant norms and doctrines. Findings reveal a tenuous alignment between state financing mechanisms and cooperative autonomy, primarily due to the proposed reliance on state-owned bank credit lines rather than direct state budget grants, leading to legal ambiguity regarding accountability and oversight. The potential for mass loan defaults and the contentious use of Village Funds as collateral further complicate legal certainty and risk hidden liabilities. Comparative insights from India's Amul cooperative and the Philippines' barangay cooperatives illustrate successful models where government acts as a facilitator without impinging on cooperative self-governance or member control. This study advocates for a recalibrated regulatory approach featuring transparent oversight, proportional supervision, and participatory decision-making to reconcile developmental imperatives with cooperative principles, ultimately enhancing legal certainty and ensuring that state-supported cooperatives remain genuinely member-driven enterprises.

The THE INFLUENCE OF NEGATIVE ELECTRONIC WORD OF MOUTH AND VARIETY SEEKING ON BRAND SWITCHING BEHAVIOR WITH CUSTOMER ENGANGEMENT AS AN INTERVENING VARIABLE (A STUDY ON SCARLETT SERUM PRODUCTS AMONG GEN Z)

Panjaitan, Dertaida, Indrawati
Abstract: The growth of the cosmetics industry in Indonesia is influenced by the increasing demand for beauty products. One of the contributing factors to this trend is a common issue faced by women, especially Gen Z, which is dull… l skin. One of the most purchased beauty products by Gen Z is facial serum. The aim of this research is to examine the influence of Negative EWOM (Electronic Word of Mouth) and variety seeking on brand switching behavior, with customer engagement as an intervening variable for Scarlett facial serum among Gen Z consumers. This study employs a quantitative approach with descriptive and causal research methods. Data collection is done through a questionnaire survey with 300 respondents who use Scarlett facial serum in Indonesia. The data analysis technique used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS for research data analysis. The research findings indicate that Negative EWOM have a positive influence on brand switching behavior, Negative EWOM have a negative influence on customer engagement, variety seeking have a negative influence on customer engagement, variety seeking have a positive influence on brand switching behavior, customer engagement have a negative influence on brand switching behavior, Variety seeking on brand switching behavior through customer engagement as an intervening variable have a positive influence, Negative E-WOM on brand switching behavior through customer engagement as an intervening variable also have a positive influence. This research has implications for companies, including the need for companies to enhance product quality and their brand image in response to Negative E-WOM. Companies should also continue to innovate by improving product quality and uniqueness. Maintaining customer interactions can also keep the company top of mind among customers, preventing them from switching to other brands. These actions are necessary to retain customers and prevent brand switching. Referring to several previous studies, research on negative word of mouth, brand switching behavior, variety seeking, and customer engagement has never been conducted simultaneously with the same variables and object.

THE EFFECT OF FINANCIAL LITERACY ON FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT BEHAVIOR WITH FINANCIAL RISK ATTITUDE AND FINANCIAL TECHNOLOGY AS MEDIATING VARIABLES

Siti Robihah Al Maliyah, Hamidah, Hamidah, Widyastuti , Umi
Abstract: This study aims to determine the extent to which financial literacy affects the financial management behavior of MSME actors in DKI Jakarta, by considering the role of attitudes towards financial risk and the use of financial… ncial technology as mediating variables. The background of this study comes from the fact that there are still many MSME players who are not able to manage their finances optimally, even though access to information and digital financial services is quite widespread. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 156 individual business owners and analyzed through the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The results showed that financial literacy did not have a significant direct effect on financial management behavior. However, financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on financial risk attitudes and financial technology. These two variables directly influence financial management behavior, and act as mediators in the relationship between financial literacy and financial management behavior. These findings emphasize the importance of a financial literacy approach that not only focuses on increasing knowledge, but also includes the formation of rational risk attitudes and the practical use of financial technology. This kind of literacy strategy is considered more relevant and effective in improving the financial management of MSME actors, especially in the current digital era.
