language environment that serves as a hidden curriculum at Pesantren Ar-Raudlatul Hasanah, namely an implicit curriculum that shapes language competence in a natural and sustainable manner. This study aims to analyze the role of bī’ah lughawiyyah as a hidden curriculum and its influence on the improvement of students’ speaking ability (mahārat al-kalām). This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research participants consist of students, Arabic language instructors, and pesantren administrators. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of language-related activities. The data were analyzed thematically through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with data validity strengthened through source and method triangulation. The findings indicate that bī’ah lughawiyyah functions as a hidden curriculum through Arabic language policies, the exemplary practices of instructors, the habituation of communication in daily pesantren life, and non-formal social reinforcement. These practices contribute positively to the enhancement of students’ kalām ability, particularly in terms of speaking confidence, fluency, and spontaneity in oral communication. The findings confirm that bī’ah lughawiyyah as a hidden curriculum plays a strategic role in Arabic language acquisition. Therefore, optimizing the language environment should be positioned as an integral component of Arabic language curriculum development in pesantren.

s used by teachers, their application in learning activities, and factors that affect the effectiveness of learning speaking skills. The research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data is collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study showed that teachers used several learning strategies, namely communicative strategies, group discussions, presentations, questions and answers, and role plays. The strategy is applied to increase students' speaking courage, ability to convey ideas, and their involvement in the learning process. However, the effectiveness of the strategy is still influenced by several obstacles, such as low student confidence, limited learning media, and suboptimal feedback by teachers. This study concludes that the teaching strategy of Indonesian teachers has been able to support the improvement of students' speaking skills, but still requires continuous innovation, especially in media development, strengthening motivation, and providing opportunities for wider speaking practice.

uasi-experimental method with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used was non-random purposive sampling, with two classes selected as samples, each consisting of 32 students. The data collection technique used in this study was an oral test instrument, designed using a non-equivalent control group design. The results showed that the average score of the experimental class was 45.31 in the pre-test and 67.81 in the post-test. Meanwhile, the control class scored an average of 44.84 in the pre-test and 46.56 in the post-test. The data were tested for normality and found to be normally distributed. The homogeneity test results showed a significance value of 0.308 > 0.05, indicating that the data are homogeneous or have the same variance. The findings revealed that the use of hand puppet media had a significant effect on students' speaking skills. The hypothesis testing using a Paired Sample T-Test showed a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that the result is statistically significant. Therefore, the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) is accepted, meaning there is a significant difference in students’ speaking skills before and after being taught using hand puppet media.

ests measuring the six aspects of speaking ability—pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, fluency, understanding, and tasks—were used to gather data. SPSS version 25 was used for data analysis. The findings show that SMP Kota Cirebon's speaking ability had been significantly affected by the ARKA approach. This is demonstrated by the coefficient of determination (R Square) value of 0.636, which indicates that the ARKA approach accounts for 63.6% of the diversity in students' speaking ability. In addition, the multiple linear regression model is statistically significant (Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05), according to the ANOVA test findings. According to the study's findings, junior high school students' speaking abilities can be enhanced by the ARKA technique, which is also a creative and relaxing alternative teaching strategy.

However, students face major obstacles such as limited vocabulary rela ted to Sharia and economic terminology, and a lack of confidence in speaking due to minimal exposure. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. The research subjects were beginner level participants of the Indonesian for Foreign Speakers Program (BIPA) at Prima University Medan, while the research object was the use of comic media in BIPA learning. The results showed that comic media can be used effectively to support BIPA learning objectives. Comics are able to facilitate the learning of listening, speaking, reading, and grammar, while creating a more pleasant classroom atmosphere. In addition to entertaining and attracting participants’ interest, comics also have various other benefits in BIPA learning. It is recommended for practitioners to continue to develop and integrate comic media into BIPA learning materials.

The program was conducted through material presentations and discussions using a relaxed conversational approach, making the activity feel less formal and more comfortable. This atmosphere allowed all the students to express their opinions without hesitation. This activity left a positive impression on the participants about the importance of literacy and avoiding excessive use of mobile phones to access social media and online games.

To achieve this, a systematic literature review is conducted, establishing a structured theoretical framework by drawing on findings from previous research. The study concludes that essential language competencies for global business success include verbal communication, writing skills, cross-cultural understanding, listening, and negotiation abilities. Among these, verbal skills in English, as an international language, are especially crucial in settings such as presentations, meetings, and negotiations. At the high school level and equivalent, students begin preparing for the next stage in their education or entering the workforce. Many challenges arise for students when speaking in front of an audience in a formal setting and explaining their presentations. Students face difficulties due to a lack of self-confidence, nervousness, panic, and a lack of mastery over the material they will present. In addition to a lack of self-confidence, other challenges include limited vocabulary, low communication skills, fear of judgment from others, and insufficient preparation. Basic public speaking training at Al Ma'shum High School in Kisaran would be highly beneficial for students to boost their self-confidence, enhance their communication skills, sharpen their critical and logical thinking abilities, and equip them for entering the workforce. The basic public speaking training will involve methods such as self-introduction exercises, role-playing, speech structure practice, impromptu speaking, expression training, intonation and articulation exercises, as well as feedback and evaluation.
