AN OVERIVEW OF TOMATO JUICE ADMINISTRATION ON BLOOD PRESURE REDUCTION IN ELDERLY PATIENTS WITH HYPERTENSION IN GEMURUH VILLAGE

Abstract: Background: Hypertension is a common non-communicable health problem among the elderly and poses a risk of serious complications. Objective: To observe the changes in blood pressure in elderly patients with hypertension following the administration of tomato juice. Method: A case study design involving one elderly respondent (78 years old) with mild hypertension. The intervention consisted of administering 200 ml of tomato juice every morning before meals for 7 consecutive days. Blood pressure was measured every morning before and after consuming the juice. Results: There was an average reduction of 7.4 mmHg in systolic blood pressure and 5.4 mmHg in diastolic blood pressure after 7 days of intervention, indicating a positive effect of tomato juice in lowering blood pressure. Conclusion: Daily administration of tomato juice for 7 days effectively reduced blood pressure in an elderly hypertensive individual, suggesting it as a safe and practical non-pharmacological therapy.

Abstract: Background: Diabetic ulcers are a chronic complication frequently experienced by individuals with diabetes mellitus and significantly contribute to morbidity, mortality, and lower extremity amputation rates. Modern dressings based on the moist wound healing principle have been proven more effective than conventional methods, as they maintain wound moisture and support tissue regeneration. Objective: To describe the treatment of diabetic ulcers using the modern dressing method with red fruit (Pandanus conoideus Lamk) ointment in Gelang Village, Rakit District. Methods : This study used a descriptive case study approach involving one diabetic ulcer patient who met the inclusion criteria. Wound care was performed every two days for 14 days using modern dressing and red fruit ointment. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Results: There was an improvement in wound conditions after the application of red fruit ointment, marked by an increase in granulation tissue and a decrease in necrotic tissue. The active ingredients in the ointment such as β-carotene, tocopherol, oleic acid, and linoleic acid have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects that accelerate the healing process. Conclusion: Modern dressing with red fruit ointment is effective in accelerating the healing process of diabetic ulcers and can serve as an alternative topical therapy to support optimal wound recovery

One effort to help lower blood glucose levels is… s through complementary therapy using natural ingredients such as tomato juice and dragon fruit juice, which contain various active compounds such as lycopene, fiber, vitamin C, and antioxidants.Objective: To determine the effect of tomato juice and dragon fruit juice on 2-hour post prandial blood glucose levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. Methods: This research is a case study with two subjects who met the inclusion criteria. The intervention was administered for 7 days, during which subjects consumed tomato juice and dragon fruit juice. Blood glucose levels were measured before and after the intervention using an Easy Touch device. Results: The study showed a decrease in blood glucose levels after administration of both juices. This indicates that the combination of tomato juice and dragon fruit juice can significantly lower blood glucose levels. Conclusion: Administering tomato juice and dragon fruit juice can be an effective complementary therapy in lowering blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Water Tepid Sponge is a combination of warm compress techniques, superficial vascular block compress techniques and wiping techniques. The compression technique is carried out at several points where there are large blood vessels (neck folds, right and left axillary folds, right and left thigh folds) so that vasodilation occurs and then accelerates evaporation and conduction to lower body temperature in children. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of administering Water Tepid Sponge (WTS) to reduce body temperature in toddlers with hyperthermia problems in Panican Village. Method: This study used a descriptive case study with respondents of toddlers with hyperthermia problems. The focus of this case study is the provision of Water Tepid Sponge (WTS) with hyperthermia problems as a nonpharmacological action. This study was conducted in Panican Village for 3 days starting on 23-25 June 2025. Results: After being given Water Tepid Sponge (WTS) for 3 days with 1 meeting within 15-30 minutes using water temperature of 37oC40oC, the child's body temperature decreased, the initial result was 38.7oC and after being given Water Tepid Sponge (WTS) for 3 days, the result was 37.3oC. Conclusion: Providing Water Tepid Sponge (WTS) can reduce body temperature in toddlers with hyperthermia problems in Panican Village.  

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN COMMUNITY RESOURCES AND RELIGIOUS SPIRITUAL COPING WITH COPING STRATEGIES IN CAREGIVER ADAPTATION FOR POST-STROKE FAMILY MEMBERS IN KOTAMOBAGU CITY, INDONESIA

Globally, the incidence and morbidity rates of stroke continue to increase.… rease. The quality of life of acute and chronic stroke patients is influenced by post-stroke depression. Community resources (CR) and spiritual religious coping (SRC) factors are also related to the coping adaptation strategies of family caregivers for members who have experienced a stroke. Patients who experience post-stroke depression show a lower quality of life one year after stroke compared to those who do not experience it. This study is a quantitative research with an observational study design. The study was conducted from January to March 2024 in Kotamobagu City. The total population of stroke patients distributed across seven community health centers in Tomohon City is 200 patients. The sample was taken using total sampling method consisting of 200 family caregivers. The results were then analyzed using the Chi Square test with SPSS. All variables were significantly related to the coping adaptation strategies of family caregivers for members who had a stroke. Community resources (CR) were significantly related to caregiver coping strategies (p = 0.025), and spiritual religious coping (SRC) was also significantly related to coping strategies (p = 0.032). Community resources and spiritual religious coping among family caregivers of post-stroke patients are needed to increase motivation and reduce caregiver stress..

OVERVIEW OF GIVING BOILED SOURSOP LEAF WATER TO REDUCE GOUT ARTHRITIS LEVELS IN ELDERLY PATIENTS IN KARANGJAMBU VILLAGE, KARANGJAMBU DISTRICT, PURBALINGGA REGENCY

Abstract: Background: Gout arthritis is a degenerative disease commonly experienced by the elderly due to elevated uric acid levels in the blood. One safe non-pharmacological treatment alternative is the use of herbal remedies such… h as soursop leaves (Annona muricata L), which contain active compounds like flavonoids and alkaloids that may reduce uric acid levels. Objective: To describe the effect of boiled soursop leaf water on reducing uric acid levels in elderly patients with gout arthritis in Karangjambu Village, Karangjambu Subdistrict, Purbalingga Regency. Method: This study employed a case study method. Subjects were given an intervention of 200 ml of boiled soursop leaf water daily (100 ml in the morning and 100 ml in the evening) for seven consecutive days. Uric acid levels were measured before and after the intervention. Results: After seven days of soursop leaf water administration, uric acid levels decreased from an average of 8.7–9.0 mg/dl to 5.5–5.8 mg/dl. This suggests that the active compounds in soursop leaves are effective in inhibiting xanthine oxidase and promoting uric acid excretion through urine. Conclusion: Boiled soursop leaf water is effective in lowering uric acid levels in elderly patients with gout arthritis and can serve as a safe and practical complementary non-pharmacological therapy within the community.

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the influence of religiosity and academic resilience on decreasing the level of academic anxiety of students of the Master of Islamic Education Program at the Sultan Syarif Kasim State Islamic… University, Riau. Academic anxiety is a common psychological challenge experienced by postgraduate students. Religiosity and academic resilience are seen as protective factors that can help students manage academic stress in a healthier way. This study uses a quantitative method with data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires and documentation. The research sample consisted of 41 students from three semesters selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was carried out using the independent sample t-test using SPSS version 25. The results showed that religiosity had a significant effect on academic anxiety with a significance value of 0.029, while academic resilience showed a stronger effect with a significance value of 0.000. Because the significance results of both variables are less than 0.05, the higher the religiosity and academic resilience of students, the lower their level of academic anxiety. This finding confirms that the integration of the values ​​of religiosity and resilience is very important in supporting students' mental resilience. Strengthening religiosity and fostering academic resilience can be effective strategies to reduce academic anxiety in postgraduate higher education.    

FACTORS INFLUENCING TOURISTS’ PERCEPTIONS AT MILKINDO AGROTOURISM, KEPANJEN, MALANG REGENCY

Abstract: Milkindo Agrotourism, located in Malang Regency, was an educational tourism destination that combined modern livestock and agricultural activities. This study examined the influence of attraction, accessibility, amenity,… and ancillary factors on visitor perceptions. Data were collected in February 2025 through questionnaires distributed to 100 visitors. The research instruments were tested for validity and reliability, and classical assumption tests were performed to ensure the appropriateness of multiple linear regression analysis. The results revealed that visitors rated the clarity of registration information and memorable experiences the highest. Regression analysis showed that attraction significantly negatively affected visitor perception, while accessibility, amenity, and ancillary factors had significant positive effects. This indicated that enhancing accessibility, amenity, and ancillary improved visitor satisfaction, whereas increasing attraction elements unexpectedly lowered visitor perception. In conclusion, effective management of attraction, accessibility, amenity, and ancillary was essential to foster positive visitor perceptions and enhance the competitiveness of Milkindo Agrotourism as a leading educational tourism destination. The study recommended continuous innovation and improvement to support sustainable development in education-based agrotourism.

THE EFFECT OF BENSON RELAXATION ON PAIN LEVELS IN BREAST CANCER PATIENTS AT EDUARDO XIMENES GENERAL HOSPITAL, BAUCAU, TIMOR-LESTE

Abstract: Pain in breast cancer is one of the most common and significant problems experienced by patients. If not properly managed, the impact of breast cancer pain can lead to increased morbidity and a diminished quality of life.… . This study aims to determine the effect of Benson relaxation on pain levels in breast cancer patients. A quantitative research method was employed using a pre-experimental one-group pre-test and post-test design. The sample consisted of 17 patients selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). The average pain score of respondents during the first measurement (pre-test) was 6.12, and during the second measurement (post-test) it decreased to 3.12. The difference in average pain levels between the first and second measurements showed a reduction of 3.00 points. The statistical test results revealed an Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) p-value of 0.000, indicating a significant effect of Benson relaxation on reducing pain in breast cancer patients. Benson relaxation can significantly help lower pain levels after therapy. This relaxation technique plays an important role by inhibiting sympathetic nerve activity, which in turn reduces oxygen consumption by the body and relaxes the muscles, leading to a sense of calm and comfort.
