MITIGATING EMERGENCY RISKS IN SUNNAH CUPPING THROUGH MEDICAL AND SHARIA INTEGRATION

Isdianto, Andik, Fitrianti, Novariza, Arif , Abdul Hamid, Widada , Wahyudi
Abstract: Sunnah cupping therapy is a traditional Islamic health practice increasingly embraced for its spiritual and therapeutic benefits. However, its widespread use, especially by uncertified practitioners, raises serious concerns… rns about patient safety and emergency risks. This study aims to identify key systemic risk factors of medical emergencies related to sunnah cupping and propose an integrative framework combining Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) with modern clinical standards. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed using a systematic literature review of peer-reviewed journals, clinical reports, Islamic texts, and contemporary fatwas. Thematic analysis revealed five major risk categories: lack of medical screening, unlicensed practitioners, hidden comorbidities, absence of emergency protocols, and poor understanding of medical safety. Reported complications included hypovolemic shock, infections, and prolonged wound healing—especially in patients with undiagnosed diabetes or coagulation disorders. The study also found that public misconceptions equating religious merit with clinical safety further worsen these risks. The research highlights the urgent need for standardized medical and sharia-based training, certification systems, and public education. Collaboration among healthcare professionals, Islamic scholars, and educational institutions is essential to establish a safe, accountable, and spiritually valid model of sunnah cupping. Integrating medical protocols with fiqh compliance can significantly reduce emergency incidents, enhance practitioner competency, and preserve the prophetic nature of the practice within a modern health framework. These findings offer a strategic path for safer implementation of prophetic medicine across Muslim communities.

The questionnaire has been tested for validity and reliability and scaled according to the Likert rule (1-5). Then tabulation was carried out on the respondents' answers to then be averaged and applied through the EPIC diagram. The calculation results showed that two dimensions, namely the Persuasion and Communication dimensions, got a value of 3.22 and 3.14 in the effective criteria and the next two variables, namely Empathy and Impact, got a value of 3.48 and 3.47 in the effective criteria. Of the various indicators, the question with the lowest value was about the legislative candidate's promise with a score of 3.01, considering that political promises are the most vulnerable things to prospective voters and influence the next election.

Therefore, collaborative efforts and adequate funding are needed to ensure the provision of quality basic education, as well as open alternative education pathways. Sustainable policies such as the 12-year compulsory education program are expected to strengthen the foundation of education and increase access for future generations

Risky Alamsyah, Muhammad Rizal Firdaus, Rifa Arum Tazkya Maharani, Deliana Putri, Ahmad Farhan Abdilla
Abstract: This research highlights the strategic role of Pancasila learning in developing social and political awareness among students of Social Science Education Study Program (P.IPS) at Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University… rsity Malang. The background of this research is rooted in the low level of participation and awareness of social and political issues among the younger generation in the midst of globalization. To understand this phenomenon, the research used a descriptive qualitative approach with field research methods through structured interviews and direct observation. Social awareness indicators were measured based on the theory of Yoyo Sudaryo and Agus Ribowo, while political awareness refers to the theory of Almond and Verba. The data were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and inference. The results showed that Pancasila learning is able to increase students' social and political awareness through the internalization of values such as empathy, honesty, tolerance, and active participation in community life. In addition, this learning also encourages students' participation in political activities, strengthens their awareness of their rights and responsibilities as citizens, and forms a critical attitude toward various social issues. The implications of the results of this study indicate the importance of strengthening Pancasila learning as a character building tool for students who are active, critical, and empowered to face socio-political challenges in the future.

Diah Prihatiningsih, I Gusti Ayu Agung Diah Dwi Sukma, I Gusti Putu Agus Ferry Sutrisna Putra
Abstract: Healthcare services must continuously be improved to provide the best care for the community. Patient satisfaction is the result of patients' evaluations of healthcare services, comparing their expectations with the actual… al healthcare services received in a hospital setting. Patient satisfaction with laboratory services is not solely determined by the availability of sufficient healthcare personnel but also requires strong commitment and dedication from healthcare workers to provide professional services, supported by adequate facilities and medical equipment. This study aims to assess the level of outpatient satisfaction with laboratory services at RSUD Klungkung. The research employs an observational method with a cross-sectional design. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires, with a sample of 97 respondents selected through purposive sampling. The data analysis in this study was performed using the Chi-Square test. Based on the five service quality dimensions—reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles—the results showed a p-value < 0.05. Among these dimensions, responsiveness had the lowest p-value (0.005 < 0.05), indicating its stronger influence. These findings conclude that there is a significant relationship between service quality dimensions and the level of outpatient satisfaction with laboratory services at RSUD Klungkung. Furthermore, the responsiveness dimension, which had the lowest p-value compared to the other four dimensions, indicates that it has the most significant impact on patient satisfaction with laboratory services provided by the staff at RSUD Klungkung.

THE INFLUENCE OF FAMILY COMMUNICATION PATTERNS ON ADULT CHARACTER FORMATION: A BIBLIOMETRIC STUDY

Luria Hawa, Lia
Abstract: Family communication plays a fundamental role in shaping an individual's character, particularly in adulthood. This study examines the influence of family communication patterns on adult character formation through a bibliometric… liometric analysis. Utilizing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and bibliometric approach, this research explores key trends, theoretical frameworks, and scholarly discussions related to family communication and character development. The study highlights the significance of open, trust-based, and emotionally supportive communication in fostering essential adult traits such as responsibility, integrity, empathy, and adaptability. Findings suggest that families with high conversation orientation cultivate individuals with stronger social skills and problem-solving abilities, whereas rigid conformity-oriented communication may hinder independent decision-making. Additionally, digital communication emerges as a growing factor influencing family dynamics. By mapping research trends and analyzing citation patterns, this study provides valuable insights into the long-term impact of family communication on adulthood and offers recommendations for future research.

Putu Hendra Putra, Diyah Sukanti Cahyaningsih, Gaguk Apriyanto
Abstract: The need for accountability in Indonesian government demands transparency and accurate financial reports. This research examines the influence of work competency and the use of information technology (IT) on the quality… of financial reports and their impact on the operational efficiency of Korem 083/BDJ. The variables studied include work competency, IT utilization, financial report quality, and operational efficiency. The research results show that IT utilization has a positive impact on operational efficiency, while work competency has a negative impact. However, work and IT competencies contribute positively to the quality of financial reports, which ultimately increases operational efficiency. The quality of financial reports has also been proven to mediate the relationship between work competency, IT utilization and operational efficiency. These findings confirm that increasing operational efficiency is very dependent on the quality of financial reports as well as optimizing information technology and work competencies.
