Abstract:This study aims to examine the academic resilience of Islamic boarding school students through a library research approach by reviewing national and international literature related to personal, social, spiritual, and pedagogical…
dagogical factors that shape students’ academic endurance. Findings indicate that academic resilience among santri develops through the interaction of self-efficacy, intrinsic motivation, self-regulation skills, and social support from peers, teachers, and dormitory caregivers. The disciplined, communal, and religious environment of pesantren strengthens adaptive coping mechanisms, particularly in managing academic pressure, demanding study schedules, and religious obligations. International literature highlights that interpersonal support and religious culture enhance students’ psychological resilience and academic engagement. Moreover, spiritual routines such as prayer and scriptural study function as emotional regulation tools that promote mental stability. The review also reveals that pesantren’s intensive instructional methods foster long-term academic perseverance, although they may increase stress when not accompanied by adequate social support. Overall, this study underscores that academic resilience among santri is a product of the holistic ecology of Islamic boarding school education. Therefore, strengthening resilience requires integrated strategies that simultaneously develop psychological, social, and spiritual capacities.

Abstract:People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) face multiple psychosocial challenges, including stigma, discrimination, and mental health problems that may reduce quality of life and treatment adherence. Resilience and psychosocial…
support are recognized as important protective factors that help PLWHA adapt positively to these challenges; however, existing evidence remains fragmented and has not been comprehensively synthesized. This study aimed to examine the role of psychosocial support in strengthening resilience and its implications for mental health among PLWHA through a systematic review approach. A comprehensive literature search was conducted across national and international scientific databases, including quantitative, qualitative, and review studies that addressed resilience, psychosocial support, and mental health among PLWHA, with a particular focus on Asian settings. Articles were selected based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The findings indicate that psychosocial support—such as support from family, peers, and healthcare providers—plays a significant role in enhancing resilience among PLWHA. Higher levels of resilience are consistently associated with lower levels of depression and anxiety, as well as improved psychological well-being and quality of life. In conclusion, psychosocial support is essential in strengthening resilience and promoting mental health among PLWHA, highlighting the importance of integrating psychosocial interventions into HIV/AIDS care services to support long-term well-being and adaptive coping.
Abstract:The objective of this study was to examine how deepfake-based humor becomes socially acceptable despite its potential to function as digital harassment. This study focused on psychological mechanisms that explain audience…
e tolerance and normalization of harmful, identity-based humorous content in online environments. This study used a scoping review design to map and synthesize existing research across psychology, media studies, and cyberpsychology. The sources were identified through searches in major academic databases and were selected based on their relevance to deepfake technology, digital humor, online harassment, and psychological processes such as moral disengagement, online disinhibition, empathy reduction, and social norm reinforcement. The results indicate that acceptance of deepfake-based humor is commonly supported by four interrelated mechanisms, namely normalization through participatory digital culture, psychological distancing that weakens empathy, moral ambiguity created by humorous framing, and reduced accountability through diffusion of responsibility in online spaces. In addition, the literature conceptualizes deepfake humor as a hybrid phenomenon situated between remix-based entertainment and identity-targeting harm, shaped by platform visibility and engagement dynamics. This review highlights that deepfake-based humor may be tolerated not because it is harmless, but because it is routinely framed as “just a joke,” making its harm easier to minimize and socially overlook. Therefore, this study emphasizes the need for more direct empirical research and stronger interventions to prevent deepfake-based humor from becoming a normalized form of digital harassment in increasingly synthetic digital environments.
Abstract:This study examines the effects of a Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum on academic resilience and prosocial behavior in high-poverty primary schools, specifically at SDN No. 100907 Muara Ampolu I, Kec. Muara Batangtoru.…
angtoru. Employing a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group, 80 students participated, divided equally into intervention and control groups. The 12-week SEL program focused on self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. Data were collected using validated academic resilience and prosocial behavior instruments and analyzed through paired and independent sample t-tests. Findings revealed that students in the intervention group demonstrated significant improvements in academic resilience and prosocial behavior compared to the control group. The study highlights the potential of SEL curricula to foster adaptive coping strategies and positive social interactions among students in socioeconomically disadvantaged settings. Implications for educational policy and school practices are discussed, emphasizing the importance of SEL integration in primary education
Abstract:Mental disorders are a health problem that remains a major challenge in Indonesia. Auditory hallucinations are a sensory perception disorder that often occurs in patients with schizophrenia. Patients have difficulty distinguishing…
inguishing between real and unreal stimuli, which can lead to risky behaviors such as harming themselves or others. One non-pharmacological intervention that can be applied to address hallucinations is the rebuke technique, which is a firm and directed verbal action to reject perceived hallucinations. The purpose of this study is to describe nursing care for patients with sensory perception disorders: auditory hallucinations with the application of the rebuke technique as the main intervention. This study uses a descriptive case study approach on one patient in the Flamboyan Ward of Dr. RM. Soedjarwadi Klaten Mental Hospital. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation studies, then analyzed based on the stages of the nursing process. The results showed that after the rebuke technique intervention was consistently implemented for three days, there was a decrease in the frequency of hallucinations from 3-4 times to 1-2 times a day. The patient also showed an increase in the ability to recognize and reject hallucinations independently. Furthermore, the patient began to engage in social interactions and participate more actively in daily activities. The conclusion is that the reprimand technique has proven effective as a nursing intervention in addressing auditory hallucinations. This intervention is simple, easy to implement, and can improve the patient's coping skills in dealing with hallucinatory symptoms.
Abstract:Stroke is a condition in which brain function is rapidly disrupted and lasts for more than 24 hours due to an interruption of blood flow to the brain. Globally, the incidence and morbidity rates of stroke continue to increase.…
rease. The quality of life of acute and chronic stroke patients is influenced by post-stroke depression. Community resources (CR) and spiritual religious coping (SRC) factors are also related to the coping adaptation strategies of family caregivers for members who have experienced a stroke. Patients who experience post-stroke depression show a lower quality of life one year after stroke compared to those who do not experience it. This study is a quantitative research with an observational study design. The study was conducted from January to March 2024 in Kotamobagu City. The total population of stroke patients distributed across seven community health centers in Tomohon City is 200 patients. The sample was taken using total sampling method consisting of 200 family caregivers. The results were then analyzed using the Chi Square test with SPSS. All variables were significantly related to the coping adaptation strategies of family caregivers for members who had a stroke. Community resources (CR) were significantly related to caregiver coping strategies (p = 0.025), and spiritual religious coping (SRC) was also significantly related to coping strategies (p = 0.032). Community resources and spiritual religious coping among family caregivers of post-stroke patients are needed to increase motivation and reduce caregiver stress..
Abstract:This study aimed to identify risk factors associated with hypertension in Bonto Tallasa Village, Uluere Subdistrict, Bantaeng Regency, in 2025. The research examined three factors: family history, excessive sodium intake,…
, and stress. A quantitative case–control design was applied to 60 respondents (30 cases and 30 controls) selected through purposive sampling. The results showed that individuals with a family history of hypertension were about 26 times more likely to develop hypertension than those without such a history, indicating a strong and significant association. Excessive sodium intake increased the risk approximately 3.5 times and was statistically significant. Stress was associated with nearly double the risk, but this association was not statistically significant, possibly due to individual differences in coping mechanisms and measurement limitations of subjective stress levels. This suggests that stress may influence hypertension indirectly through behavioral or physiological pathways. In conclusion, family history and excessive sodium intake are significant predictors of hypertension, while stress contributes to an elevated yet statistically nonsignificant risk. Preventive strategies should emphasize sodium reduction, regular blood pressure monitoring, and effective stress management in daily life.
Abstract:This study explores the psychological fortification offered by the Islamic practices of tawakal (reliance on God) and dzikir (remembrance of God) in addressing modern challenges, such as increased anxiety due to technological…
gical advances and complex social needs. Employing a literature review methodology, this research investigates the influence of these practices on mental health and behavioral implications. The selection of peer-reviewed articles published within the last ten years involved databases like PubMed and Google Scholar with keywords related to Islamic spirituality and mental health. This method allowed a comprehensive analysis of contemporary studies, focusing on the therapeutic benefits of tawakal and dzikir in clinical settings. Results indicate that tawakal significantly reduces anxiety by fostering a relinquishing of control and instilling peace of mind, while dzikir enhances emotional stability through its meditative repetition of sacred phrases, promoting relaxation and reducing stress responses. Both practices not only support spiritual well-being but also offer practical coping mechanisms in stressful situations. The conclusion underlines the potential integration of tawakal and dzikir into conventional psychotherapeutic practices. It suggests further exploration into the incorporation of these spiritual elements within mental health frameworks to enhance therapeutic outcomes and patient recovery. This research contributes to the broader discourse on the intersection of spirituality and psychology, highlighting the relevance of traditional spiritual practices in contemporary mental health paradigms.
